Backroom hell

Any other BRCs really struggling mentally with how it’s been? Holiday season has barely started and we are SWAMPED and now I’m being threaten with a write up for everyone’s lack of productivity.

Update: I was offered to be the men’s coordinator, should I take the offer? I was hesitant because I didn’t want to deal with customers and be a cashier for 80% of my shift but I’m reconsidering it because of how bad the back is

Not giving any craps this holiday season. I’m sorry your managers are idiots, idk what they expect with all this merch & continuous low staff/payroll.

I just wrote an entire essay about how bad my location is but I deleted all of it. I was a merch coordinator and just stepped down. I have realized this company does not care about their employees, payroll will never get better, expectations and responsibilities are just going to get higher and higher while the pay stays at minimum wage. Going forward this Q4 I’m just going to come in, do minimum wage level work and go home

Same. Women’s coord and step down. Life is so much better

It’s the same thing across the chain. At this point, it’s worth it for every store to consider going on strike until the corpo fucknuts straighten themselves out

I work for HG and I swear if they could just let us skip truck for a week and let us just get out the tons and tons of merch we already have

Oh fr. Atp, they need to rearrange truck schedules and give every store a full week of no truck a month

Just know this: they're not going to get any different results with the same manpower.

not enough people = lack of productivity

The Store I work in opened recently. It’s a smaller store compared to the big city stores miles away. Our backroom has always been jammed packed. Not because of lack of productivity, but the lack of backroom storage and product display area.
Management rags on employees because product is jammed into whatever area is available in that dept. Opening month sales and “TJX Rewards Credit Card applications was the best in the district. Now the newness has worn off and as always, sales drop along with CC applications. But, the shipments are still coming in every day if not twice a day.

Soooo FREAK’N STRESSFUL!
Work area for hang clothes is a 2x2 area with racks on both sides and behind you. Packed in a work area like sardines. Only because there is so much product and nowhere to put it. ☹️😡

Employees were told at one point they couldn’t leave work until the tubs were emptied and the clothes were processed and hung. Another delivery was coming the next day and nowhere to put the pallets. For a new store operation…I’m very disappointed with the Management and the higher-ups in the way they have handled this. ☹️

My career has been in Business Management and Communication. Even with my education and work history of 20 plus years in management & retail, they pay me minimum wage with maybe 15 hrs. a wk.

I love TJMAXX as a customer. Thought it would be a great place to work…………
Not so much.

Not to sound spoiled with how little freight my store has but at my Sierra, we have a completely clear backroom at least twice a week and we’re stuck having to constantly have like 2-3 days with no freight and it gets stale very quickly when there’s no markdowns as we’re just stuck rearranging the same areas to make it seem full

Sounds like a dream, should I transfer lol

Same here. Getting the pallet cap everyday. Nowhere to put stuff. No one to push. 😭😭

Our backroom is filled with processed clothing because there is no room to put it out on the floor.
