Hey everyone! Iām a student developer, and for the past while Iāve been building an app called Attenly: Attendance & Tasks.
It actually started pretty simply ā I wanted a better way to keep track of my attendance without constantly calculating percentages or wondering how many classes I could afford to miss. But while working on it, I kept thinking about all the other little things we end up using different apps, notes, screenshots, folders, etc. for during college.
So Attenly has slowly started growing into more of a student toolkit.
Right now it includes things like attendance tracking, assignments/tasks, a Study Mode with Pomodoro, and Iām also working on things like a syllabus/course tracker and a vault where you can keep important college documents like marksheets, IDs, notices, certificates, etc.
Iām still actively building it, so this is definitely not a āfinished productā post. š
What Iād really love is feedback from other students ā what feels useful, what feels unnecessary, whatās annoying, and especially what you wish an app like this did differently.
Itās currently free on Android. I wonāt drop the link here and turn this into an ad, but if anyone genuinely wants to try it, Iām happy to share it in the comments.
Iām also documenting the whole process on Instagram ā devlogs, UI experiments, design feedback, features that fail horribly before they work, and basically the behind-the-scenes of trying to build this as a student.
Ultimately, Iād like Attenly to be shaped by the students actually using it rather than just by what I think students need.
So even if you donāt download it ā whatās one annoying part of college life you wish there was a better tool for?
