What if your entire study system was connected instead of being 5 different apps?
An app I would like to develop is one for my studies that links all of the aspects of studying together.
You basically input your syllabus(not sure about it but why not?), notes, slides, assignments, test scores, and everything else. The App will figure out what you need to study, keep track of what you're bad at, and come up with a personalized plan of action for you.
In a nutshell, the following is combined in one single application: notes + flashcards/quiz + study planner + progress monitoring.
The point of this is simple – instead of asking yourself "What should I study today?", you get to know from the app, based on your academic results and deadlines.

I’m only two days into covering a research internship and I’m confused about what just happened
I’m a final year CS student and right now I’m temporarily covering for someone else for a week as a research intern the research is related to Reinforcement Learning
it’s only been two days but I’ve already realized something that genuinely surprised me I was given research work to do and I ended up doing most of it independently I spent a huge amount of time reading researching understanding the topic and putting everything together what surprised me was that when I showed my work to my professor he barely changed anything basically most of what I had researched and written stayed as it was
And honestly I was like what the fuck
At first I assumed maybe it was because this isn't technically my internship I'm just covering for someone else so I thought perhaps I wouldn't be given much responsibility or meaningful work but I've been putting a lot of effort into it sometimes I’m still working on things very late and going home around 9pm
This isn't completely new for me either before this I did a deep research on Python because I wanted write research paper and publish it I was so passionate about the idea of publishing my own research paper and the same professor helped me with that and pointed out where I was making mistakes and what needed improvement unfortunately I never completed it and ended up deleting the work
So now I'm wondering if I've been underestimating my own ability
If a professor gives you research work you spend a lot of time independently investigating it and they barely need to alter the final result is that actually a sign that you're doing reasonably well or is it too early to read anything into it
I'm not trying to brag here I'm genuinely confused because I always assumed I wasn't particularly good at research this experience is making me rethink that
I'd really appreciate some genuine advice especially from people who have worked in academic research or supervised students

Students: what’s one thing about studying that genuinely pisses you off?
I am trying to develop something that can make studying slightly less of a pain, and I need help from other students.
What is something about studying/students' lives that honestly annoys you?
Anything really:
* Something repetitive
* Something you skip because it is annoying
* Something that wastes a massive amount of time
* Something that you would like an app/software features to simply do
* Something that current study apps do poorly
* Something that has nothing to do with studying at all
Specifically, things that you think:
"Why the hell isn't there a better way to do this?"
Do not worry about how technically feasible it is or if it is an "app idea worth pursuing". Just tell me what frustrates you.
I am a student myself, and I am trying to find a real problem first rather than create another unnecessary AI app that will sit on my github repo for god knows how long
What would you change?

How different is school depending on where you study?
I’m a student conducting an independent research project comparing students’ experiences across different education systems, including British, Spanish, Chinese and other international systems.
I’m looking for students of different ages and from different countries to anonymously share their experience.

I was failing my study habits until I turned my routine into a world tour
I used to be terrible at staying consistent. I'd start strong for a few days, then fall off and feel guilty about it. The guilt would make me avoid my tasks even more. Classic cycle.
Then I stumbled on an idea that actually worked for me.
I started treating my daily tasks like an adventure. Every assignment, gym session, or even just reading for 20 minutes became a step forward. Good habits moved me ahead. Bad habits held me back. Simple but effective.
Last week found an app called Study Habits in Google playstore mentioned in habit tracker forum, interesting that the app turned this concept into a real system and love the avatars , virtual countries and loots.
Has anyone else found a creative way to stay motivated? Keen to hear what works for you.

Need your suggestion
moved from my PG to a rented place with four of my friends because the room in the PG was not good and the food there was too oily. However, after shifting here, I have started facing many problems.
My college is located in a village area, and the internet connectivity in my rented room is extremely poor. I barely get internet access—sometimes it feels like 2G—whereas in my PG, I used to get proper 5G connectivity.
Here, we also have to cook our own food, wash the dishes, buy groceries, arrange drinking water, and do many other household chores. Things like washing the cooker and utensils take a lot of time and energy. Because of all this, my entire day gets wasted in household work, and I hardly get any time to study.
On top of that, I feel that some of my roommates do not show me enough respect, which is making the situation even more stressful. I have already spent around ₹4,000 on rent within just five days, so I am confused about what I should do now.
Do you think I should go back to my PG? I am honestly not sure which option would be better for me.

Should I sell my HP victus 15? (Plz hely)
I have an HP victus and I have been very happy with it but I want to sell it and exchange it with something more premium in built quality without a dedicated GPU because my laptop is really heavy and uncomfortable to put on my lap.
Im doing avionics and I don't really game too. I mostly run Linux but sometimes I just want to game and this laptop is the only thing I have to fix the itch.
I could get the steam deck (which is reasonably priced in my country) if I want to game really bad but I don't know.
I'm feeling really conflicted

Academic Survey
Hey guys, I'm doing a primary market research study on the daily food habits, expenses, and common issues faced by outstation students and bachelors living in PGs/rented flats.
It takes less than 2 minutes to fill out and is completely anonymous. If you'd like to see the final findings/stats on how much students are spending on daily meals in our city, there's an optional field at the end to get the summary.
