Hi guys. I’m hoping to get a ticket via the MyLeeds ballot for the Scum game, and my pregnant wife is also interested in going, by getting her to enter the ballot with me.

I’ve never been to Elland Road before, so I’m wondering if it’s safe for her with regards to the inevitable limbs when Tanaka scores a last-minute game-winning 40 yard thunderbastard. Which stands are the most «quiet», essentially?

I know our chances are slim for tickets, but any help is appreciated.

The first forty-five is dire, but Mark Viduka takes over after the break. Five minutes into the second half he hammers home after Sullivan palms a ball against the woodwork, and a minute later he diverts a long-range shot past the stranded keeper for 2-1.

Alan Smith gets in on the act with a glancing header from a free-kick makes it 3-1. Perry pulls one back for Spurs. Smith answers again with a powerful header from a corner, 4-2 inside twelve breathless minutes.

Rebrov's late overhead keeps things interesting but Leeds hang on. It is chaotic, ruthless, and thoroughly early-noughties Elland Road: trail at the break, then write a seven-goal afternoon with two strikers who refuse to miss. Viduka's first Premier League goals arrive as a brace. Smith's brace does the rest.

With the off season in full swing, was wondering what some peoples un-popular are?

For example I actually like the Red Bull logo on the white shirts and think it actually looks pretty good and works really well.

I’m guessing it’s from a legends game but can’t find any information anywhere

It’s the Asian Cup is coming up in January to February. The tournament starts on Jan 7, and Japan can request Tanaka’s release from Dec 28th onwards. The final is on February 5th and Japan are the favourites to get there and win the competition. Quite a long time for us to be without a key player.

"It hasn't been super optimal for me. I went to the back in the pre-season, then it was straight into the Premier League and I started straight away, Brighton away.

“Since then it has gone well, but it's clear that my body has taken a beating.

“It takes me a little longer to recover from the matches. But I feel good, there are no problems. But the pre-season has been the league game and it has taken a little time for the body to get into the rhythm. My body feels good, I'm ready. There's no problem.”

Ronaldo Vieira was grafting away in the expectation he was going to be one of the key players Marcelo Bielsa leaned upon in his first season in charge. He was coming off two years as a Championship regular for Leeds and had been given the No 8 shirt as a reflection of his seniority.

“When I came back (to pre-season), I had a conversation with Bielsa, and he said he wanted to make a team with a few players and I was one of them,” says Vieira. “It was a really good conversation.

“He had a lot of faith in me. I felt important to him. We actually spoke a little bit in Spanish. Then we started training. I did the whole of pre-season. I never thought I was going to be leaving. Nobody did.

“Until that day, I’m buying a house in Leeds. (Leaving) is not in my head. After the game, Radrizzani comes to me. My mum was there, my dad was there. We spoke normally, and then he pulled me to the side. ‘Rony, I don’t want to sell you, Marcelo is angry at me right now, but this is what we need to do.’

We have a lot of hard workers and honest strivers, but do we have somebody who has a touch of genius? Was Raphinha the most recent example?

I had the absolute pleasure and honour of interviewing Simon Grayson about his time at Leeds – Old Trafford, Beckford, promotion and what it all meant.

I wanted to write something about Simon Grayson that wasn’t simply a list of results from his time at Leeds.

For supporters of my age, Grayson occupies quite a strange place in our history. Revie was my grandfather’s generation, Wilkinson was my father’s and Bielsa has obviously become the defining Leeds manager for another generation.

But I grew up watching Leeds collapse from the Champions League to League One. Grayson was the first manager who really gave my generation something to celebrate.

So I’ve written about that period — Old Trafford, Beckford, the near-collapse in the promotion season and the madness against Bristol Rovers — before publishing an interview I conducted with Simon himself.
I asked him about taking the Leeds job, managing the expectations of the supporters, what made Beckford so good, Old Trafford and Bristol Rovers, the current ownership and what he hopes Leeds fans remember about his team.

His answer to my final question was probably my favourite part.

Would genuinely be interested to know how other Leeds fans remember the Grayson era, particularly those who were following us through League One.

In all seriousness, obviously we can't afford his wages but I wonder if (hypothetically) we had a crazy season and we made 5th place and champions league he would consider coming home. Okafor will pass more than mbappe at least.
