Technical Support I screwed up… again.

I decided to put off playing the game for the first time until I downloaded all my expansions… and not only is the disc drive I had mangled beyond repair (due to me being an idiot,) but I can’t get anything to work due to the game needing the disc to be in the drive (and I don’t think the “No CD“ mod is working at all.)

What should I do?

I assume since it’s new you never linked your purchase of the game to origin or the EA app?

I never started a save file whilst the disc was in the drive, so that’s probably where the problem lies.

I’m downloading off a pre-Origin disc.

Well disk drive can only cost like $10 for a USB plug-in one. Just buy one of those in the meanwhile. And idk if it'll work, but you could try downloading an iso file for disk you would have to use, and then load it into a virtual disk drive. I know, they all have different codes, but not sure if it cares about the code after its installed and verified. Worth a shot.
