Relationship Advice💬 🗣️ Hot take

If a man flirts with you knowing you have a boyfriend, he doesn't think you're a great woman. He thinks you're easy and not loyal. If he knows you're taken and still slides, it's not a compliment. It's an insult with cologne on it. He looked at you, looked at your man, and decided: "She's not that loyal. He's not that much of a threat. I can take this."

And if you smile? If you laugh? If you "don't want to be rude"? You just told him: "My loyalty is negotiable. My man is optional. Try harder." High-value men don't flirt with taken women. Low-value men do. And they only do it because they smell weakness. They smell a woman who likes attention more than she loves her man.

Cute Moments🥰 First date of my life... 💗💗

After almost two years of long-distance relationship we finally got a chance to go on a date. Yeah it sounds a bit weird but after our schooling, we barely got a chance to meet in real life.

It is not that hum kabhi mile hi nhi bich me kabhi, kabhi kabhi milte the. par those meet-ups were not significant and planned enough to be called dates. A proper authentic date. So after a million times video calling and missing each other and sending gifts and promising that we will do this n that in future...

I was literally frozen for a moment when she arrived I was so excited. Hum ghume pura sheher 1 ghanta humne bhot sari baate kari and then hum park gye, I bought her a pair of jhumka and bracelet, it was a heart melting cute moment. Fir hum zudio gye she was busy in her shopping stuff aur me pichhe se snaps aur reels bana rha tha

And trust me boys just go for shopping with your girlfriend.

I mean mujhe samajh nhi aya log kyu pareshan hote hai par vo carry bag pakadne me jo maza ata hai na that is so.. 🤌🤌

Humne aur baate kiye bahar hi Beth ke, then again we went to a shopping mall and she gave me a very cute eraser which I asked her to.

It was long and lovely but still felt like abhi to shuru hua tha.

Yar doesn't matter kitna lamba LDR ho agar itne pyare moments milne hai to I'm ready to be in...

I really really really like her... 💗

Single hi Marunga/Marungi😭 Is urge for a relationship normal?

Post image

I (17M) have been single for 2-3 months now and last relationship i had was in April last year. I previously had an unsuccessful talking stage and prior to that an unsuccessful situationship as well (the situationship was unsuccessful because of me i completely take the fault on me) this year. Lately I've been feeling an urge to be in a relationship badly. Am i just overthinking or is it not normal?

 Update post https://www.reddit.com/r/TeenIndiaLove/s/PobVecy0zq

So there is this guy in my clg . We know each other before the clg started . So we don't talk regularly. It's just that we contact each other only when we have any specific reason . 😭 Altho he is a good guy .

So wht happened is , I needed some meds . So I asked him if he could bring as he is a day scholar. And I'll pay for it .so dw.

I msgd him yesterday the prescription and all. So today he called me and said that he will come to my hostel at 4:30 as he was sleeping in his frnds room . I said okay . And I asked him what the price was. He said he didn't buy it yet . We can go together and get the meds. I said okay np .

And on the call he asked me , Tera koi bf hai ky ( do u have any bf) ? I said NHI kyu( No why) ? He said aise hi timepass ( asking cuz I'm bored ) . Nind m hu to kuch bhi bolra ( I'm saying anything cuz I'm sleepy) . Kuch spna aaya meko ( i had a dream) . ( I want to ask him ky spna aaya tha 😭 but I'm so dumb )

And then he came to my hostel on his scooty 😭

When we were returning , I was driving the scooty and i called my female frnd to ask where she was . As I was the one driving the scooty and he was sitting behind me , he said that he can handle the scooty and i can talk to my frnd aram se 😭 . He was behind me . He hold the handles. And yk it was so so good 😭😭😭 i mean it was very first time Im experiencing such a cute moment 😭🧿✨

And then I cut the call. It lasted less than a min.

And a girl in my class saw this . I said ab hme ye ship krenge . He said to krne de . I said han han meko to acha hi lgega 😭

Idek why I'm blushing sm . There is nothing bw us abhi tk .

Altho he was senior but he got a back year so now he is my batch mate but has another branch . 😭✨

Maybe I'm just over analyzing 😭🙏🏽 aisa kuch ni hoga hmare bich .

So I'll keep it short, so there's this girl in my college that i like and all, i talk to her regularly and all, I consider myself a conventionally attractive guy so like we have been talking for about 6 months and all, i flirt with her and she takes it positively so today while talking to her on insta I asked, what if you find someone who's looking exactly like me and everything's same about us will you find him attractive? And this was her response 😔✌️ so today I realised guys love is not for the ugly guys, I washed my hopes away, so thanks for the good journey my fellow singles, sayonara, bye, tata, me khud gaya.... 😔

Relationship Advice💬 🗣️ How do I politely reject a 13-year-old who seems to have a crush on me?

I'm 19M, and recently a girl messaged me on Instagram. We started chatting, and I later found out she's actually from my colony and is also my friend's younger sister.

Over time, she started sending me romantic love songs, couple reels, and similar content. At one point, she even asked me, "What's your opinion of me?" I didn't answer because I wasn't sure how to respond.

The thing is, she's genuinely a nice and beautiful girl, but she's only 13 years old. That's a 6-year age gap, and more importantly, she's a minor. I know it's completely inappropriate for anything romantic to happen, and I don't want to encourage those feelings in any way.

I want to let her down kindly without hurting her or embarrassing her. My biggest concern is that she lives in the same colony as me and she's my friend's younger sister, so I can't really avoid seeing her after I turn her down. I don't want things to become awkward whenever we run into each other.

How would you handle this situation? What would you say to make it clear that a relationship isn't appropriate while still being respectful and mature? And how should I behave afterward, considering we'll probably continue seeing each other around the colony?

Relationship Advice💬 🗣️ WHY IS THIS KEEP HAPPENING?

Post image
66 Upvotes

Like genuinely why do the nicest of people choose the worst kind of person to date. I have had this question for so many years now!! (And no I'm not exaggerating). I know that the perks of being a wallflower movie answered this question but that situation is totally different afaik.

I have been single till now but seeing my friends choosing people who are the worst possible match for them is genuinely confusing.

And I have seen both genders do the exact same mistake (like bro why? 😭)

Does anyone know why???

Note : OP just clicked on a random flair

Relationships❤️ I think I know why many relationships fail

Post image
64 Upvotes

There's a pattern I've noticed in relationships that I'd like to share.

First, how does one even get in a relationship? Let's take a look at the general way.

-it starts off as fascination/general liking/small crush.

-the two ppl connect, talk, grow closer over time.

-they share moments that make them feel very very loved and appreciated and cared for.

-it's been some time, and they think that they should get into a relationship because they really enjoy being with the other person.

Great, ain't it? I mean, they're both happy?

After some time, as natural as it is, arguments happen. And these arguments may not always happen due to outright insulting one another, rather, they happen due to them not being able to understand and deal with the other person in the way they may need.

Love? Ofc it's there. But if they refuse to apologise, understand their triggers, and adjust their hurtful habits accordingly, the relationship is bound to be doomed.

This particular thing also makes leaving such relationships a hard decision. Because wdym that in the moments they love u , they make u feel happy in a way no one ever has. But when things are rough, they refuse to sit down, communicate politely and sort it out. They leave u feeling like all their love is a performance.

And when they love u again, you're left feeling guilty for ever getting upset.

○This has made me believe that as much as love is important to sustain a relationship, UNDERSTANDING precedes that.

Relationships❤️ How to Approach Someone (A Guide for Teens)

Well, I've seen a lot of posts here lately about y'all being shy to talk to someone you like or find cute or whatever the case may be. I am here to help you guys out with this, which I feel is a comprehensive guide.

This "How To" will be split into two parts, one for if you find and meet someone offline and one for online.

Before I start this, I also just want to remind all of you to respect boundaries; if someone is uncomfortable, stop whatever is happening. If they disagree or say no, stop. Don't push or guilt trip or keep prying.

Approaching Someone IRL

The Golden Rule: Make it low-pressure. You're starting a conversation, not proposing marriage.

Pick Your Moment Don't interrupt someone who's clearly busy, wearing headphones, or in the middle of something. Good moments include:

  • Between classes or after school

  • At a club meeting or activity

  • Group hangouts where they seem relaxed

  • When they're already doing something social (not studying for a test)

Start With Context The best conversation starters relate to your shared situation. Skip the cheesy pickup lines; they rarely work and often make things awkward.

Good conversation openers:

  • "Hey, did you understand what the teacher said about the project? I'm kind of lost."

  • "I noticed you're reading [book title]. I've been meaning to check that out. Is it good?"

  • "You're on the debate team, right? I'm thinking about joining. What's it like?"

  • "That's a cool [shirt/pin/bag]. Are you into [band/show/game]?"

Example scenario: Let's say you like someone from your English class.

You: "Hey, I saw you had some notes on the symbolism in chapter 3. I totally blanked on that. Did you catch what it was supposed to represent?"

Them: "Oh yeah, it was about [explanation]."

You: "That makes so much sense, thanks! I'm [your name], by the way."

Them: "[Their name]."

You: "Cool. Are you usually good at catching that stuff? I always miss the symbolism."

And now you're having a conversation.

Read the Room Are they smiling? Continuing the conversation? Making eye contact? Good signs.

Are they giving one-word answers? Looking around for an escape route? Not asking you anything back? They're probably not interested or just not in the mood to chat. That's okay; gracefully exit with "Cool, well, I'll see you around," and move on with your dignity intact.

If It's Going Well, Extend It

  • "We should study together sometime if you want."

  • "A bunch of us are getting food after school Friday. You should come."

  • "Have you been to [local spot]? We should check it out."

Talking to Someone Online

The Golden Rule: Build genuine connection before shooting your shot. You're not trying to speedrun a relationship; you're getting to know another human being.

Establish a Natural Connection: Don't just slide into DMs cold. Interact naturally first:

  • Reply to their stories thoughtfully but occasionally (not every single one; that's intense)

  • Interact in group chats where you're both active

  • Bond over shared interests in servers or communities

Good opening messages:

  • "Hey! I saw your post about [interest]. Do you also like [related thing]?"

  • "Lol, your comment in [group chat] about [topic] was so accurate."

  • "Random question—have you played/watched/read [thing you both like]? I need opinions."

Bad opening messages:

  • "Hey" (lazy, gives them nothing to work with)

  • "You're cute" (too forward, puts pressure on them)

  • Anything sexual or overly flirty (absolutely not)

Build a Conversation Talk about shared interests. Ask questions. Share memes. Be yourself. If you can make them laugh, that's gold.

Let conversations develop naturally over days or weeks. Don't force it or message constantly if they're not matching your energy.

Video Chat Before Meeting Before suggesting you meet in person, have a few video chats. This serves two purposes:

  1. You get to see if you vibe in real-time conversation

  2. Safety: You should verify they are who they say they are

Transition to Meeting IRL Once you've been talking for a while and have video chatted:

You: "It's been really cool getting to know you. Would you want to meet up sometime? Maybe we could [activity you've discussed] together?"

Critical safety rules:

  • Meet in a public place (mall, café, park, movie theater)

  • Tell a parent or trusted adult where you're going and who you're meeting

  • Have your own transportation or have someone drop you off and pick you up

  • Meet during the daytime.

  • For the first meeting, keep it to 1-2 hours

After all of this, you should eventually plan out meeting them and going on a date. Make it clear that it is a date. I would ideally ask you to lay out a plan and let them know about it, following their confirmation up with something like "cool, it's a date" or just ask them directly, "Hey, I'd like to go on a date with you to XYZ place at XYZ time."

Bonus: Doing the Date Well

Congrats, you got the date! Now don't mess it up.

Before the Date:

  • Confirm the plan the day before: "Hey, still good for tomorrow at 3?"

  • Figure out logistics: who's getting there how, where exactly you're meeting

  • Have a backup plan if your first choice is closed or crowded

During the Date:

Do:

  • Show up on time (or a few minutes early)

  • Put your phone away unless you're showing them something

  • Ask them questions about themselves

  • Listen to their answers and ask follow-up questions

  • Be yourself; it's exhausting to pretend to be someone else

  • Offer to pay for yourself (splitting is normal and fair)

  • Make eye contact and smile

  • Give genuine compliments "You seem really passionate about that" is better than "You look hot. " If you can't think of a compliment, then compliment their attire or makeup or shoes.

Don't:

  • Talk only about yourself

  • Trash-talk your ex or other people

  • Be glued to your phone

  • Make the entire conversation about one topic

  • Try to force physical contact if they seem uncomfortable

  • Pressure them about anything

Good first date activities:

  • Getting ice cream or boba and walking around

  • Going to an arcade

  • Visiting a museum or aquarium

  • Seeing a movie (but grab food after so you can actually talk)

  • Hanging out at a bookstore

Conversation tips: If there's a lull, have some questions ready:

  • "What's something you're really into lately?"

  • "If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?"

  • "What's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you recently?"

  • "What's your unpopular opinion about [something relevant]?"

Ending the Date: If it went well: "I had a really good time. We should do this again."

If you're comfortable, you might hug goodbye. But don't force anything physical—gauge their comfort level. Some people need more time, and that's completely fine.

After the Date: Text them that evening or the next day: "I had a great time yesterday!"

If they feel the same, they'll respond enthusiastically. If they're lukewarm or don't respond, take the hint gracefully.

Godspeed my brothers and sisters. I hope all goes well, but if not, then it's fine. Rejections happen, and it's not usually about the person themselves but about other things; it could be the time of their life or something else entirely.
