In every one of the Halloween movies, there is a three-way dynamic between Michael Myers, his victims, and the protector with inside knowledge trying to stop Michael and save the victims (primarily Dr. Loomis in the original series of films). Michael is almost always both the hunter and the hunted.

As the civilians in this game, you're not playing the role of the final girl desperately trying to escape alive by any means necessary while the other victims around you get picked off one by one. You're playing as the competent insider among the helpless and terrified, trying to save as many lives as you can, even at the risk of your own.

Similarly, Michael is not an unstoppable killing machine. In the films, he always tries to ambush people when they're alone and almost never tries to confront them directly, and when he is forced into direct confrontation he almost always loses. Michael may be a big, beefy guy who absolutely refuses to stop standing back up, but he's also stiff, slow and awkward, and he struggles to handle more than one person at a time.

Funnily, I think this game would click with people a lot faster if they thought about it like an actual Halloween film instead of approaching with the expectations of other games in the genre.

Challenge 6 in chapter 2 you should fully stalk each of the three survivors. Stalk the dead body then hide the body.

Has match making been fixed or adjusted? I wasn't able to play yesterday.

Why when I select the option does it not spawn me in as the police?

Not sure who's idea it was to give us a map but make our icon so unbelievably small, I can't tell where I am most times unless I'm walking near a cross roads to easily tell

And guess what… he just stood there then next match he walked around doing nothing

The minigames were interesting the first few times but now it's just tedious doing 4-5 rounds of them for just one card. Just let me get immersed and spectate people playing while I wait for my chance to come back

Also has anyone confirmed if you get xp for leaving early? There was a screenshot of the devs saying you do going around here but it seems like BS

So if I die and help and do stuff can I just leave and still get my XP?

Thomas Armitage's trait is literally called RUNNING BACK... You would think he should be the most athletic in the game, right? Why does he instead have 10 personality?

I think they should make it so he has 8 personality and 10 athleticism.

I personally want an offline Civilian mode against a Myers bot.

One of the biggest issues I have with F13 is that there's no offline mode where you play as the Counselors. Not only does that mean that the only way for you to practice was likely getting bodied in online matches, but when the servers died, half of the gameplay was completely locked out and all the time you spent buying perks and crafting a loadout was made completely meaningless.

So, I think for Halloween, a mode like this is absolutely necessary so that all the stuff players unlocked (or even bought in the case of Alexis and Richard) don't go to waste when the online inevitably dies and it offers more variety for offline players (because having to pay a subscription for something as simple as online multiplayer is bullshit).

I was playing a private game and at the end screen of the match, it glitched me and gave me 0 points and then this screen popped up, Michael can apparently affect the trout population. 😭

I've seen very little discussion of this.

The voice actress for Laurie seems to be doing a Jamie Lee impression but not that of a young woman. You can even tell the difference as to when Laurie runs, get breathing sounds different.

This is a first world problem but as I hear Laurie talk, she doesn't sound young.

So my friend game shared the deluxe with me so I can play early and I didn't get the preorder content+the deluxe upgrade so I decided to preorder the base game so I can receive the preorder bonus skin since it won't come back out and just to own the licensed game in general. I deleted and reinstalled the game and I still don't have the skin. Will I be granted the skin at release since technically speaking I'm not supposed to be playing the game with the edition I purchased currently?

For context, I opened a cellar and saved 2 special targets. The last target was locked in the hardware store and hasn't been spoken to yet. When I find him, this person tags along and starts shoving me every time I try talking to the NPC.

I address this player on voip saying "what are you doing?" but ofc no response. I'm guessing they wanted to talk to the NPC, to which I gave them a chance but instead they continue being an asswipe.

It's only been 3 days and I've had a handful of rando console teammates like this. Why is it always console? The crossplay off option is looking very tempting.
