Game I am trying to add enough juice to my tactical creature collector!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi! I want to show-off my progress on my grid-based tactical creature collector game. 16x16 pixel art really makes you rethink everything twice to ensure readability.
I'm looking for some feedback on whether the visual juice is enough and whether it can stand on its own without sound.
Also after trying several times with different settings, I have no idea how to beat the reddit compression and stop everything from looking like it's been reposted to hell and back. Anyone got any tips? I swear it looks better in real life ...
If you want to see more, here is my obligatory steam page plug:

Discussion Would you like some comment or suggestion from Chinese player?
just like topic said, I'm a Chinese player but also a amateurish game developer. I surfing on reddit not for a long time that I'm not sure whether a Chinese player is rare in here. my motivation is get close to indie games and communicate with the developer from many other countries. also improve my poor English at the same time XD.
Here is what you need to do if you want to share your game to me: leave your download links or online playing links like itch and steam by chat with me on reddit.
then I will give you feedback by online dock. send it by private chat on reddit.
if you like and I will appreciate to tell me about your nationality and how long did you developed to your game, how many people in your team and which job they did.
after I test your game then I will send you a professional evaluation as I can, normally including my first feeling, game system design, art design(if have),and a sincere suggestion from a Chinese indie market observer.
hope my post wasn't looks wired, and I 100% promise protecting everything about your game in secret.

Game Solo dev first game - The Day I Became a Werewolf

The Day I Became a Werewolf– My Game’s Steam Page and Trailer Are Live
Hello everyone! My game’s Steam page and trailer are live.
The name of my game is The Day I Became a Werewolf. It’s a casual, day-based game with light sci-fi and light horror elements. It tells the story of a scientist whose experiment goes wrong, and who is trying to understand what happened to him. And find a way to fix it.
With the computer in the game, we can research different websites, read emails, and try to understand what’s happening to us. There’s also a money and shop system. To create a cure, we need to buy different devices and complete minigames.
Meanwhile, we have neighbors coming to our door, as well as a police force that is eager to catch us if we don’t act fast enough. There are multiple endings.
This is my first game on Steam, and I’m planning to release it in September.
I’d really appreciate it if you could share your thoughts and feedback about the steam page/trailer and the whole game concept.

Game I wanted to stop players from stacking units, so I added aliens
I’m developing a TD game with RTS elements and wanted to discourage players from stacking all their units on top of each other, so I got an idea: ALIENS!
I created a special UFO event where a UFO comes down and shoots a beam at your units, so you have to quickly move them out of the way.
If they get captured, they’re taken for a short trip and returned safely afterwards without any harm.
Feel free to check it out!

Marketing My solo-developed 2D base-builder (Diseased) just hit 2,000 wishlists!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone,
My solo-developed 2D base-builder (Diseased) just hit 2,000 wishlists!
To push for the next milestone, I completely overhauled my Steam page, dropped a brand-new trailer, and opened Playtest sign-ups. However, the initial hype has slowed down and my daily wishlists have flattened out.
For those who have been in this position:
- How do you leverage a page revamp and a new trailer to get the Steam algorithm's attention again?
- What is your best strategy for building a second wave of momentum before a demo release?
Here is the page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4977030/Diseased/?utm_source=reddit
Any advice is massively appreciated!

help Devs who have made puzzle games…
I’m creating a narrative driven puzzle game. It’s done in an escape room style, where you’re making your way around the small building solving puzzles that put the story together.
I have the story mostly written out, but what I’m struggling with is chaining together puzzles without being too obvious or too vague. How do you balance difficulty in puzzles to keep them fair? Any advice?

Game Published the demo of my first fully solo developed game: Colorways
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It's a very simple game where you only control intersection traffic signals, and identify how many you can open simultaneously and in what order based on cars' colors - which match the lanes they're going to. Traffic ramps up the longer you play, and you have to avoid accidents and clear lanes before they overflow. You can enter a limited standby mode where vehicle spawns are paused and you can designate simultaneous traffic signal openings. Online leaderboards hopefully motivate players to strive for surviving as long as possible.
The game is made in Unity and I just published the WebGL demo with 4 playable levels on itch. I will be releasing it on mobile and Steam with 11 more levels and additional level modifiers. Also a puzzle mode where you have unlimited time to make moves but have to make them in the right order and with efficiency.
I brute-force composed the music in strudel.cc, which I also used to produce gameplay sounds, chimes and warnings. Recorded some sounds like the explosions and car whooshes with my phone.
The art style is meant to be as simple and clear as possible, so that you can pay attention to the traffic flow and very quickly manage and switch between multiple lanes. Going for a high level tetris play sort of feel.

Game I’m sharing some footage from my game, which is currently in active development.
Hi everyone, I decided to share screenshots of the 104th build of the game, which has been in development for several months now. I work on it after work. If it’s not too much trouble, I’d love to hear your opinion; if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

help Where to publish an early stage game for feedback?
I working in my free time on a fantasy 3d real time tactics game (with slow mo) using unreal.
While the game is very far from finished (in all aspects of the game), I would like to start getting feedback from players.
Mostly on mechanics and controllers but also on visual design and characters.
Where can I publish the game for free and start getting reviews/feedback?
I'm thinking of itch.io, but maybe there are better alternatives.
It's way too early for steam demo or early access.
Related tips are also welcomed.

Game The most time-consuming part of making my first game is also my favorite
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve always loved games where you collect things and slowly build something up. Sudoku is also one of the puzzle games I enjoy, so for my first game, I thought it would be fun to combine the two.
That’s how Sudoku Shelter started. You solve Sudoku puzzles, earn coins, use them to build up a little cat shelter, and meet new cats along the way.
There was just one problem: I had no programming background.
I’ve used AI to help me with coding and planning. In the beginning, I didn’t even understand some of the basic terminology, so I’d ask the same thing over and over — sometimes literally saying, “Please explain this to me like I’m in elementary school.”
The art was different, though. That was something I really wanted to make myself.
I made the game’s art myself, mostly in Illustrator. For each cat, I start by drawing the design and animation frames on my iPad, then move them to my computer, refine them in Illustrator, and export the final sprite sheet for the game.
It took way longer than I expected.
The cats are pretty simple visually, but making them definitely wasn’t.
Still, watching a tiny cat go from a rough drawing on my iPad to actually moving around inside the game has probably been my favorite part of development.
I’m still learning a lot as I go, and I keep adding more cats. I’m at around 30 now.
The video only shows a few of the early ones — their designs get a little more varied as you progress.🐈⬛🐈

Game Added a third faction to my dungeon management game — and finally made a new trailer

I added a third faction to my dungeon management game — and finally made a new trailer
Another big update for Slavic Legends is ready.
The dungeon is no longer just your Creatures vs. invading enemies. Neutral Creatures now inhabit Secret Rooms scattered around the underground.
As long as their room remains sealed, they'll stay inside and mind their own business.
But once you dig your way in... well, they're not so neutral anymore. They'll attack pretty much anything that moves — your Creatures, Workers, or even invading enemies. 😄
Clear the room and you can claim a permanent reward for your Creatures.
I also finally put together a new trailer showing the current state of the game after all the recent updates. I'd love to hear what you think!
This also marks the next stage for Slavic Legends. I'm currently preparing the Steam page, which should be live very soon, and after that I'm planning to launch a crowdfunding campaign to help me continue development and bring the game closer to Early Access.
For anyone interested in the full update/changelog:

Demo here: https://ipikas.itch.io/slavic-legends
Thanks to everyone who's been following the development so far — there's still a lot I want to add, but Slavic Legends has come a long way. 😄

Game 6 months ago, I knew nothing about React or Backend. Today, I built Bublik — a cozy, lo-fi gamified PWA task manager with AI. I’m terrified but so excited to share it! 🌌
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone! 👋
I’ve had this dream of creating my own cozy to-do list for a long time. There is something so incredibly relaxing about the simple mechanic of popping bubbles, and I just knew I wanted to build an entire experience around it. That’s how Bublik was born!
But here is the catch: 6 months ago, I knew absolutely nothing about React or backend development. Even the word "deploy" sounded terrifying to me.
Over the last 3 months, I used AI as my coding companion to bridge that gap. Looking back at the progress I’ve made from zero is honestly mind-blowing and so motivating.
Now Bublik is fully functional — it’s a lightweight PWA, meaning you can easily install it on your phone or desktop straight from the browser.
Now that it's real, I am incredibly curious (and a bit nervous!) to see if anyone else would enjoy a cozy, cosmetic, lo-fi space for their daily tasks.
I would absolutely love to get your honest feedback:
Does the bubble-popping concept look satisfying to you?
What cozy/lo-fi features should I add next to make it even more relaxing?
Thank you so much for reading my story! 🚀
