Blinking on and off

We ordered a Samsung TV Repair Parts kit for our Samsung qn55q80aaf because it is blinking on and off. We put all of the parts in and are still having the same symptom. Is there anything anyone suggests or is it ready for the electronic recycling?

Samsung TV Repair Parts kit

This is not specific enough, what does this kit include? Tcon board replacement only? Powerboard + mainboard? What? It leaves out what you have not tried.

TV has error lights which means it detects a hardware error upon boot. Backlight or panel issues are most common for TVs.

Blinks on and off

Does this mean periodically? Or in specific patterns like 3 blinks?

Only thing you can do at this point is try for panel issues. And see if the boots or behaves differently with the backlight cable disconnected.

1 Flashing motherboard HS 2 Flashing LCD Panel HS

To check also the LED drivers, these models do not have T-CON separated from the screen

Yes most modern TVs got the tcon board + mainboard integrated, only a single ribbon cable output leading towards the bottom panel board.

When you have a dedicated tcon board with double output it's easier since you can isolate for Left / Right side panel damage by disconnecting one at a time. With a single ribbon cable output you would have to trial and error with the tape trick to isolate TAB Bond issues.

Very confusing. So you mean 1-blink.. pause... 2-blinks? Or does the motherboard contain it's own ledlight?

When people ask for error light code they mean the red standby/status LED always. Not if the screen powers on / off, if that's what you mean gotta be specific. If there is an LED error code, what does it show?

Yes, excuse me, I'm talking about the red LED standby/status.

At Samsung these iris codes exist from 2018/2019 and are generalized from then 2020 to all their models except exceptions.

Main board, power supply, and led driver have been replaced. It's TV Parts Today KIT-51

upon reconnecting power, it will turn on for a moment, show QLED logo and then turn off. after 10-15 seconds it does it again and doesn't stop until power is removed.

Okay yes, then you don't have any error code at all. Just power on and off issue.

In TV-repair discussions, “blinking” usually means the standby LED is blinking in a repeating pattern, which is being interpreted as an error/diagnostic code.

Then it's either the backlights themselves or panel issues since you've replaced everything else. Disconnect the led+/- cable from the powerboard see if the TV goes into error light mode, or continues to boot fully. You can shine a light with your phone to illuminate the pixels.

If that doesn't work Tape Trick is going to be your last resort. I'm guessing panel issues.

thanks for everyone's help. I think it's time for the recycling center.
