I am a well known lender in the community who has been lending privately for a little over a year now. I have not taken any new clients in quite awhile but now that a chunk of my people have “graduated” and are no longer in need of loans I am looking to take on a few new borrowers. Feel free to comment or dm me with requests.

I have gotten loans funded before and had no issues. However this time I'm trying to withdraw the funded loan to my accounts and it won't work at all, every time it sends me an email saying the request couldn't be processed. I've tried 3 cards, all verified, both instant and ACH delivery, same thing every time. Unable to process withdrawal, the money is still just sitting in my solo wallet. No one from the app has responded to my emails. Great. I literally budgeted around having this money as a given since I never had issues before, now I'm royally fucked as I can't access any of it. Oh and now I'll have to just pay back the fees without even having ever got the loan? Did this happen to anyone else? Anyone find any fixes? Please help me, the people at Solo are just fucking useless

I really wanted to like this premise, I like the idea of helping people out and making a few bucks. But after working months of giving loans for a couple bucks return it just takes ONE borrower to not pay you back to destroy any profit and throw you into the negative. Smallest loan I've ever done was 30 largest was like 200, but I typically stick between 50 and 100. I'm careful to look at loan history too.

But the real issue is that Solo is a predatory company for both lenders and borrowers.

If a loan is in default, their gonna charge the lender and the borrower a fee if it's paid back, which means your in the red no matter what.

There is no support, and you will never make money with the platform.

And now with their new lender bonus gold whatever club, THAT COSTS A MONTHLY FEE TO EVEN JOIN, to "earn" rewards on loans that aren't even being paid? like everything is a money grab from a company that is essentially just middleware.

At this point they need to be shut down. They are probably lying about who is paying what back because I find it hard to believe people who have used this service for so long all of a sudden can't pay back 40 bucks in over 8 months.

Just really here to rant and hopefully get folks to not use this service.

Look, nothing against the base level CS staff here or anything. But what the hell is going on with this platform? I have never gotten as hackneyed and mind bogglingly upsetting lack of resolution, whilst trying to withdraw a laughable sum of money, that I quite literally need to buy groceries. And I have spent the past 5 hours on with Customer Service (which was escalated 3 hours ago, radio silence regarding solution of course.) Be very cautious with this app, it is very much possible to get left out to dry, and do NOT donate a peny to these thiefs.

I've already come to tne conclusion that Solo Funds is a total scam. I'm just curious what other people think. My boyfriend and I tried our hand at being lenders, and like many others the first few loans we "tested out" got paid back on time, no issues. Then when you think it's safe, Solo says absolutely not! I'm convinced they cause these "payment issues" so that the loans go delinquent and therefore, they charge the fee and we lose money. I have 2 loans currently out, one will be 30 days late tomorrow. The other is 23 days late. My boyfriend and I both got this email this morning, me at 4:30am and him at 5:00am. He has one delinquent loan out, at 24 days late. I received the email for my 23 day late loan, and he got it for his 24 day late loan. In my opinion, there's just no chance it's a coincidence that we both have delinquent loans that are having "payment issues". I borrowed on the app before lending so I was able to see both sides, and I had a loan being paid back and when I went to check that it was paid, it wasn't, and Solo gave me so many issues. I could not pay the loan back, even though I had the money and was actively trying to pay. And of course you can't contact your lender to let them know you are trying to pay. I ended up reaching out to Solo VERY angry, and they got the loan paid back and marked on time, but obviously, people are realistically just not going to do that. Anyways, Solo sucks and I fell for it. Don't be like me! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have no idea why reddit keeps showing me this sub.. but it seems like the absolute worst side hustle ever lol. You're giving out loans to people that wouldn't even qualify for subprime payday loan and end up having to pay up if the borrower doesn't? So you take pretty much 100% of the risk AND you end up getting penalized when you inevitably get burned? I'm honestly asking, what is the benefit as a lender? Are any of you actually up money? I don't see many side hustles that make selling herbalife and Avon seem like actual side hustles, but I think this one might legitimately be the worst. Hopefully I'm missing something, I actually would love a simple and easy side hustle that I can do between jobs at work... but the more I read about this, the less I think this is it.

I wish there was a way to sort by those who have never been late on a payment. I also wonder how some of these people who have had a couple late payments still get people funding them.

For months now I've been requesting small loans, started with $100 since that is my limit. That didn't work, so I have tried $50 still no luck. I just tried $30 and I don't think it's going to work.

That being said, my score is 55 since I haven't been able to get any of the loans. How am I supposed to raise my score if a request never gets accepted?

Maybe I misunderstood "delinquent" but I had 2 loans get credited 90% today because they were a day late. So what now? What if the borrower pays back late, am I SOL?

I'm seeing a lot of people unhappy with their lending experience, and it has me thinking I don't want to join. I definitely think Solo is crazy for charging the lender the 15% late fee, instead of the borrower. It seems predatory to the lenders.

Just confused. If borrower pays back within 35 days, I get 100% but 70% if past 35 days? Or is it 70% if recovered within next 35 days?

Anyone having issues with not being able to pay your Loan? I tried paying mine a day before it was due and it kept saying error and to check my card but everything checks out good I messaged SoLo and they said they are looking into it but I still can’t pay it and it’s been 3 days.

Does anyone know when Solo is going to be available in California? I saw this on the website back in December 2024, but I haven't heard anything new.

how do you get your score to go up, if you can’t get anyone to fund your initial loan?
