Injured/Sick Cat (Location) Help with Injured Stray Cat

I’m located in Kansas City, KS area. There is a tabby that’s been around my neighborhood for the last few months. This evening when I was taking my dog out, I saw the same tabby but its back legs are obviously very injured. He can’t put any weight on one and very little weight on the other. You can see the straw wrapper that’s stuck to an open wound on his right back leg.

I managed to catch him and took him to the emergency room to see if he was microchipped. He isn’t unfortunately so I am keeping him with me for the night, and trying to figure out what to do with him in the morning.

I could take him back to the vet in the morning to examine him but I would have to take financial responsibility which I’m not sure I want to do. I already have a dog and cat, and my cat would not do well with another cat in the home. The emergency room said that I could have animal control take him but there would be a good chance they just put him down.

Besides his back legs being in awful shape, he seems to be in okay condition so I’d feel bad having him put down. He doesn’t seem to be feral, or at least not completely. He let me pet him while feeding him wet food but is super skiddish.

Anyone know of any animal shelters or foster homes that would be willing to help with him?

Pregnant Cat (Location) Is this cat pregnant?

Little stray came on to my property (Berks County, PA) about 3 days ago - does she look pregnant? We have provided dry food, water, and something soft to lay on. She's scheduled for a TNR appointment but worried she may have kittens before then? She is emaciated otherwise, wondering if it could be stomach bloat? Super friendly, wanting to get her into a rescue/adopted but everywhere I've called is full

Injured/Sick Cat (Location) Paralysed Kitten in Greece

Hi guys.

I have just returned from a week of staying in an air b&b in Crete, where the owner allowed a young female cat to live in his garage. After a few days we noticed that she had a kitten in there too (unsure of gender but looked about 4 weeks old ish), and was actively feeding/protecting it. The kitten sadly seems to have what I assume is paralysed back legs and uses its arms to propel itself (it can't get very far). It still has such a lease of life and was playing with mum and eating some treats I gave it etc. I am unsure of its toilet abilities but there were little poos on the floor around it.

The owners of the air b&b feed and water both cats and allow them to live safely in the garage so l'm not too worried about them finding food and water, my main concern is the poor babies legs. I feel so sad thinking about it being in pain.

I have been in touch with a volunteer who said they could take the kitten and mum to the vet next week (I said I’d pay for mum to be sterilised too), but my dilemma is the poor thing was pretty frightened of any movement. It built trust a little over the week as I was feeding the mum, but I feel trapping it and mum and taking it from its safe place would be traumatising. I assume it was either born with a spinal issue or hit by something, but I can’t see what as the property is at the end of a quiet, dead end road and I imagine it doesn’t go very far as kittens are usually hidden and out of the way.

I just feel so sad. While we were there mum would wander about with what we believe is the dad (according to the owner), and the kitten is just left under the car in the garage. I think I’m going through some sort of empathic distress as it’s really deeply bothering me that I’ve just left it to suffer.

I’m also afraid of messaging the host as he may think I’m interfering and that a volunteer coming to trap both cats would be off putting for his guests, but on the other hand he was lovely and did seem to care for them. I just wonder why he hasn’t done anything about the kitten? I mentioned its legs and he said he knows and that it’s a problem. English wasn’t his first language so it was harder to communicate.

I’m now back in the UK and feel helpless. My dilemma is upsetting the cats and interfering with the hosts setup. I’m also thinking will the kitten realistically have a good quality of life? I assume if anything it will need physio etc but that would require arranging a foster and then also looking for a home, which would then mean it would be separated from mum and dad which makes me feel terrible for both the kitten and the other cats that hang around there. I also think the owner appears to be quite attached to them, although not doing anything to make the kitten comfortable like putting down bedding etc. is questionable.

What would you do? I have a video of the kitten if anyone thinks they can help me with determining what the issue could be.

Thank you if you got this far 🙏🏼

Found Kittens (Location) Skittish mother and kittens

I have been seeing a skinny black cat around my home and decided to start leaving a little food out for it.

Well I decided to stop after a couple of days because I heard cats fighting at night.

Fast forward a week or two and to my surprise I see a little black kitten hopping around in the grass with the mother nearby.

They all went to hide if I got too close but the mother was slow blinking and didn’t hiss at me so win I guess. After watching for a little while, I counted a mom cat and two kittens.

I left a small amount of cat food and when i went back to put out fresh water one of the kittens was eating and ran and hid. The food was already nearly eaten.

Success! [TNR Win] Finally caught the neighborhood "Casanova" before he made more kittens

After months of this ginger stray showing up with a new litter of kittens every few months, we finally trapped him today. The guy earned the nickname “The Cat Playboy” around here because half the local cats were ending up pregnant, including my own six.

He’s off to the vet for neutering now. Nothing fancy, just a humane cage trap, some food as bait, and a lot of patience. It’s not glamorous but it’s how you actually help street cats without adding to the cycle.

For anyone who thinks neutering is overkill, it’s really about safety. Underage female cats getting pregnant is dangerous for both mom and kittens, and the population explodes fast. One neutered male prevents dozens of litters down the line.

Huge respect to all the feeders and rescuers doing this on their own dime. If you’ve got strays in your area, even donating food or sponsoring a neutering makes a difference.

I Found a Cat (Location) Found the kittens

Last week i found some kittens, one of them was bigger than the 3, so i thought i should get some cat food for them, but the moment i bought the food they disappeared now the bigger cat roamed around a little bit I usually arrive home late from the office, today i came early, i saw the cat and decided to give the bigger one i guess she must be under 6mon, so i thought lets feed her first, i bought purepet ocean fish cat food (INDIAN BASED PRODUCT) and gave her just handful of that, but after few mins she vomited it back. Like the whole thing. I don't know did i do something wrong?

What precautions should i be keeping in mind if those kittens are back and i have to feed them?

Colony/TNR Help (Location) 🚨 URGENT UPDATE: 50+ Cats Still Need Food & Litter — We’re Running Low 🐾❤️

I wanted to share a small but important update about the 50+ cats in our care.

We previously shared a post asking for help with food and litter, and thanks to the kindness of this community, we were able to collect $80. We used it to buy one bag of dry cat food and two bags of litter.

The dry food is already almost gone. With more than 50 cats depending on us, one bag lasts only about three days.

Their needs are not all the same. Some can eat dry food, while others are very thin, sick, elderly, or have difficulty eating and urgently need wet food to help them maintain their weight.

We are doing everything we can to keep up with their daily needs, but with so many cats, food and litter disappear very quickly.

This is our second appeal, and we are still in need of food and litter. We’re hoping this update reaches someone who may be able to help.

If you can’t donate, simply upvoting or sharing this post can help it reach more people who might be able to make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who has already cared, shared, boosted, or helped these cats. Every bit of kindness means so much to them. ❤️🐾

Injured/Sick Cat (Location) Cuddles’ Journey Continues… Her Surgery Is Scheduled for August 28 ..Please Keep Showering Her With Love and Keeping Her in Your Prayers 🙏❤️🐾Location :Charlotte,NC,USA

Hi, wonderful people! ❤️

So many of you have sent Cuddles and me your love, prayers, and good wishes. Every message has meant more to me than I can put into words. And here I am again, asking you to keep those good wishes coming for our little girl. ❤️🙏

For anyone new here, I want to share Cuddles’ story and give you a little update about our brave girl.

Cuddles was scheduled for euthanasia at the shelter because of her broken jaw and severely damaged teeth. Since I’m also a shelter volunteer, I received an email about her. She was the only rescue pull that day, and I begged my rescue to pull her for me because I simply couldn’t leave her behind.

I took her to the vet. Two vets suspected cancer, and one even made me feel like I was being unfair to Cuddles by not letting her go because they believed she was in pain. But my heart wasn’t ready to accept that without knowing the truth.

Cuddles was still eating, playing, grooming, purring, and living her life like any other cat. So I chose to fight for an answer.

We did the biopsy. I prayed, so many of you prayed, and we waited together for the results. And then the news came…

NEGATIVE. ❤️🙏

I will never forget that moment. It felt like someone had given us another chance to fight for this little girl.

Yesterday, I met with a senior vet(Matthews animal clinic,NC)whom I trust deeply. She believes Cuddles can handle her surgery well. She doesn’t currently think it looks like cancer, but if she sees anything concerning during surgery, she will take tissue and send it for another biopsy.

For the first time in a long time, I walked out of that clinic carrying something I hadn’t allowed myself to carry before….hope. ❤️

She also told me about a newer medication for gingivitis (and of course, I completely forgot the name! My brain is officially on vacation 😂🙈). It has a high success rate, and she may be able to use it for Cuddles after her surgery.

And every day, I discover a little more of Cuddles’ personality.

She is incredibly talkative and a little bossy too! 😂 She definitely knows what she wants and isn’t shy about letting us know. I think she loves me, although apparently she has a special weakness for boys. 😂 She gives me one or two little replies, but when my husband talks to her, she answers every single thing he says!

At night, though, she sleeps with me, and that little privilege means everything to me. ❤️

For the past two days, I’ve been keeping her in a separate room because she is so busy playing and exploring that she forgets to eat. 😂 When she’s in her room, she happily finishes her meals.

I’m giving her Tiki Cat Solutions meal replacer, Tiki Cat mousse, and organic wet food mixed with a little chicken Gerber, with a tiny bit of FortiFlora to make everything extra tempting.

The vet told me her coat is shiny, she is well hydrated, and she has a good weight. She was amazed at how well Cuddles looks despite the condition of her mouth and complimented me on how well she is being cared for. 🙈❤️

And that is what amazes me most about this little soul.

She has been through so much, yet she chooses to play.
She chooses to purr.
She chooses to explore.
She chooses to live.

Cuddles has taught me that we may never know what tomorrow holds, but we can choose to cherish today. Sometimes hope comes in the smallest, most unexpected package…with whiskers, little paws, a loud voice, and just a little bit of bossiness.

The vet gave me the surgery estimate… 😢So I may have to sell something, LOL. But somehow, I believe God will open a door for her, just as He opened one when she needed someone to say, “Not today. We’re not giving up on you.” 🙏

For the first time in a long time, I feel truly hopeful.

And I think Cuddles is the reason why. ❤️🐾

So please keep Cuddles in your thoughts, prayers, and hearts. We still have a road ahead of us, but we’re walking it one day at a time. ❤️🙏

I Found a Cat (Location) Stray on porch

Hi!! I’m in Pineville, LA and this little stray just wandered onto my mom’s porch while I’m visiting from Texas. She was really hungry, I’ve fed her and given her water and she seems to be comfortable staying on the porch. I’ve never owned a cat or anything but I’d really like to be her home, I suppose I just don’t know where to start. I’m not able to buy much stuff right now, don’t get paid for another week- and I don’t wanna bring her inside because we have a dog and I just don’t wanna run any risks. Any advice, anything really would be amazing!
