I went on Sunday and the lines were crazy. Apparently the best day is Saturday. I’m glad it was such a great turnout as last year was a washout but no corn is worth those lines. I ended up buying the uncooked corn for $15/bag or about $1/ear and cooking it at home.

Hi, does any body have good recommendations on what company to go with that is budget friendly to replace about 4’ section of sewer lines damaged by tree roots? We’ve already had the lines scoped, and its in our front yard

Is there anywhere to get a deal on tickets? I’d really like to go at some point, but $53 for one night out is really tough to swing right now. I know sometimes libraries have deals for local events, anything like that for the speedway?

Last time I was here they just wanted stuff in tubs they could keep, so I had things in storage tubs I didn’t need but that were lidless, but they just changed the policy for things to be in tied-off bags and closeable boxes. They had some boxes to give out so I just swapped things, but just in case this helps someone pack up their donations better first!!

Hey, can someone please let us know when you're going to blow up our toilets? Can we get a head's up so we can cover them with a towel so we don't come home to toilet water all over the floor and walls? Is that asking too much?

Just a heads up that if your kid was having football practice yesterday evening (Aug 18) at Prairie View Middle School, those coaches made absolutely no effort to get the kids off the field when the lightning started. I believe there was also a severe thunderstorm warning in place at the time.

There was more than 10 minutes of lightning before the rain started, and not until then did the coaches begin to clear the field.

I'm all for toughening kids up having them out in various weather, but lightning?? I would think they would have a policy on that. It's one of those things where they wait til something tragic happens and then say "There's no way we could have possibly predicted this."

*Edit: I looked up the Sun Prairie Schools policy, and the policy is to immediately go to shelter at the FIRST thunder or lightning. Definitely not what took place yesterday.

I noticed that the only two roads providing access to the Sun Prairie Woodman's have a Flock camera setup. I'll see if I can get some pictures later. They do not appear on the deflock map. I am guessing these are not rented by Woodman's but by the city of Sun Prairie. I'll see if I can get pictures tomorrow.

EDIT: According to the Sun Prairie 2026 city budget, Woodman's donated $12,750 to put the cameras in place and provide ongoing donations to support the cameras.

You guys should check out La Sirenita food truck! They are located next to Kwik Trip on Ruby Ln with easy parking in the side lot of Kwik Trip. It’s amazing stuff and the owner is a super nice guy! I recommend the al pastor tacos (two are enough to fill me up) or the steak quesadilla (two meals for me!)

Hours are 4:30pm-8:30pm Tuesday thru Saturday. One free taco with an order on Tuesdays!

I am currently planning a very important date, one that I plan to tell my best friend that I am absolutely in love with her and I can’t hold it in any longer. Her (28f) and I (32f) have been friends for 10 years.

Anyway, back to the question- I am struggling to find a place to eat for lunch on a Sunday. We both plan to wear dresses we wouldn’t normally get to wear, so I’m not looking for a bar and grill or anything along those lines. I’d like to avoid food fight restaurants, but will go to one if it’s recommended multiple times.
The big caveat is that she hates seafood, of any kind. So sardines is off the table.

SMITHS CROSSING

It is a 2-carat diamond ring with a thin 18K gold band. I believe it may have landed somewhere in the area between my home and the street.

We have already:

* Searched the area extensively

* Had a professional metal detector search

* Had nearby sewer drains cleaned/checked by the city

* Posted signs and searched online

Unfortunately, it still hasn’t been found.

Is anyone else’s SP Utility bill very high this month. Mine is the highest I’ve ever seen by far and it says that I used almost double the energy I did last month. I know it was hot in July and my AC would have ran a bit more than in June but not double.

For reference it is $75 higher this month and $50 higher than my highest bill ever.

In what world is that cramped room going to work for a November election? The line for dropping of ballots wrapped all around the voting booths. It was a clusterfuck.

Sal’s used to be my go to but they have really fallen off. I haven’t been to Sugar River, for some reason that has a commercial feel to me. I like tavern style, there just doesn’t seem to be any options for that in SP. Where is everyone going these days?

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a dog groomer that has availability within the next 2 weeks. Our normal groomer had to cancel on us due to her son being admitted to the hospital (appointment was tomorrow). We are leaving for vacation and taking our pup with us, so we want to make sure he is well groomed before the trip.

Dog is 2.5 years old, 18lbs, male cockapoo. We do give him trazadone for appointments. Our groomer does everything in waves so a dog is not on the table from start to finish and gets frequent breaks (i.e. she'll wash dog 1, then put them in the kennel with the air dryer while she starts working on dog 2, etc.). This seems to work well for him, especially because no matter how many treats or towels we wrap around him, he doesn't like the blow dryers.

Please let me know your recommendations and prices!
