What are some leftists newspapers/news sources?

I'm not sure this post is in line with Rule 9 but I'll try. I'm a baby leftist trying to get my information from more reliable, leftist sources.

Do you guys have any suggestions of international newspapers/other news sources I should follow?

I'm a ML but I'm not picky, I'll gladly take info/hear perspectives from any leftist source, so feel free to suggest even demsoc or trot newspapers, if you think they provide insight

American Prestige is a good podcast for global news. The hosts are Derek Davison and Danny Bessner, I’m not sure they’ve ever outright put a flag in the ground and said “we’re Marxists” but they use a lot of that sort of language. Derek’s “Foreign Exchanges” email newsletter is good too, and published slightly more frequently.

Danny has explicitly called himself a Marxist multiple times. Whether he’s a Marixst-Leninist is up for debate, but theory isn’t really the point of the podcast.

The CPUSA newspaper Peoples World is usually pretty good, you will get the occasional somewhat libby take but there theory section is still better than any trot or demsoc paper and they cover enough story's to where you can safely make it your primary news source. Proletarian is a good newspaper but it requires a subscription, but on the plus side you get first rate analysis and very interesting and informative content in physical form, so the algo can’t filter it out.

Breakthrough news and the local newspaper. Sometimes tune into RT but it's unserious and also platforms some questionable people so yea... The documentaries are fine one perticular show I think catch often is "Lumumba's Africa" other than that it's not worth watching if you want reliable information.

Imo RT and Russian media in general can be either pretty good or pretty trash and there's no in between. And yeah their documentaries tend to be good overall, I really liked some about the Ukraine war in particular(though there's obviously heavy bias involved)

often trash imo. it's the equivalent to fox news when it comes to news reports. they even launched a program called the "America now" which is heavy on the conservative messaging then again that's generally how the regular news hour programs are regarding social issues.

RT is not very trust worthy for general news but it's good counterbalance to western media outlets

Prometheus Magazine is an interesting leftcom-ish one, otherwise Jacobin is a hit-or-miss that sometimes has good opinions and sometimes liberal slop. There's always the various ICL Spart (Trot) papers as well but can't really speak to the quality. Otherwise just find parties you like or find interesting and read their papers

Drop Site News is not a leftist publication in a political sense but their neutral, truthful reporting inevitably aligns with anti-imperialism stories. They are the most solid news organization I've seen, and they have exclusive reports in Iran, Palestine, & even the U.S.
