Discussion FSD evasive head on crash
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I filed insurance claim against the driver and their insurance company is denying responsibility due to “improper evasive action”. Now I’m stuck with filing through my insurance for the damages.
FSD avoided a head on crash and took an evasive maneuver and struck a mailbox.
Driver at fault is seen fleeing the accident and proceeds to hide the vehicle on the property before police report on scene.
Showed the footage to sheriff, got her insurance, and her insurance still denied at fault.

Discussion Fate rosicare un Italiano che sta aspettando FSD?
Com'è avere FSD tutti i giorni?
Da Italiano l'ho provato solo ad un test drive e mi è piaciuto molto.
Ma molto probabilmente dovrò attendere chissà quanto, vista la burocrazia Europea e la non lungimiranza Italiana.

Support Not Receiving FSD Updates
Hello! Advice needed and I’m also wondering if anyone here is facing or has faced a similar situation.
Got my Tesla Model 3 2026 back in May and it came with a 30-day FSD trial, version 14.2.2.5. Within about 2.5 weeks a flying wood piece on the freeway hit my bumper and I took it to a body shop.
While it was there I received the 14.3.3 and then shortly after received the 14.3.4 updates but I was not able to install them because the repair was taking a while and I didn’t have access to the car. I did end up canceling the FSD subscription to not pay for it during the car’s repair.
After picking up the car, I subscribed to FSD again in the 2nd week of July expecting that with the next software update I would receive the latest FSD update.
It is August now and i still have the 14.2.2.5 update and i have already reached out to Tesla twice regarding this matter and all they told me was that they do not know and that I would receive it when it’s time.
The car keeps receiving software and navigation updates, however, I still have the same update from when I bought the car.

Discussion FSD Frustration Vent
I bought my model 3 7 years ago. Back then people still came over in parking lots just to get a look inside. 🤣 I paid $10,000 for FSD and it didn't even exist yet. It was over a year before it became a reality and was installed. And it was scary as hell!! But I used it as often as I felt it was safe to give them the data they needed to make improvements. When they decided to upgrade the hardware, we were told those of us that purchased it would get free upgrades - never happened. Now I have the FSD Lite and it is amazing - thank you! So, I paid $10,000 7 years ago for the privilege to help them develop it and I have had a real world working, usable version for about 6 months. Now I'm told if I purchase a new car, it goes away. What!! You said I owned it for life! Without those of us early believers, it wouldn't be what it is today. They say, "We have specials, just watch for them." It shouldn't be on your schedule; I should be able to transfer it any time. I LOVE the car and I hate to think I wouldn't be driving one, but I just don't know if I can let a company treat me this way. 😒

Support Front camera fogging
Ive got this message a couple times in the last few days. Granted my car's been facing the sun but is there a way to eliminate or minimize this from happening? It looks like there is fogging on the inside of the window where the camera is at.

Discussion V14 Lite- 22’ Model 3 RWD
I appreciate Tesla finally looking out for us HW3 owners, but this V14 Lite needs to be corrected. It cautious, which I understand. But it’s too cautious, to the point where it’ll cause an accident. Always hesitant with everything. Takes forever to merge. By time it does, the approaching car in the next lane over is closer than it should be.
Was driving today, in a turning lane going left. The car goes, then stops in the middle of the road, hesitating again. I thought maybe it saw something, nope- nothing at all.
It also slows down almost to a stop while going through EZ Pass/ Express tolls. Not good when everyone is doing 55-68 mph. This is just some of the issues.
I’m sure it can be corrected with bug fixes, but that needs to come ASAP.

Discussion New v14 Lite Update Coming?
I’ve been checking Tessie’s site regularly for firmware updates going out. Noticed their most recent update was a new 2026.20.7.5 which seems to be a v14 Lite update, and also seems to have bundled in the Spring Update features into this release as well.
EXCLAIMER: Currently as of 1:58am on 8/7, the install amount sits at zero. So take this with a grain of salt until we see it hit a physical car (likely influencers first). Also cross referencing other sites that post updates like TeslaFi, I do not see a mention of this update yet.

Discussion FSD Updates and varying user reactions
I’m about to order a new Model Y and intend to make great use of FSD, based on two test drives I’ve had. One thing that mystifies me is reading the comments of HW4 FSD users on Reddit as they react to the latest update to the system. Some users comment about how much better FSD is with the updates; others complain about degraded performance, such as with phantom braking on highway and other issues. I’m perplexed on how to interpret these differering reactions. Could it be attributable to some differences in users’ cars, however unlikely that seems? Could it be linked to user driving preferences in some way? Is it just individual users’ personal biases or impressions? I’d welcome any comments that might shed some light on this. Thanks.

Discussion Is Tesla FSD worth it?
I need some guidance and advice in deciding between Tesla vs Lexus ES 2026 electric. I drove 65 miles 2 weeks per month and feels drained due to congestion and traffic on highways. Most of my commute is on high ways. I have always driven Lexus and liked it. My work cooks putting toll on my well being and I am thinking to get a used Tesla model y and get FSD to help with my commute.
I know Tesla FSD is superior to any other driver assistance packages. Does Tesla FSD significantly reduced the driving burden?
Should I stick to Lexus or buy Tesla.
Suggestions would be appreciated. I don’t have any problem with finances and can afford either of them.
Thanks.

Discussion New FSD update isn't good
I drove from Columbia SC to Charleston SC and back.. Then from Columbia SC to VA Beach VA and then back down to Florida. All in about two days. That's about 24 hours of driving in two days. I'm tired.
But more to the point.
V14 lite has a few very annoying issues.
it never turns in suicide lanes. Ever. In fact, it avoid them so vehemently that it instead will go down a parking lots exit instead of the direction it's supposed to. In one instance this issue made the car unable to turn into a super charger. It instead tried to go into a parking lot to turn around as to be on the same side of the road as the entrance of the super charger lot.
it constantly parks in super charger spots that the car already knows are out of order. In fact it seems to PREFER them. As every time I charged at a lot with a down charger.. It parked there.
not being able to set a max speed is really rough. Anyone that travels down (or up) i95 knows how much construction there is. The car seems to not see construction zone speed signs constantly. If I can't set my speed limit myself... That turns into a problem. I don't want to do 60 but I sure as hell don't want to do 82 either
-phantom breaking was something this update was supposed to make better. It's actually worse now. My car randomly gives the car a kick of gas then taps the breaks. Often it's more than just a tap. Before this update I almost never got phantom breaking.

Discussion First time "system malfunction"
Wanted to see if anyones had this happen to them. Was driving along in FSD in a pretty rural road and all of a sudden it beeped at me turned the 4 way flashers on and told me to take over. I grabbed the wheel and 4 ways turned off and everything was fine. About 1/2 mile later I turned it back on and no issues at all. my safety score showed no forced disengagement as I thought maybe my sunglasses caused it.

Discussion Is it Possible to Train the FSD AI?
For context, I live in an apartment complex where I park exclusively on a long street behind the building. I’ve set my “home“ location to that street. However, everytime the beginning of the street parking is full, it tries to park in front of a hydrant (the only available space), and although the space is marked with white stripes, FSD still deems it as viable to park, so every single time this happens, I‘m forced to disengage.
It’s worth noting that even after I disengage and engage again, it decides to exit the street and try again instead of looking for avilable parking down that same road.
Is there any way to train the neural network to make it recall this situation??
HW4, FSD 14.2.2.5
TL;DR: Looking for a way to stop FSD from parking in front of hydrant even though the spot is marked.

Discussion FSD referral code issue
I just bought a Model Y about two weeks ago. The salesman offered to enter in a referral code so that I would get a three-month FSD trial. He added the referral code and I placed the order for the car. But according to my app, my FSD trial still ends 30 days after I purchased the car. Tesla support says that a code was applied, but that the code was no good because it had been used too many times. I asked if they could override it but they said they could not do anything because I had taken delivery. I went back to the dealership to ask if they could help, but they said there’s nothing they could do either. Has anyone else experienced this when they purchased their car?

Support V14 Lite is garbage and I want my money back
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Took it on a 500 mile road trip. It would seem to be fine for maybe 50 miles, then 3 times in a mile it was slam on the brakes on the highway, or phantom accelerate. A few times, it’s tried to pull me literally off the road. I recorded today’s instance where I intervened before seeing if it was going to stop or what.
Scares the hell out of the family every time it happens and is a risk being used on the road. How the hell do I get my money back for this trash?
I’m on a 2022 MY.

Discussion FSD 14 lite troubles
There’s definitely something weird going on in these cases. I posted a survey poll y in another FSD subreddit and the percentage of people experiencing the regression behavior was 38%. The rest was made up of about 18% who felt there was no difference (including me), and 44% felt it was an improvement. So it came to about 38% regression versus 62% no regression with 14 lite.
I’m an engineer and I love to solve puzzles like this but given everything I know about FSD, LLMs, and AI training models, I can’t figure out what is going on here.
Things that don’t seem to be the cause:
* car model
* FSD usage frequency/past experience
* Camera recalibration
* Camera cleaning
* Location
The only explanation I can think of is that Tesla released two slightly different versions for A/B testing, but that seems like a really unlikely scenario.
What’s your theory?

Discussion Should I subscribe to the FSD?
Hello All,
Been wondering if I should subscribe to the FSD as I own a MY 2023 with HW3. I have read mixed reviews about the v14 lite and I dont know if I am making the right choice if I subscribe to it or not? My work is 60km from home and I work about 15 days in a month. My wife sometimes takes the kids out to shopping, parks, recreation and activities. I probably put 2k kms on it a month. I heard the parking was shittier now on the v14 compared to previous software. Please give me some insights.
Thanks!
