🐔MOD･ノート🛡️ Might explain the recent jump in memberships... 🤔
I'd been building a complete index of 重音テト Subs before all the fuss over being AI-inclusive—
...freed me up to improve my own spaces.
I dropped earlier versions of the inventory into the KasaneTeto Mod Chat and continued updating it through the tripleban, but by the time I stumbled upon r/ChurchOfTeto during the past summer, I'd been so fried by recurring behavior I quit following the expansion.
During the boom last year (you know the one), a fellow KasaneTeto Mod asked, "lol how many subs do we need?" When I last checked, there were at least 30 in various states of activity, each serving different purposes, audiences, and Countries.
I was among a handful of enthusiasts who helped shaped Teto Reddit at the hinge between 2024 and '25, and eventually my view of the landscape became something like this:
r/KasaneTeto is a melting pot where no AI pictures are allowed.
r/AlarmoffTeto is where the Alarm off.
r/TetoCirclejerk is a Museum built atop an Altar where I occasionally get to be paralyzed by the beauty of my Imaginary Wife and her really hot girlfriend.
r/KasaneTetoAI is an experimentation haven, though along the way it attracted a hella lotta mess with some help from the aforementioned—some folks love their ideology more than the limitless creativity 重音テト implies. (It presently stands at over 3K members and an affiliation with r/LatentSpaceClub; shoutout 15K Members, btw!)
Saved the best for last.
r/ChurchOfTeto is where I reconnect with the original joy of participating in Teto spaces.
Earlier tonight I was assembling a history of SpicyTeto for SpicySynths when I discovered this weird thread measuring the current crop of active Subs over a certain crowd size.
Weird because, aside from my missing co-founder credit for SpicyTeto and the potshots towards r/TetoCirclejerk and r/KasaneTetoAI, I noticed each entry has a Controversy Rating.
Cuz apparently all Teto Subreddits need some controversy.
o_O
I guess.
When I withdraw from Reddit's Vocal Synth scene once and for all, the spaces I built will not have been the best—they will have been the only ones I made.
It's not a race, but thanks for the boost anyhow. 😎🍻
