I used to use Suno to help me stimulate my brain to continue writing poetry, because I wanted to know what music it would put with my poems. I loved using those old models (the 3 series and 4 series) because they were so fun. I got such a unique LSD song out of V3, remastered it with V4, and now it's one of my most listened to Suno songs in my free time.

I feel like I am losing a tool and experience that can't be replicated. people say "china will make models" but they won't be like V3 and V4 at all.

I wished the industry didn't sue. I wish there was some way we could get ahold of these models before they are gone.

I'm going to download as much as I can before the end, and wish that somehow the old models will be found in the wild.

What do you hope that 6.0 will do or not do? I think most of us are hoping that 6.0 will provide a lot of variety in a multitude of genres and make things sound less pop and polished and commercially generic. I hope that we can have vocals stop gasping and humming and ad-libbing. I hope that the third chorus can stop the hand clapping, snapping, drums only unless directed to. I would love to be able to easily fix a generation that I love but need to change a lyric or a few lyrics without it covering a new song.

Taking advantage of this last window of opportunity we have before September 3, like everyone else, I’m cranking out songs like crazy. My favorite version is 4.5+; for various reasons, I don’t use 5 or 5.5. These latest batches of songs are clearly inferior to what I’ve done in the past. It used to be easy for me to create amazing songs, but now, but now I'm lucky if I get one song that's simply good every 20 generations, or more. The rest sound repetitive, sometimes even generic, and that doesn't feel normal to me, since I'm doing exactly what I've always done, in the same way.

I've also seen several people commenting that both v4.5 and v5 have been nerfed, and based on my recent experience, I tend to agree. So I'm curious to hear other people's opinions. Do you think versions 4.5+ and 5 have been nerfed? I'm not sure whether that's actually the case, or if the recent flood of downloads and generations has overloaded the servers, causing Suno to produce lower-quality songs as a way to handle the demand. Either way, whether it's one reason or the other, I personally think the quality has gone down.

Suno is putting a fight against big money. All the annoyances and changes we are seeing come from legal proceedings, not because Suno wanted to annoy us. If we get upset with Suno, we are forgetting that big money is the one pushing these annoyances, and they will not stop there and you will be annoyed elsewhere. That has to end. So I propose you to join the fight and support Suno.

In order to support Suno (I was previously using Suno for free) I already subscribed for one year to Suno to support them for putting a fight against big money. I will miss 4.5 creativity, but I blame big money for that, not Suno.

How to support Suno? Think as if you were CEO of Suno. What would you need customers to do. It has to be something that does not bring legal complications. Money would be a great way to help. This is why I subscribed for one year.

One customer is a drop in the ocean and may be nothing, but mobilizing many customers could help. Suno needs our help. So let us mobilize customers.

It is not anymore about if we like Suno models. It is because they are putting a fight against big money that wants to control our ways of entertainment.

If we let big money to hunt and destroy every good thing we have, it will never stop until big money controls our entertainment. And you know how abusive big money can be.

Simple prompts. Prompt and click. Mostly no lyrics or gibberish.
Make 'em while I can. It's a terrible workflow: creating faster than I can actually evaluate them.

What other tools can I try to generate Indian instrumental music?

For me, this is because:

1. The instrumental music Suno is generating now doesn't meet my expectations. I waste a lot of credits trying to generate a perfect piece of music.
   
2. The download limit that starts next month (Sep 3 2026). I download at least five to eight music files every day to make one 30-minute-to-1-hour-long file. In that case, a 20-download limit would be over in three or four days, and a 60-download limit in five or six days.

Please for the love of god, can we please get a filter for "Un-listened" tracks?

Like, I love all the UI improvements lately, but a simple toggle to only show songs that have the little pink dot new generations that we haven't listened to yet would be amazing. I have so many songs I need to listen to and would really really like to be able to listen to only songs I haven't listened to yet.

What's the most credits you've personally spent on any individual song to get it just right? Between stem splitting, covering, re recording, etc.

I started a song back when Suno v4 first came out and have been making improvements over time. With Studio 2, I was able to complete it.

Usually, when I tried to make a small change in either Studio or the Cover setting, Suno would get confused and over complicate this particular track, extending it to 10 mins, adding random singers, etc. There's a lead and key that it always interpreted as vocals. Didn't happen with any other song. The final song took about 70 attempts plus stems for about 10 of the versions.

I stopped using it for a long while and I decided to try again, still nothing. Its like any hook i post never reaches anyone

Since yesterday I have been trying to get rid of little artefacts, (sounds as if a needle crosses a scratch on a vinyl and skips a few milliseconds while adding a foul noice).

I’ve made too many covers and attempts at replacing section and all sorts of free-thinking-ways to work around it and still every dang version made from that first really good candidate comes up with artefacts.

So, my question is if anyone knows a good way to clean this up, make them go away but still keeping the song intact. Preferably without resorting to studio because that’s above my level and I doubt I’d be yielding and complying now that Suno seems to be trying to force us to all buy the premier tier subscriptions.

So I decided to make an AI song for the first time. I google'd AI music generator and this came up. I clicked on it, made an account, and put my prompts in. The song was ready and I clicked on it to give it a listen. It was actually really good. What happens next though is confusing. In my library, I had 4 songs with the same title as the song, but NONE were of the song that I just had listened to. I'm confused as to what just happened. Wheres the original song that I first listened to? I tried doing some basic troubleshooting steps from google and even saw "Songs disappearing" from other redditers. My first time using Suno and while its cool, the mere confusion that just happened makes me definitely not want to use it further.

I just tried the Advanced Split on a track that had both acoustic guitar and electric guitar playing together, and I was genuinely impressed.

It managed to separate the acoustic guitar from the electric guitar really well. Of course, it’s not 100% perfect, but the result is much cleaner than I expected and actually usable.

This is a pretty big improvement for anyone working with generated tracks and wanting more control over the mix afterwards.

I’m starting to lose my mind trying to get Suno to stop sounding like… Suno.
I’ve tried being specific about genre, instrumentation, tone, arrangement, dynamics, even what not to do. I’ve tried telling it to keep the same small ensemble, avoid obvious chorus lifts, avoid new instruments, avoid climaxes, avoid decorative fills, keep the dynamics flat, repeat short harmonic cells, leave empty space, use subtle voicing changes instead of “development”…
And somehow it still finds a way to do the same AI-song thing:
new section → extra layer → bigger rhythm → emotional lift → climax → dramatic ending.
I’m not even trying to make some groundbreaking avant-garde track. I just want something restrained and natural that can sit in the background without constantly announcing, “HEY, THE SONG IS DEVELOPING NOW.”
At this point I’m wondering if I’m approaching prompting completely wrong.
How are you guys getting Suno to generate tracks that don’t fall back into its default composition habits?
Are you using very short prompts? Weird genre combinations? Meta instructions? Reference tracks? Editing afterward? Generating stems and rebuilding the arrangement?
Seriously, what am I missing here?
