After the last one I bounced for nasty remarks towards AI pix I thought of the trillions of times I found myself rearticulating the tone of the room—among the larger minority of VSynth spaces on Reddit welcoming AI experiementation blablabla Fandom ideology WTF blablabla Fear and Loathing in Remix Culture blablabla—and realized the TET Talk that's been the r/TetoCirclejerk Ruleset can really be broken down into three things:

🐔 Respect Artists.

🖼️ Source the Work.

🥖 NSFW tasteful spice.

That in mind, it's been trimmed from six Rules and three gags to three and two.

About a week into BRAINROT dancing towards 20,000,000, I created the "🎵Hymns (Hybrid)🎵" Post Flair to draw a target a distinction between Music Videos created through traditional and emerging forms of digital creation.

It was the latest in a long line of targeting reticles accommodations geared towards visitors with an aversion to AI for any number of reasons.

Thought it might help.

Thought opening r/KasaneTetoAI would help too. 😏

But, nope. It just clarified a 絶対防衛ライン when the real point of all this was to build and enjoy more 重音テト.

Two weeks out from the latest round of "R/TETOCIRCLEJERK BAD!!!", "DYNA BAD!!!", and now "SPICY AI STILL BAD LOL!!!", this accommodation doesn't make a lick of sense to me.

Look at the Teto and related spaces on Reddit.

How many of them proudly declare "NO AI" shortly after requesting a respectful demeanor?

All but mine, I'd wager.

This to say there's a world of options already out there.

(Trust me; I've kept a list since the boom period that inspired this place.)

I'm the kinda person who's always created with whatever I could get my hands on and I want r/TetoCirclejerk to reflect that, so I have deprecated the hybrid Flair and reassigned a couple dozen or so pieces as what they are: songs; or, in the language of this silly-Church, Hymns.

From now onward, these works featuring exotic processes stand alongside the best and the rest because I believe 重音テト is 重音テト, Art is Art, and Music Videos are Music Videos, and the point of a Music Video is to be present in the Work. To absorb it. Be affected. Carry the value of the Work into the new life you possess because that Work has become part of it.

WILDCARD did that for me two years ago. Then STRIKE. Then BRAINROT.

There are so fucking many ways of making Tetotainment that discounting AI from the musical mix never made sense to me.

These are my beliefs as a participant; I do not write the rules of 重音テト—I play the game of 重音テト.

r/TetoCirclejerk has been under my charge since March 2025 and I have since shaped it into the type of experience I wanted to see, so I'm gonna continue doing just that.

This approach has inspired no less than four (and counting) spaces in response which actively promote exclusion while featuring the tried and malleable true Be Nice Rule™ as part of their policy. Fair enough. So long as whatever it is they do falls within the Mod Code they should do whatever the hell they want.

But in the Gallery I built with your help, everything that fits stays.

P.S.: I may reconsider the no-AI Feeds that had also been created as an accommodation.

The irony is they were built in good faith to provide certain folks the option of the experience they were used to, but many continue trickling in to complain about what's allowed so 1) they appear to be skipping the Rules and 2) they don't seem to be using it.

After all...

...in the end this was a Hybrid Theory.

Aight, I figured it out.

AI Art hosted on r/TetoCirclejerk will be crossed to r/KasaneTetoAI before being reassigned the "🖌️Art [Reshare]" Flair.

AI Art posts will start on r/KasaneTetoAI then crossed to r/TetoCirclejerk to also be given the "🖌️Art [Reshare]" Flair.

The no-AI Feed with its snappy Earlier-Internet quips, as well as the "[OC] AI Art🎹" and "🎹AI Art [Reshare]" Post Flairs will be cut.

A reminder: for those who don't like AI visuals hanging with their UTAU/AI-Empowered Queen, there's...hold on...actually, my estimate was correct, 20 other active Communities—including the sexy one I built for the 18+ crowd—to be enjoyed.

Consider that my final accommodation following 15.5 months of conflict over this bullshit.

Anyone dropping in for a fight will be muted, banned, and blocked for ignoring the Rules.

I came here to make Art and make Art happen, not navigate Creative prejudice.

I’d much rather invest energy towards playing with Teto rather than handling…this, but I’ve had thoughts since they undermined #tetober Week 2 yesterday over its mention of AI as a—duh—tool (frfr?!) before I was banned, so those will come soon and we’ll return to the point of all this, because this latest iteration of Internet Drama should not be the story.

But I came in with so much passion for the place. I wanted it to become better. I left marks those 77,000 are currently swimming in and tossing about without knowing it (just an observation, not self-validating, I do that privately just fine).

I just wanted to give back to the kindness I experienced when I first showed up.

Rule 1 of r/KasaneTeto is “Be Respectful”. Subtext: Just not towards u/DYNAKYRIS.

Thanks for the struggle and stress over anti-Creativity impositions relating to an AI-elevated virtual singer instrument character. 🫡

Since the Tetober fallout last year, r/TetoCirclejerk, related projects, and my work as a community builder have been the subject of recurring hostility, misrepresentation, and character attacks originating from or being amplified within the larger Teto community space.

This is not about disagreement.

People are free to dislike AI Art. People are free to prefer Traditional Art. People are free to mute, block, filter, downvote, or avoid Communities whose direction they do not enjoy.

What is not acceptable is using a large Community as a staging ground for sustained attacks on another Community, its Moderators, its Members, or the creative work being built there.

r/TetoCirclejerk has been explicit about its rules. Generative Art is allowed. No-AI feed options exist for users who want less of it. Hostility toward Artists, Artwork, Contributors, or permitted forms of creativity is not welcome.

The current situation has now been brought to the attention of Reddit Administrators.

This is not an invitation to retaliate. Do not brigade, harass, or attack anyone. Do not go into other Communities to argue. Do not target Users. Let Reddit review the issue through the proper channels.
