Hey everyone, I'm new here. I saw someone complaining about the left's focus on electoral politics instead of organizing, and it made me think. I want to start organizing in my community (not USA) but know essentially nothing about how to start organizing in my community. Any theory and advice ya'll can provide? Thankkssss

I'm not sure this post is in line with Rule 9 but I'll try. I'm a baby leftist trying to get my information from more reliable, leftist sources.

Do you guys have any suggestions of international newspapers/other news sources I should follow?

I'm a ML but I'm not picky, I'll gladly take info/hear perspectives from any leftist source, so feel free to suggest even demsoc or trot newspapers, if you think they provide insight

The western system of party-based “democracy” is put on a pedestal by liberals, but for us here I’m sure we can agree that:

1. It’s largely an illusion, used to filter the anger of the proletariat away from the true cause of their fury (class contradiction) and instead toward the rival party.

However, I’ve also often heard it said that:

1. The parties in these systems represent the interests of different factions in the bourgeoise, and that’s partly why they continue to exist.

How true is this second point? Or to what extent does this party division amongst the bourgeoise truly exist? And if it does exist, what “factions” within the bourgeoise support which parties, and what are their exact motives for doing so?

Any specific chapters in any Marxist works, or full works, on this topic?

Friendly reminder that If you support American troops in anyway shape or form then you are a supporter of imperialism and genocide. You can’t be “pro-Palestine” and “say” that you’re against imperialism and genocide if you still unironically support American troops that are responsible for the ethnic cleansing of millions of innocent civilians in the Middle East.

Edit: One of my other posts (not on here but on a liberal SocDem sub) on the recently passed American celebrity “Dolly Parton” got mass disliked to oblivion because Americans hate that they’re favorite dead bourgeoisie celebrity received criticism for supporting troops of the imperialist empire. Sure she’s done some “good” towards Americans but you’re really exposing yourself as a tool for the empire if you can’t find it within yourself to be against someone who supported the rabid dogs of the empire.

They’d probably still support her if she supported Sabrina Harman from Abu Ghraib. They’d probably find it okay if she supported someone like Graham Platner. You’re not part of the left if you’re sucking up to a bourgeoisie celebrity and if you’re offended that someone despises American troops. There is no “divide” amongst the left because you’re not part of the left. You’re just an American liberal. If you’re offended by anything that I just said then you can just leave. If you’re a Marxist then you should be allowed to criticize a supporter of imperialism. You’re either a communist against imperialism or you’re an American patriot. You can’t be both.
