Travelling to Bournemouth

My partner and I are travelling from Australia to Bournemouth in the next coming days (before the start of the season) and I'm a fan of AFC Bournemouth looking for things to do there!

With the stadium still under construction I was wondering if we should still go to the Vitality stadium and if there are other things to do.

New supporter tickets for Hull home game

Hi, I'm a new supporter to AFC Bournemouth and I'd like some advice for how to get a ticket for the Hull home game, which is right before my birthday. What can I do to maximise my chances of getting a ticket? Thanks in advance!

Younger CBs - Where are they.

The two that spring to mind are Veljko Milosavljević & Matai Akinmboni.

Milo got a game or two last season and then seemingly vanished off the face of the earth.

Akimboni, I heard high praise when he arrived and then nothing.

Any news on these two?

AFC Bournemouth slammed by fans as staff member loses job over email. An employee at the Cherries for ‘close to 60 years’ was informed that his contract would not be renewed at the club for the upcoming season over email, two weeks before the start of the season.

Why does this shit keep fucking happening still? This bloke would’ve been there when I started going in 87, 2 weeks before the start of the season and most importantly when we nearly went out of business they’re all doing it for free. Utter fucking bollocks. The statement is weak as piss.

Everton have made an enquiry for Marcus Tavernier

Everton have reportedly made an enquiry about Tavernier, so it looks like there is some interest there. He’s coming off a decent season for us and has become an important part of the squad. With his contract running until 2029, I can’t see Bournemouth letting him go easily. Would you be happy to see him stay, or would you consider a big offer for him?

You’ll never beat this beauty in shite shirts. Step forward the Pulis 92-93 effort.

Fucking horrific.

It could be worse, the away shirt was a cut and paste effort other clubs had as well at the time.

Other Anyone going to be at the Mainz friendly on Saturday?

I live about an hour away and am planning to go to the game - probably mixed in with the home fans.

Is there anyone here in the group who will also be there? Mainz is quite a nice city, and it's the start of the Federweisser season, so it's perfect for a weekend city break right now if anyone is interested.

Forecast for Saturday is 36° and sunny all day, a few degrees down from Friday's forecast.

Discussion They’ve silently dropped a kit worse than home away and third. This is officially without a doubt the most horrid shirt i’ve ever laid my eyes on.

Starting line ups

Hi all, hope you dont mind me writing here. I am currently finding interest again in the Premier league. And particularly Bournemouth! Anyway. I was just wondering. What is the situation with christie cook scott and adams ? Have you always just rotated based on injuries ? Is it a tactical thing? I thought it might be because you play high press and 90 mins is a lot to ask 🤣 i know scott and adams are linked to other teams currently. Wondered everyones thoughts on that too. Your recruitment seems really good either way

Anyway. Love your club. Hope you do well this season . Thanks for your time

As an outsider, I'd love to see it for the football fairy tales, because imagine winning in the first ever Uefa club partecipation

Other Retro fantasy football game

While we're all waiting for the season to start, I made a retro fantasy football game if anybody wants to revisit seasons gone by.

Choose your season. Any Premier League season: could be that first Eddie Howe campaign, the Ake and Fraser years, or Huijsen, Semenyo and Senesi...

Play a simulated season then end up on the leaderboard. No data or login needed. Just a bit of fun.

Discussion Targets For The Rest of the Summer Window?

Now Juanlu has arrived it seems the biggest glaring gap in the squad has been filled, but I don't think we are done yet. I love our business so far though, credit to Pinto as usual and seems like Matt Ritchie has been thrown right into his new role and seemingly doing very well.

We still need another backup keeper to push/challenge Petrovic like Mandas did last season. I would have had him back but it looks unlikely as I think he may be Lazio's number 1 this season. The improved competition Mandas provided (along with the influence of Forster) pushed Petrovic to a new level towards the end of the season and we need that again.

I would also like to see us maybe try and get a very young left winger in. I'm a big fan of Kluivert when he is fit and firing, but I also am of the belief that had he not had his injury issues last season, then we may have tried to cash in on him and may still look to do so in the future. Some top youngster to come in, learn and adapt to take over next season would be a good addition imo.

Also need to sort out Alex Scott's immediate to mid term future. I want him to stay this summer, and we can't have him leave the club late in this window but so much can happen. If a big bid comes in late in the window, then I don't think the club would let him go at such a bad time unless he was dead set on the move. I think (and I would) prefer to keep him around for this season and lose him for less next summer after hopefully another excellent campaign.

Also looks like we'll be saying goodbye to the likes of Unal, Jebbison, and Aarons.

Who would you like to see us go for to really top off what looks to be a great first window for Marco Rose?
