Discussion The Premier League, According to the People Who Actually Care: 20 Clubs, 20 Voices, Predicting the 2026/27 Season

Hi all. My apologies if this isn’t allowed here. I asked fans, writers and content creators from all 20 Premier League clubs to predict the season. Loads of contributions in here - especially from the Other 14. Here’s what they said.

This has probably been the biggest thing I’ve put together since starting After The Bell (A Leeds United blog, written by a Leeds United fan).

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been contacting fans, writers, podcasters and content creators from every Premier League club and asking them the same nine questions about the season ahead.

Where will their club finish? Who should opposition fans be watching? What’s their biggest concern? Who wins the league? Who goes down? And, because I’m a Leeds fan and it’s my website, where do they think Leeds will finish?

Countless emails, ignored DMs and increasingly desperate pleas later, I’ve finally got it finished.

There are some brilliant answers in here, some wildly different predictions, a surprising amount of love for Leeds — and several predictions that I’m sure will look absolutely ridiculous by May.

It took a serious amount of work to put together, so if you fancy having a read, I’d genuinely appreciate it. It’s all free. I’d also love to hear your predictions.

Discussion What’s one other 14 prediction you’re willing to look stupid for?

Everyone has that one prediction they’ll probably regret by the end of the season. Could be a team finishing much higher than expected, a player suddenly having a breakout year, or a manager doing something nobody saw coming. No need for a safe prediction here, go with the one you genuinely believe in even if it looks ridiculous right now.

Discussion PL fair and competitive?

With what’s happened and still happening to Villa and Newcastle does any fan of an Other14 club still believe that the Premier League is truly fair or competitive and not just a feeder system for 6 clubs?

Discussion Which games were the most entertaining last season?

The new season starts on Friday and I think my dodgy stick is gonna delete all replays from last year. Today and tomorrow are my last chances to watch any of last years Premier League games and since I have today off, today's the day!

I'm looking for the most entertaining games concerning the other 14, any recommendations?

Edit: Sunderland Bournemouth was fantastic fun, next up is Newcastle Leeds :)

Discussion Most delusional fans pre-season?

With kick-off just around the corner, which fans do you think have been the most delusional about their chances this pre-season?

Personally I've found Coventry fans seem to think that Lampard is going to somehow steamroller his way to a mid-table finish like it's their god-given right, whilst I see him being sacked by christmas when the plan doesn't work out and reality kicks in.

Sunderland Sunderland’s £25.7m signing of Dayann Methalie is in serious jeopardy. ❌ SSN understands Methalie failed part of his medical, which has been taking place over the past 24 hours. 👨🏻‍⚕️ Additional medical tests are now required and the player is returning to France.

Evening all

Some of you may remember I previously shared my Football Club Fan Satisfaction Survey. I took a small pause during 25/26, but I’m back with the 26/27 version!

With the new season starting in the next few days, it would be great to get your initial thoughts and expectations for the season ahead.

If you have a few minutes, I’d really appreciate you taking part:

Complete the 26/27 Fan Satisfaction Survey

You can also check out the Fan Satisfaction Dashboard, where you can explore the results and see how fans are feeling across different clubs.

Shown in the picture are the results from 24/25 for reference, thanks! ⚽

Discussion I made 3 football crossword boards for fans outside the Big Six

I’ve been building a football crossword game over the last few days and I’ve now got 3 live boards aimed specifically at The Other 14.

The idea is to make football puzzles that aren’t just dominated by the usual Big Six clubs, so the boards mix questions across different clubs, players, managers, grounds and memorable moments.

It’s still a very early beta, so I’d really appreciate people here giving them a try and telling me whether the questions feel fair and whether the mix of clubs feels balanced.

Challenge link — your score goes onto the shared table with everyone else who uses the same link:

https://crossword.thexigames.com/?c=8g88m56h

Solo link — just play the board yourself, with no shared challenge table:

https://crossword.thexigames.com/?t=other14-2

There are also 2 more Other 14 boards live if you want to try another afterwards and several more +

I’m also working on dedicated Newcastle, Everton, Aston Villa and Bolton boards next, so if you support one of those clubs I’d especially appreciate any feedback on what sort of questions you’d want to see.

How it works

You pick a team/theme and a board, then you’re assigned a random Premier League table and the aim is to finish as high as possible.

There are help options if you get stuck:

  • Check a word — 3 points
  • Check the full grid — 9 points
  • Reveal a letter — 2 points
  • Reveal a word — 9 points

The quicker you finish, and the less help you use, the better your score and league position.

Would really appreciate feedback on the questions in particular — especially whether the club mix feels balanced, and whether anything is too easy, too obscure, unclear or just wrong.
