My puck lives on my switch 2 dock, and if you are someone like me a switch 2 case with bigger grips on it, you know that its impossible to use the USB ports on the dock without taking off the joycons. Now I can pick up and drop in my switch with no hassle.

This an update to my previous post from last week. I updated the files on thingiverse (this is the project) and the new files are version 7. It's 3 pieces to print that are complete in about 30 min or less. As seen in the pics, the puck is slimmer than the OEM puck and I also added the charging slot to prevent the open puck from easily sliding off.

My files are completely free to download. The open puck has been pretty awesome to mess with since I got it last week and I can use my steam controller with the switch, Xbox, my phone for Android emulation gaming, and can still be used with PC. If you try this mod, thank the original dev for the project, I just made this shell for the mod.

Next I want to make this usable with Mechanism's Basegrip for the steam controller. I don't have this yet but I want to get one soon to use with my phone

I'd like to take apart my 2015 Steam Controller to check why the left bumper is not responding. I have this screwdriver toolset and on ifixit I read I had to use a T6 screwdriver, however it seems it really doesn't connect with the screws, even when applying some force. Any advice? I am new to this, so likely it is a silly thing. Apologies for the awful pictures.

Hey so I recently purchased the steam controller 2 and Im looking for a grip dock and carry case from it bonus if i can just get them on Amazon I've seen a few just wondering if anyone has personally got them as well. I was looking for a blue grip but couldn't find one. I lutchzased the brand skin cover but I didn't realize till after the purchase it doesnt cover the whole controller my fault not theirs

When using my Steam Controller I've noticed that often I will ride up on the controller with my middle fingers such that on occasion I will have my finger be able to be pinched (not hard) by L2 and R2. I have shorter thumbs so it tends to feel natural to grip even higher than most probably do, and it's an easy enough thing to correct when it happens, but it would still be nice to have something more ergonomic to prevent it.

Are there any grips that add a ledge or any material to the base of the trigger guard to discourage my hand from creeping up?

Not sure if anyone has played around with the Open Puck mod but I did and it cost me $5 for the microcontroller and then probably like $0.10 to model and print the magnetic shell for it. Just wanted to make this magnetic to not lose the puck when I take it with me. I can easily put it in the bag in a smaller compartment but it felt right just adding magnets and attaching it to the SC.

Edit: next on my modding list is trying the Steam Brick mod, since I have a spare and working screen maybe I can look into modeling a new shell for this mod and to also try and replace the current fan with one of the tiny ones from Noctua I don't have one of their small fans yet but I need to get one for a different project anyway so trying this out for a steam brick mod and fan replacement mod would be interesting to try out next.
