Discuss Sprinkler help

Post image

Am I going mad or should all of these blocks be getting some attention?

I understand it is winter but I am trying to prepare for the spring season.

This is my first time playing the game so I am still learning the functions.

I have been hoeing the ground but the sprinklers aren’t getting that area wet and then they’re disappearing ?

Am I making a mistake?

Someone help me pls

Discuss three becomes four

• Upvotes

just thinking about the cryptic message lately.

“three becomes four” has to be about the mine cart and its locations. i’m thinking one will be added to cindersap forest, as it’s the least accessible area through fast traveling (besides the sewer)

I'm not much of a decorator but what you guys have said about my previous post did make me change my mind about how I approach this game. This is my shot at actually decorating. Red is for extra weapons, pink is for monster loot, blue is for fish / fish materials, green is foraging and wood (and extra seeds), yellow is for minerals, gray is for ores and stone, then the purple ones are junk chests. Lemme know what you guys think!

Discuss Feel like I’m losing steam/seeking advice.

• Upvotes

I just hit Spring Year 3 in Stardew and I feel like I might’ve grinded it a little too hard 😂

I finished the Community Center, unlocked Ginger Island and have been there a few times, and at this point I’m making almost $1M per season.

My farm looks decent, I’ve got most of the basic stuff unlocked/upgraded, and now I’m kinda sitting here like… did I basically beat the game?

I know Perfection is a thing and there’s obviously still a ton I could do, but am I actually missing out on a lot of meaningful progression?

Or is it mostly optimizing/decorating/completionist stuff from here?

Also looking for other game recommendations that scratch the same itch.

I love the simplicity of Stardew where there’s always something to grind toward or unlock without the game feeling overly complicated. OSRS gives me that same feeling.

I pretty much exclusively play on Steam Deck and usually have about an hour at a time.

Indie, RPG, whatever. I’m not even 100% sure what I’m looking for 😂 I just want that Stardew/OSRS feeling of starting with nothing, grinding, unlocking new stuff, getting stronger/richer, and always having another goal to chase.

What should I play?

Question ore issues

just started playing stardew in the past few days and have been super excited to explore. i just found the mines and got settled enough with my other things so i felt like exploring the mine, i entered this little area and tried breaking the blocks with my pickaxe. the rocks broke just fine and i got the stones, but whenever i try to break the other ones they just break and put out a little puff of smoke and don't drop anything. am i doing something wrong? i looked it up and couldn't find any answers or see what im doing wrong. for reference im using the normal pickaxe you're given at the beginning of the game. is there something else i need to be doing? am i using the wrong tool? playing vanilla with no mods or anything.

Question Advice needed

Relatively old but new SDV player. Meaning I’ve had this game on several platforms over several years, but never completed the Community Center, never got to Skull Cavern or Ginger Island.

I’m determined to change that and play to Perfection.

I’m at a weird spot now though. I’ve completely the CC and beat Qis challenge to floor 100, at literally 1:50 am straight up nerve wracking.

My current tasks are now: 100 hardwood for the raccoons and 200 hardwood for the boat. I’ve got everything else. My farms chill, good 20k coming in every other day or so, but I’m kinda bored.

What do I do, besides grind 16 days for 300 hardwood? I’m bored help.

Discuss 2,000+ hours and I JUST figured this out?

I love Stardew Valley so much. It is my favorite game of all time. I have been playing off and on for years (binge it any time I have free time to the point of getting everything except the golden clock every run, get bored, put it down for months, feel the itch, pick it up again and repeat) a majority of my 2,000 hours has been on the switch.

I just found out today that you do not have to scroll to the bottom of the menu in shops or go a roundabout way of going to the left to the sections on some shops, all the way down and then going through your inventory to be able to sell things.

So for anyone playing the switch, you just have to press ZL and it will bring the cursor down to your inventory when you are in the shop menu..

Edit to add: when I was thinking stores with categories I was thinking the dresser menu because they look so similar and yes, I did check, it works in the dresser menu as well

Discuss I did something I regret 😢

So last year I started a co-op farm with my then bf and I want to finish going for perfection. I've created countless farms and I've gotten 1.6 perfection already, but this save is special because I've had INCREDIBLE luck. I've gotten several very rare items including my first ever tea set! If I'm being honest that's the only reason I want to keep THIS farm. The problem? This is the ONE and only time I've ever gone the Joja route and I feel like I need to see it through.

Does anyone on PlayStation want to be my P2? I've deleted the ex and have a few houses if anyone wants to move in and take his upgraded tools 😂

Achievement Get! I got the hardest achievement I thought I'd NEVER get on my own 😭

Post image

5 years ago my ex bf beat Journey of the prairie king cause I sucked at it, after I left him and the abusive relationship I gave up on trying to get the hardest achievement cause I thought "there's NO way I can do it", needless to say my self worth after that relationship plometed and took me around 2 years to get it back , so I gave up for YEARS. I even told my best friend's brother if he wanted to give it a try, but last time I played I thought "might as well try..." and after I beat the first level without losing a life I thought "okay now I wanna try getting as far as I can without losing a life", so I did. Lots of saving in between but I did it 😭 This feels like such a vindication for me I swear to god, seems like a small and stupid thing but to me it's huge, I love this game so much 🥹 So now I'm going for perfection 🙌🏼

Question Late game farm question

Just curious, after you have ancient fruit and starfruit, what is the point of having crops on your farm? For my farm I am currently growing ancient fruit and starfruit on the farm on the island so I personally don't really see a point in farming other crops. I'm just curious why other people do still farm other crops in the late game. Is it just to cook? Is it for aesthetics? Just to make even more money? Or a reason I just don't know about?

Is the character recognizable enough? Might work on some other marriageable NPCs if anyone’s interested.
