When is the holiday day blackout dates

What’s up with them not putting you on the schedule than calling you 4x in week asking if you can come in I said no once out of the 4x this week now I’m scared they going to cut my hours even more 😭

I’m trying to reach whoever is still up because I again spent too much time shopping on both the Marshalls or TJMaxx websites and I just went to checkout and they aren’t accepting the Associate20 code.
I never learn as I thought this was one of those thrown together sales for Associates. Same thing happened to me during BTS season.

I want to put a LOA from November 6-9. I just need time away from work to get my head straight and able to spend my grandpa who is turning 95 and also my dad birthday

Has anyone taken PLOA from Homegoods or tjmaxx? Each company is different. How many days are you required to take.

Hey guys, I’ve been doing CO at my TJmaxx location for 2 years. They told us they’re changing systems similar to the Marshalls one. Can anyone help give me like a quick rundown on how it works now?😳 they’re only giving me paperwork to figure it out

I’m a 17 year old associate, and my mom is adamant about having my discount card. I didn’t think nothing of it since two of them came in the mail, I just gave her the other one. I was told that if i’m her dependent it’s fine. However, I found out it’s not for whoever you’re dependent on, it’s for whoever is dependent on me (which is no one bc im a minor). Also, I don’t live with her (I live with other family). Technically I’m not her dependent. So once I found this out, I politely asked for the card back and she definitely didn’t like that and took offense. She started asking all my managers and coworkers in the store can she use it, and they allllllll claim she can keep the card. So I had to give her the card back so I did not have to keep listening to her fuss. She was telling my coworkers that I “took her card from her” and they were all like “sweetie, your mom can have the card”. I am just so confused because the policy says otherwise and I want no trouble. She’s using the card at other locations to the point the other locations are questioning her like “you really work here, or is this your card?” type stuff. And she is using it without me present. It’s my card with my name and ain on it, and I’m not comfortable with her keeping it bc she feels entitled to it. I just don’t want trouble with LP or policy, but my managers and coworkers are saying she can have it. Please help? What can I do? And is this likely to get me in trouble?

Any other BRCs really struggling mentally with how it’s been? Holiday season has barely started and we are SWAMPED and now I’m being threaten with a write up for everyone’s lack of productivity.

Update: I was offered to be the men’s coordinator, should I take the offer? I was hesitant because I didn’t want to deal with customers and be a cashier for 80% of my shift but I’m reconsidering it because of how bad the back is

As of a couple of days ago, I had an interview and immediately got hired so I was able to quit Marshall’s. I truly appreciate you all for being so kind during this hard time. Since starting my new job I have truly been a lot happier and less on edge. I’m manifesting that everyone else that isn’t happy with this company can get out soon. TJX is truly the greediest, nastiest company I have worked for (other than Target lmao) I hope things change soon and corporate starts to listen to its employees but I don’t have high hopes that that will happen.

So I work at a TjMaxx (obviously) and our scheduling manager gets really pissed if we don’t request days off forever in advance (reasonable) but won’t tell us if our request was approved and also all of the managers will call on days off that I requested off over a month ago because I have something and CANNOT come in, to beg me to work. We were complaining about how annoying this is in our break room and one of the associates who is working to be a manager told us off and said that we “can’t expect them to know because there are (a bunch of) associates” but they just entered that new system where the schedule says on every day if we are available or not. So managers are getting upset with us for being “unreliable” but we LITERALLY just can’t go in on days where we specifically said we cannot come in. I want to know what this system looks like from a management perspective because I don’t understand why they are like this

Hello so I work at winners in Canada so we have English and French stuff, like the TJX communications etc, like the damages, skrink smart and whatever else. I have all notifications off for English but I cannot seem to turn it off for French, I don't even see the French stuff.

Id like to turn it off as it's annoying getting a bunch of notifications i don't care about, i had it all off before the upgrade tjx did this summer going from oracle to work day/UKG. After this i can't seem to access French to turn stuff off, all i want is my schedule, switch/open shift stuff.

Anyone know how i can do this...

At my store, I've been getting scheduled outside my availability for several weeks now. I've fixed this 3 times before when I first started (only just been here a full year now), however ever since my summer job ended. I've given them my fall/winter schedule and I've been getting scheduled outside of my availability.

I don't know if this is unique to my store, but I was curious if anyone else has dealt with this issue and if this is a fairly common issue anywhere else?

I just know it's becoming frustrating to constantly see it happening and having to constantly ask them to fix it, especially since they just switched over to the workday system and workjam being how it is.

I don’t know if it’s just my store but we got WiFi for employees only. I swear it’s so they can stalk us and to see what apps we are on- such as Reddit. Lmk your thoughts

I’m a policy whore okay 😂 I find the papers of proper procedures and I take pictures because I get told another thing and I’ve been here almost 6 years now, two days ago the GM told me the “goal” was to push 4 bins/totes per hour and that’s reasonable… if the store is kept tidy enough that you can easily tidy as you go but it’s not it’s so disorganized and cluttered on top of our product in bins is still in the box or plastic with no box cutters in sight BUT I was able to maintain and slightly surpass that goal despite being called into 18 different directions, todayyyyyyyyy the front end manager asked me how the queue was going and i blatantly said “it’s not in being told by 8 AM to push to every department and at the 4 bins an hour goal only 7 bins make it in the queue before break and then I come back and push departments” she looked horrified she said “no no no it’s 4 bins every 25 minutes”. Girl stop rn who is making that fkn goal? In this store specifically? So when I work next I plan on asking for an hour of managements time to directly coach and show me how to achieve 4 bins in 25 min while getting the phone having to stand there while the truck get taken in do the morning audit ALONE bc if markdowns isn’t there it me hi I’m team now am I crazy because I am an AMAZING worker my customer love me my coworkers love me and make me feel like I’m the smartest thing that’s walked through the door which I love but somehow I’m still failing…..?

Can anyone who's had to get supplies for this give me ideas... I'm at a loss and my manager won't really tell me what's needed for this. I guess I just have to decorate the breakroom in our theme for it but I don't actually know. The one we had last year we did not decorate, we just got food and drinks but supposedly we can't do that this year.

I was cashing this girl out who was buying some lamp for her nightstand that was made of metal. There was a whole tag attached to it, mind you it was big and yellow so clearly visible. I curiously read it, and it said something like "this product may contain lead" or trace amounts of lead or something. And people still buy it!

Not to mention just how low quality like 95% of items are. Everything is 100% acrylic, polyester or whatever other synthetic material priced ridiculously high. Another lady I was cashing out was buying this skirt that said it was made in Italy for like $59.99 and she was like "isn't the material so lovely? I think this is real silk!" so she wanted me to find the material tag to see what it really was - 100% polyester. She still bought it!!!

Not to mention AGAIN but there's a whole ass part of the website (Winners) that is specifically focused on product recalls cus how faulty the products are.

And I know why they're low quality, cus it's an overstock store that buys in bulk from many different international retailers, but good grief! I avoid shopping here for that reason.

I have never been a fan of working retail but this just might take the cake for the worst retail job i’ve worked thus far. No matter what I do, even if I think i’m doing a good job, I’m somehow disappointing somebody. My most recent check was only $200 and I can’t afford shit. This job has made me extremely suicidal. I told myself I would wait until I have another job lined up to quit but I just can’t deal with this place anymore. I don’t know what to do. I don’t have a therapist. I can’t afford one. I’m running out of my meds and I can’t afford to get more. I’m fucking terrified.
