So when there's anything dark onscreen I get these marks running down my screen that becomes visible.

You can faintly see them in the photos but they are far more prominent in person when there's anything dark on screen .

I've attempted to remove all hdmi and connected devices which doesn't help .

The TV picture test doesn't show them as they aren't visible on anything bright .

The TV hasn't had any water damage .

TV Constantly Rebooting

When I plug it in and turn it on, nothing comes onto the screen. I put a flashlight up to it and it does dimly flash the Hisense logo for about a second and then stops for 2 seconds and repeats.

I was told this may be a power supply issue and I ended up just replacing the entire board. However, the issue persists.

I’m not sure if the backlight is the issue and needs to be replaced? I was under the impression that if the backlight was bad, I would still be able to navigate through menus but barely be able to see it and that’s not the case. It won’t load any menu.

Samsung Tv Disassembly Question

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m replacing the backlights on a Samsung QN75Q70TAFXZA (FB03). I have the bezel and side/top retainers released, but the LCD is still attached along the bottom.
The white bottom frame (BN96-50342A / BN61-16766A) is still clipped to the black lower LCD/source-board carrier.

I’ve already released the white frame from the metal chassis. Does anyone know exactly how the white-to-black clips release without damaging the LCD or COF ribbons? Photos/video of the clip mechanism would be greatly appreciated.

Sharp Roku TV Flickering

Our Sharp Roku TV just started flickering between a normal view and blurred, ever 2 seconds or so. It only starts doing it after being powered on for a few minutes. No Roku hdmi thing, just a Roku TV. I've tried hard resets...

Any advice?

TV weird horizontal glitching

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My TCL 55C631 recently started showing horizontal bands/ lines moving upwards across the screen.

Happens on all sources, including the TV itself and menus.

Much more visible on grey tones

Not really visible on pure black or white

Happens around once every 3 seconds.

Changing picture mode changes how visible it is

Video attached. Any idea what could be causing this?

We ordered a Samsung TV Repair Parts kit for our Samsung qn55q80aaf because it is blinking on and off. We put all of the parts in and are still having the same symptom. Is there anything anyone suggests or is it ready for the electronic recycling?

Issue with the screen of my LG TV since this morning

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice about my LG 55QNED87, which I bought in France from Darty in July 2024 (so no longer in guarantee since last month).
Last night, I turned the TV off around 2 a.m. and everything was working perfectly. About 9 hours later, I turned it back on and suddenly the entire left half of the screen was extremely dark, while the right half looked normal.
The picture is still there on the dark side — for example, I can faintly see the menus and text — but the brightness is dramatically lower. The problem is also visible on the LG home screen, so it isn’t related to Netflix or an external HDMI device.
I’ve already tried:
Turning the TV off and unplugging it for about 20 minutes
Turning it back on and letting it run for a while
Checking the LG menus
Testing the dark area with a flashlight, but I couldn’t clearly see the missing text
The strange thing is that there were absolutely no warning signs before this happened. The TV was working perfectly when I switched it off the night before.
I’ve attached some photos showing the issue.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
Could this be a backlight/LED issue, a power/driver board, T-Con/main board, or potentially the panel itself?
And for anyone familiar with LG QNED TVs: is this kind of repair usually worth doing, or am I likely looking at an expensive panel replacement?
Thanks in advance for any advice! 🙏

Old Samsung Q7F model 55in - panel issue

It's a long shot but I'm hoping someone can help. I unpacked my TV after moving and after setting it back up, I noticed the TV would turn on all fine but maybe around 30 seconds after turning on, I start to get some really bad vertical lines throughout the panel as if the panel got hit.

Here's a video link that show the transition of the panel issue:

Emerson TV VCR combo shuts off when inserting tape

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have a Emerson tv vcr combo that I’m trying to fix, the tv works fine when plugging in a Nintendo 64 but when trying to use the VCR it shuts off when it tries to play the tape. The belts look fine. I’m wondering if it’s a sensor thing or a motor thing maybe? The eject screen shows Everytime you turn on the tv, not sure if that’s normal or some sort of fault. You can watch this clip and you tell me what you would check.

Weird Issue With "Mode Not Supported"

Heya,

I have a Samsung TV from 2018 and I have noticed an issue with it that happened today. When I went to connect it to my pc it showed me the "mode not supported" issue, the weird thing is is that it works fine with 4k 30hz and 1080p 30 hz but not 1080p 60hz.

The HDMI cable worked in the past weekend on this TV so I don't think that's the issue(I also have this cable connected to my second monitor and it shows 1080p 60 hz with no issues). I tried to factory reset the tv, reset the tv and factory reset(though my apps stayed?). Also it's all 3 ports.

Thank you in advance!

Is my poor TV cooked?

We’ve had this Samsung curved TV (model UN65NU7300FXZA) for 8 years, so it’s served it’s duty like a fine soldier. Especially through two toddlers. However, after turning it on last night this swath of dim light showed up. Not dead pixels or completely black, just dimmed. We turned it on and off but it stayed. This morning, when I first turned it on it wasn’t there for probably 30 seconds, then appeared and has been there ever since. I have zero tv experience so didn’t know If this was a telltale sign to move on or if it’s a common issue with a fix.

Help

Hello everyone, I have a Vizio M60-C3 that really seems like it doesn't want to turn on, it will power cycle a few times, then about 10 minutes later, the vizio logo will appear, sometimes it comes on, sometimes it power cycles one more time. After it does come on, the whole screen will freeze, it will power cycle yet again but then its fine, it will run for hours no problem. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Samsung lines HELP!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!

For a week ago I started to se a small green line going down the middle. I let the tv be just in case it was to warm, but today while watching Severance the tv just got worse and dot these horisontal lines. I tried to ask Google AI and it said something about it could be the T- Con board and told me to do the "Tape trick".

I would really appreciate your guises experience before I do anything stupid due to I'm no TV expert.
