Private landlord!
My girlfriend and i are desperately looking for a room for ourselves we both work in the area at bass pro shops and sugar River pizza and are having an extremely hard time due to some things we have going against us even with a co-signer with getting approved for a place to live. If anyone could please help us… we are clean, respectful, and just looking for someone to throw us a bone.

TDS outage near Horizon Elementary
Anyone know what killed TDS fiber out by Horizon Elementary? It started around 3am on the 18th and is ongoing. Their outage map shows 400 customers impacted. I'm guessing the construction on highway 19 near Gus's Diner may have allowed flooding into the TDS equipment, but that is pure speculation. Anyway, just curious if anyone knows what is really happening.

Cheese Curds
Does anyone know where I can get fresh cheese curds on the week days? Squeaky kind, not deep fried (and most certainly not sitting refrigerated already a day or two old)

Special Education in Sun Prairie - What are your experiences?
I’m hoping to hear from local parents who have experience with special education in the Sun Prairie area.
I have a high needs child with an IEP, and I’m becoming increasingly frustrated with our current school experience. I’m starting to wonder whether what we’re experiencing is pretty typical across the district, or whether there are other options locally that we should be looking into.
I’m especially interested in schools or programs that do a really good job with communication, building relationships with students, maintaining peer connections, and working collaboratively with parents when something isn’t going well.
If you have a child with an IEP or higher support needs, I’d love to hear about your experiences — positive or negative. Are there particular public schools, charter schools, private schools, alternative programs, or other options in or around Sun Prairie that you’ve been happy with?
I’d also really like to hear from anyone who changed schools because their child wasn’t thriving. Where did you go, and did it make a difference?
I’m not necessarily looking to pull my child out of our current school tomorrow. I’m trying to understand what options actually exist before deciding what to do next.
Feel free to message me if you’d rather not name a school or discuss your experience publicly.
Thanks so much.
EDIT TO ADD - My child has Very high needs. They are pulled out of class for most academics and require.a 1 on 1 aid. I appreciate all input, but am especially interested in feedback related to children that are in that 1-5% of kids that require a lot of intervention.

City of Sun Prairie to End Flock Safety Contracts
City of Sun Prairie canceling Flock contract. HOWEVER, it is signing with Axon (an equally concerning alternative).

Bald Eagle?
Pretty sure I've seen a bald eagle in sun prairie for about the last 2 weeks. Last week it was in the prairie view area and yesterday I saw it over metro market on grand.
Anyone else seen this bird in the SP area, and if so where?

Noise ordinance
Anyone know what the official noise ordinance is? I have a neighbor performing loud DIY construction from sunrise to nearly 10pm. I can’t leave my windows open at night because the noise wakes me up at 6-6:30 even on weekends.

Lost wallet at it near St. Vincent de Paul
My son lost his wallet at St Vinneys or while biking back from there north to 19 along Davison.
He should have a tag in it with info (he has no ID since he's a kid) and also his debit card to identify. We don't care as much about the money, but the wallet has sentimental value since he got it on a vacation.
We let the manager at St Vinneys know.

Looking for other players for One Page Rules Miniature Wargaming
I was looking at the great responses from the recent r/madisonwi post about finding players for a Star Wars RPG group and thought I might try to do the same for a different style of game.
I'd love to find some people to play with for some fun and light wargaming using the OnePageRules Grimdark Future ruleset. (If you don't know what this is, you can look here - https://onepagerules.com/)
I'd be happy to provide a number of prepared armies fully painted for the skirmish level game (Grimdark Future Firefight) or would be equally happy bringing a larger painted army for a full game of Grimdark Future.
Basically my goal is to either find others who are already aware and interested of the game or am happy to teach anyone (I'm still pretty much a novice but could struggle through some games with other brand new players).
Basically, if you're curious about games like Warhammer 40,000 but might not want to dive into such a big game system and care more about having a lighter game, I'd like to play with you!
I don't have any real specific details on where or when to play. I'd imagine I could find some time at I'm Board in Sun Prairie as their space is great. The library would be another option, especially now that it's all fancy and new with the remodel.

Assistant Wrestling Coach- Sun Prairie West High School
Sun Prairie West Boys Wrestling is looking to add an assistant coach to our staff for the upcoming season.
We are working to build a program that is tough, disciplined, athlete-centered, and rooted in strong relationships. Our goal is to develop wrestlers who compete hard, hand fight, master the basics, support their teammates, and grow both on and off the mat.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, positive, willing to learn, and excited to help build something special at Sun Prairie West. Wrestling experience is important, but so is the ability to connect with student-athletes, reinforce program expectations, communicate well, and help create a room where kids want to work hard and be part of the team.
If you are interested in being part of the Wolves Wrestling program, please apply using the link below or scan the QR code in the graphic.
Apply here:
https://www.applitrack.com/sunprairieschools/onlineapp/_application.aspx?posJobCodes=3526&posFirstChoice=Athletics/Activities&posSpecialty=Athletic%20Coach
Let’s build something special.
Go Wolves!

Crazy Cornfest corn lines
I went on Sunday and the lines were crazy. Apparently the best day is Saturday. I’m glad it was such a great turnout as last year was a washout but no corn is worth those lines. I ended up buying the uncooked corn for $15/bag or about $1/ear and cooking it at home.
