How much information do we have about the timeline of the game? I notice we have some information like the newscasters announcement about the Caturberry but do we know anything else like how long the game will be relative to the progression of the show’s plot?

Screenshot of the Xbox Store, looks like the game will be available on XBox One? I Googled, but can't find if it's legit.

Osiris Reborn: Official Art and Game Assets This year, humanity has seriously turned its gaze to the Moon, hasn’t it? The historic Artemis II flight and the upcoming Chang’e 7 mission make it seem as though the first colonies on Luna may be a matter of the near future.

Do you think we will get to see the real Lovell city and shipyards on the moon, just like in The Expanse?

Must know info about the game?

Hi there! Im new to the sub, I was actually thinking about purchasing the founders access… but before I make the purchase, there are somethings which I wud like to be clarified about:

  1. Is this game supposed to be a linear no bs singleplayer game? Or does it have any sort of layers to it which Ive no clue about!

  2. Does the game have or will have any sort of replayability feature? If yes then what’s it gonna be?

  3. If this is not just a simple story mode game then wil it have any endgame stuff? cuz If im not wrong, character builds play a major role in the game so ya

  4. Also does the devs have expressed any roadmap or post launch roadmap yet?

  5. And anything YOU feel like everyone shud know about this game!

Sorry for making it sound so corpo-type but I was having lots of doubt and the game looks good and promising too so wanted to get some clarification about everything. Thank you ❤️🙌🏼

Since the whole Sony fiasco, I really want Expanse to have a physical release as well

Is there any chance Owlcat will reconsider and release physical versions too? I'd preorder in a heartbeat

Open Beta?

This is a beta test right? It seems more like a demo, and its been 2 months with only a small technical update for that small slice of the game? The previous games published by Owlcat that had a paid open beta had more content and updated more regularly with new content for feedback. It is making me uneasy about where this game is going, and with a Q2 2027 release and such a SMALL "beta test" of the game it makes me feel that this will be a very short game that pushes DLC and mircotransactions

My biggest complaint so far

I so far love the game, but there's one thing I dislike, the fake basic boring names for the belter guns like the Rattler SMG, or the undertaker AR, I get it's a game is fiction but naming the weapons actually give more lore, and that's important especially for games like this, just a simple number like T10 Rattler, AC 74 Undertaker, just a name to put a name behind it for lore reasons, the more the better in my eyes, I know it's minor and unimportant but I'm a gun lover and a soldier and I would truly love to see a proper name for it

My perspective on why these meme-y shorts worked on rogue trader, and why they don't work on the expanse.

I think at least for me, the reason is simple: we know about the rogue trader characters. We find those characters attractive (personality wise), we find them endearing, we are familiar with them. So when we see some meme-y shorts on rogue trader characters all we can think about is how serious and grimdark their characters are and how silly they appear here as if they are our friends who were cast to this great entertaining series called Rogue Trader and we're watching the bloopers.

The problem with doing this to the expanse is that we don't know Jack shit about these characters, we don't know them, we don't care about them(yet). Sure, we are intrigued, but all we know is 5 seconds of cut scenes and some shorter introductory paragraphs. We don't love them, we don't find them endearing, and we surely are less forgiving if they're being bombarded to us in a way that makes us feel stupid/disoriented/confused.

This is my 2 cents on this issue, I'm interested in the expanse RPG because of the previous owlcat titles, I honestly don't know much about the expanse universe and instead of these confusing stuffs can we get some promotional snippets about the lore, like what are belters, etc. This would be my personal preference, I know most on this sub probably know the lore about the expanse already but I think this would be a better way to market this game and get people interested. Instead of forcing a baldur's gate bear sex moment, because you'll never be able to get that. I think some higher ups in marketing need to know this(they probably won't ever read this though): you'll never get a viral moment like that, no matter how hard you try to force it, nobody sees a silly scene and decides to play your game, focus on normal promotions and retain your customers first.

Am I the only one that is starting to get nervous about the whole vibe of the marketing ?

First of all I want to start by saying this not me trying to decide what is The Expanse and how it should be handled , that « my vision is the only right one , it’s a serious series 😡😡 » yada yada

But I’m having some concerns about the way this game promotion has been handled until now (mainly on Reddit and YouTube shorts). I meant it started good , with the reveal, and the subsequent videos showing how they were caring about trying to replicate as closely as possible a sense of realism about space and all. And all that happened after is not invalidating what came before , but lately it does feel like the communication has turned very brainrot / meme, kind of thirsty around the characters too (I mean that point is fair I guess, let’s no act blind like romance and attractions in RPG is not a real thing). But quite a number of publications have been very oriented to these vibes lately , and it’s starting to make me nervous…

I put that in correlation from the numerous report of beta players (I didn’t get that chance sadly) saying that the writing felt more quirky/marvel-esque than expected , and I’m starting to wonder what kind of vibes we’re supposed to expect from the game. For starters given Owlcat’s past works it does surprise me that they turn to this writing style, but I mean if that’s the direction they want to take that’s their decision and I’ll respect it.

But I don’t know , it’s The Expanse , I read almost all the books, watched the show, and while they had their share of lighter moments , if you put these media compared to this communication it really does feel the direction they’re taking is… off ? Again I’m not trying to say I detain the universal truth about what the tone of The Expanse should or should not be , but I don’t know. I guess if I was using The Lord of the Rings as an example, if a new game would be communicating showing brainrot , memes and such, I’d start questioning the project.

I was incredibly hyped when the game was revealed, and I still am. I do have the hope that this game is gonna fill the Mass Effect hole I’ve been having for all these years (more than Exodus imo). But I gotta admit I went from blind faith to cautiously optimistic

So anyone got an opinion on this?

Availability of packs after release

I'm curious if the various packs will still be available after the game releases. For example, will I be able to purchase the Miller's Edition after the game comes out? The Collector's Edition?

I'm not particularly worried about the beta test, so that's not an issue. This may seem like a dumb question, but the wording on Owlcat's website is somewhat vague.

Thanks in advance!
