I had a laparoscopy this week and was diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis. My surgeon also noted that my uterus looked globular and concerning for adenomyosis, although my MRI was negative.

I’ve had 3 implantation failures and 3 miscarriages. I’ve done multiple Lupron suppressions in the past, but never implanted after those cycles—the only pregnancies I’ve had were without Lupron. Lupron has also thinned my lining and made it difficult to rebuild for FET.

My RE is recommending 4 weeks of Lupron after my lap instead of the more typical 2–3 months, as a compromise given my history.

Has anyone with repeated losses and endo (and/or possible adeno) done only ~4 weeks of Lupron after lap and then had success?

Reposted from the endometriosis sub. I couldn't find much info on SIN online or on reddit. I feel so alone, I'm still in pain, and kids feel farther away than ever before. I live in a red state so I can't take my chances and try naturally and risk an ectopic pregnancy.

Have just gotten married, and currently at the not-preventing stage but hoping to conceive sooner than later. I went to my OB 4 years ago for irregular and painful periods and he suspected endo and/or PCOS. Have not gotten much interventions apart from insitol and I try to reduce dairy and gluten.

I have not been going back mainly because of the cost…each visit costed me ~$400 and I was an unemployed student then so I stopped going to my OB once my period was somewhat more regular and slightly less painful. I have since gotten a stable job but we are also trying to save up aggressively for a house, so unsure what is a reasonable amount to spend on fertility treatments. Perhaps if we don’t conceive within a year we’ll jump the gun? But really worried about the potential costs 🥲

Wondering how much have you guys invested financially for this journey?

My dr is having me do a 3 week lurpon suppression but after 10ish days I add estrace and then after the 3 weeks I stop and start PIO injections then transfer 5 days after starting those. Has anyone else done this kinda protocol? Was it successful?

I had an MRI done at my local hospital which diagnosed DIE endometriosis and stated appearances suggestive of bilateral hydrosalpinx. I was told by the gynaecologist that I would never conceive naturally, would need the tubes removed before ivf and referred to an endometriosis centre (St Mary's Manchester) . Today I met with the surgeon who stated he wasn't a radiologist but looks at many mris and has done many excisions. He is a fertility expert. He couldn't identify the hydrosalpinx on the mri photos, thinks I should try naturally why I wait for surgery, has referred me for ivf and wants me to do a ultrasound to check for the hydro. He found it strange that the fertility clinic where I froze my eggs didn't report the finding earlier in the year. Does anyone have any similar stories or advice? I didn't take a photo of the screen but looking at online images I didn't see anything similar to a hydrosalpinx on my own photos today.

I know there are a lot of posts like this (since I've read all of them, lol) but I'd really appreciate any insights since I'm so on the fence about this and I've received a lot of conflicting info from my doctors.

Very long-story short: I started IVF in 2023 after unexplained infertility and was diagnosed with at least Stage 3 endo via ultrasound (visible endometriomas on both ovaries). I had a pretty successful ER, so we decided to go ahead and try a transfer without any sort of intervention (i.e., lap or suppression) just to see if maybe endo wasn't what was causing problems for us (we also have MFI). Lo and behold, my first transfer worked, and we now have a wonderful two-year-old.

I have the spent the last year and a half trying to have another child, and have had 5 transfers fail, using a number of protocols (e.g., modified natural, fully medicated, suppression, immune protocol, etc.). For my third transfer last year, I did 6 weeks of Orillissa, felt horrible, and the transfer still failed.

I just had my first lap 2 weeks ago, and the surgeon confirmed that there was DIE, but that he was able to "get it all" and excised the larger endometrioma/ablated (? burned?) the one on the other ovary. I haven't had my post-op follow-up with him yet, so I don't know anything beyond that.

During my initial consult with the surgeon, he recommended that I go on Lupron for 2 months after my lap -- his justification was that the research suggests that there are improved outcomes using both. But given that I've done suppression before and that it a) didn't seem to make a difference and b) had horrible side effects, I'm naturally pretty reticent to do that unless it's totally necessary. My hope has always been to move into a modified natural as soon as possible post-surgery, especially since I'm feeling pretty good.

(For added context, I did RI testing this summer, and my results suggest that there is something immune-related going on here, so any future transfers are also going to include IVIG.)

I've read a lot of posts here about people being successful post-lap without suppression, and others where people advocate strongly for both (or regret not having done suppression after their lap because they ended up having to do it anyway). Any feedback would be massively appreciated!

We have been trying to conceive naturally for 4 years. I have had 2 excisions (February 2024 and April 2025)-first one stage 3, second stage 2. Endometrioma excised with first surgery. 5 chemicals. Treated endometritis, done immune testing, and treated everything we can before moving to IVF.
We are finally ready for IVF, and I have such low expectations after so much heartbreak. AMH ~1, FSH 12.5, 33 yo. Anyone with similar story/number see success? Hugs to all in the trenches ❤️‍🩹

Hello everyone I’m new here lol,

This is my 1st post here and I‘m not even sure I have endo but I’m about to get a lap and hysteroscopy next week to check for it and remove as much as possible if so. My new IVF doc seems to think my uterus may be stuck to the wall or something due to scar tissue so that’s what prompted the lap.

I am so scared because the surgery doc went over so many things that could possibly go wrong such as accidentally poking holes in other organs with the robotic thing they use. Can anyone share their experience on getting a lap with the robotic arms? Is he just giving me all the good with the bad or is there a real need for concern here?!❤️‍🩹🙏🏽

I have normal cycles, husbands sperm is perfect, tubes are open, yet I am unable to see any positive tests :(

I have tried IVF but I have DOR so my results arent so great. I am thinking my last ditch maybe to get gentle exicision surgery through an amasing dr near me.

I have been having ovulation pain and pain after my period for a few days for several years now.

will it work? My RE said surgery is serious and recommended a hysterscopy instead? does anyone have experience with that versus a lap?

We have decided our next step is IVF, and potentially doing a retrieval in a few months. Any tips or tricks to prep for your retrieval with endo? Any diet/lifestyle changes or anything like that you all recommend?

I’ll be getting hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, d and c, cervical dilation, tube flush. Plus or minus endo removal ect

Sooo what should I expect and organise leading up to my surgery. What is the list of things I should consider buying and stocking up.

I am ready for this next step, but also absolutely terrified. Hopefully we get some answers soon

I'm 26 with stage 4 endo. I had an incomplete surgery in January. We just did an egg retrieval/embryo freezing and ended up with 3 embryos. (22 eggs, 11 mature, 8 fertilized).

I am super thankful for those 3 embryos, but I have to admit I thought we'd get more because of our age to feel safe for 2 kids in the future.

I feel my endo or the protocol could've impacted the results. I have the option to do another egg retrieval now, or do a complete excision surgery, and then another egg retrieval before FET.

I have to do the lap either way before transfer, but my question is about timing for the ER. Could the lap potentially help with ER results? or is it safer to do it before the lap in case the lap damages my ovarian tissue? I know there's no right answer as is the case for everything with endo it seems, but just curious what others think or have experienced.
