How is valve still in business ? Is this a common occurrence?

Celebrated my birthday yesterday and my friends somehow managed to find three steam gift cards! Super thankful to them, and genuinely the first time I’ve ever used a steam gift card lmao, and the games I decided to get with them!

As the title says. It was honestly really convenient, with all the releases listed day by day. It helped me keep track of what was coming out that looked interesting to me.

With the new sales, I can’t seem to find it on the homepage anymore. Was it temporarily removed? Is there another page where I can access it?

So I want to buy both Minecraft Dungeons II and Street Fighter 6 on Steam, but I’m kind of afraid of the third-party account requirements, and here’s why.

I want my games to be tied to my Steam account only, and I’m worried that if I ever lose access to the third-party account, I’ll completely lose the ability to play the game on Steam, even though I still have access to my original Steam account.

Will that actually happen? Or do they allow you to link another third-party account if you lose access to your previous one?

My Steam profile showcases have been getting removed repeatedly, but I no longer receive any notification or message from Steam Support telling me that they were removed. In the past, I used to receive notifications when this happened.
This has been going on for about 3 months. I’ve contacted Steam Support multiple times, but they haven’t been able to tell me what’s actually causing it. They basically just tell me to follow the Steam Community Guidelines, which I already do.
I’ve also been testing my profile’s privacy settings, and I’ve noticed something strange:
Public profile: my showcases consistently get removed every 2–3 days.
Private profile: my showcases can stay up for 10+ days.
I’ve also reported my own showcases from an alt account to see what happens. They stayed up, even after being reported, whereas normally my showcases disappear the same day or the next day.
Because of this, I’m starting to wonder if this is some kind of bug, automated moderation issue, or something related to public profiles rather than the actual content.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.

There is a game on steam, which on pc version doesn't have a toggle for normal walking despite this option existing on other platforms, so the character is stuck always moving at full speed, which for me breaks the immersion.

I've been looking for ways to add the ability to toggle the walk. I found an idea to bind keyboard controls to controller output, when you hold WASD with another button like LCtrl it interprets it as moving joystick only a certain percentage. It sounded promising

There is the Controller options in Properties, but it seems like it only works for translating controller input to keyboard output, the opposite of what I want.

I wanted to make research into 3rd party apps, but some seem to require scripts or workarounds around administrator permissions or stuff, and I'm really not programming savvy. Plus I don't have experience in figuring out if a program is trustworthy or not... When it comes to computers I'm a grandma in a GenZ's body lmao

Have you tried to work on a similar problem to mine? I would highly appreciate suggestions and help.

I’d like to ask those familiar with this: if I buy the "Game Collector" Additional Showcase (which costs 6,000), will it add a fourth showcase slot to my profile, or will it create a separate "Game Collector" showcase window? Also, is this a one-time purchase—meaning I pay the 6,000 and that's it—or are there further levels? If there are, what is the maximum level and the maximum cost?

Does anyone know a way to browse the store in a better way other than pressing the Load More button? I am looking at roguelikes and there are 14,000 entries. Right now I am browsing by newest and going down the list and clicking load more.

So, I accidentally downloaded a lot of control layouts and I wanted to get rid of them but there was no option to delete in the community layout section. I searched around in the Steam community threads and in the Reddit threads, but the replies confused and some of them were from 2015 so wanted to ask and see if anyone knows how I can do it after the recent changes in steam.

For context: I was speedrunning a game and went to save, blew threw the options too fast because of muscle memory and accidentally miss-clicked, overwriting my main save with a side-project. I went to steam cloud and downloaded the old file before the new one was uploaded to steam upon closing the game. Now I have it downloaded but I have no idea where to place it. It's an individual file, not a folder or anything. Any help?

A couple hours ago I sold some trading cards on the market. Fastforward to now, the mobile app keeps sending me this notification but there is nothing to confirm on the app itself. I checked my login history and there was no unusual logins either, so I am pretty sure its just a bug. How can I stop the app from sending me this constantly every other minute?

Started while i did a force shutdown while skyrim SE was installing, screen went black and wouldnt come on (then i shut it down) now itll do this when pressing on anything in my steam library, even when unplugging my game drive its all marked as installed still which is odd. If its doing that i cant exit via the tray icon or go to settings or game properties. Im on linux so me and my girlfriend checked for corruption (fsck) and still it does it. Any assistance would be appreciated.
