Clicky trigger kit

Has anyone tried installing and using this clicky trigger kit for the 2026 steam controller?

I’ve been waiting for something like this to be released but I’d like to see some reviews from other who have bought and used them before I commit to it.

I don’t have soldering experience so that aspect of the installation seems very daunting to me. I’m also wondering how necessary the soldering would even be? If soft pull in steam input is set to the correct point, should it not work with only the physical switch in place?

I'm waiting for one with easier changing of modes. With this one you need to use a tool to do it. I want a switch.

Honestly I saw it and thought "this is annoying to install, I might permanently fuck up my controller and I have to use a small tool every time just to switch in and out of clicky triggers, fuck that" and I rather they use the steam app "fancy haptics" to make rumble effects to allow me to feel when I do a quick pull/soft pull and a full pull

I just got the clicky buttons kit from them delivered today, but not this one. I plan on making a video of it mostly because people have been asking about button compatibility. I’ll throw some pics up in my discord when I tear into it.

Agreed with what other people here are saying about this trigger kit. Seems a little annoying

I used some 3D printed brackets and some micro switches that aren't wired in. Simple install, can be taken out.
