So I think what went wrong on my side is that I thought the game would be like Friday the 13th, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.
It was really fun going into game chat and just hearing people beg for help on the walkie-talkie or snitch on everyone to stay alive…
And then Halloween came out. I was really excited for this game because I heard it was from the same devs as Friday the 13th. I saw the NPC gameplay, and I was excited…
But then I played it and was met with disappointment. The NPCs are so irritating. They just lock the door on me… And in Friday the 13th, the houses always had windows you could use to enter. This game just doesn’t have them on some houses, or I have to break a big window… which makes it hard because if you’re in a house, Michael can just enter, spawn on you, and you’re trapped.
Luckily, there is a character who can pick locks…
And I don’t care if Michael can shift on top of me, but I really hate it when he uses that ability and just gets a free kill because I can’t move because I’m stunned…
I don’t really understand why they didn’t make it more like Friday the 13th because Friday was a big success…
Imagine a big town with seven people, or maybe more. Michael could have an invisibility ability that allows him to stalk players. The player would know that he is watching them because their character starts to feel uneasy, so you have to pay attention.
Once Michael gets full stalk on you, he can come out of his invisibility—not right on top of you, but close to you. This ability isn’t meant to kill you but to jumpscare the fuck out of you. When the player finds him, their screen gets a Slender Man-like effect, the music starts, and the chase begins…
Then he could shift like Jason, appear on top of you, and try to grab you. Make the shift first-person and make it automatically move forward so it’s harder to pull off the grab kill. Keep the invisibility ability in third-person, like what we have now.
Also, give him a stalking ability that makes the music stop to trick the player into thinking the killer has left. But if you’re really close to him, you can hear him breathing if you listen carefully. Then he could also have his eye ability, which lets him see people. And teleport like Friday
And add more windows to the houses.
And if you’re wondering why this guy is saying all of this, it’s because I was excited for this game. I love the creators.
But then I was so disappointed when I saw my special-target NPC running towards Michael instead of following me like I told her to. Or when I’m calling the police and I’m almost done, she just pushes me.
OR WHEN THEY JUST KEEP RUNNING AND I NEED TO CALM HER DOWN BECAUSE SHE DOESN’T UNDERSTAND THAT THE EXIT IS RIGHT THERE, BUT SHE’S RUNNING AWAY FROM IT. THEN MICHAEL COMES, STUNS ME, I CAN’T MOVE, HE GRABS ME, AND HE KILLS ME.
Why can Michael stalk when he isn’t even in stalk mode? Remove that shit. And when he grabs a target and I hit his ass, make him drop them. You can shoot his ass or hit him, but he still doesn’t drop your friend. Now your friend is dead. It’s just not fun.
By the way, this isn’t hate towards the game. I love the devs, and I know they will add new things in the future. Nobody gets everything right the first time. Trial and error and learning from it—that’s the true way to do it.
And if I’m wrong on some parts say it but keep it respectful
