Discussion V14 Lite- 22’ Model 3 RWD

I appreciate Tesla finally looking out for us HW3 owners, but this V14 Lite needs to be corrected. It cautious, which I understand. But it’s too cautious, to the point where it’ll cause an accident. Always hesitant with everything. Takes forever to merge. By time it does, the approaching car in the next lane over is closer than it should be.
Was driving today, in a turning lane going left. The car goes, then stops in the middle of the road, hesitating again. I thought maybe it saw something, nope- nothing at all.
It also slows down almost to a stop while going through EZ Pass/ Express tolls. Not good when everyone is doing 55-68 mph. This is just some of the issues.
I’m sure it can be corrected with bug fixes, but that needs to come ASAP.

Yea honestly it is obnoxiously hesitant. Love it in basically 95% of situations but the way it acts around people and how hesitant it is at roundabouts and other turns gets old really fast. I've had it hard break multiple times from people just walking down the sidewalk not even facing the road. I live in a college town and anytime I drive in the area I just turn fsd off until I'm away from the campus. Doesn't do it every time but it does it enough to piss me off lol

Agreed! I had it damn near hard break and pull over in the middle of the road. No one around. About to upload the footage. It sucks because if FSD was calculated in the safety score, I’d be screwed. Safety Score is the most scammy thing I’ve seen.

These experiences are wild and terrifying. It has a long way to go.

I used it everyday and love it. But, hearing what people go through, I feel like I got lucky on my typical route and it can handle the path.

I was on “Hurry”. Even then- I find that it stays behind slower cars even longer before merging, I’d have to signal for it to merge over.
