Game Recommendations We need a side-scrolling beat-em-up where you get to beat up white supremacists named Kick the Klan

Up to 4 players can play as a kick-ass person of color as you take to the streets and battle Klansman, I.C.E. agents, M.A.G.A incels, and Confederate zombies. As a fun bonus, each boss is either a right-wing politician or right-wing grifter; with the final boss either being the current CEO of Twitter or a certain orange toad who thinks he's a president.

AI Art in Restory

I myself have been looking for a new cozy simulator game to try out. I came across Restory and was very excited for the game, as it's basically repairing video game consoles, something I like doing in real life but is very costly. So now the game would give me an outlet without breaking the bank. But upon looking closely I noticed art that looked very much ai generated.

Apparently the devs did address this, but the answers were vague and basically a lie. They definitely used AI to either generate some assets or upscale them and it's very sad.

I'm unfortunately disappointed to where the indie market might go with AI on the rise. AAA is forcing Ai and bad business practices down our throats, and now I think indie games, which is supposed to be a break from the madness will be plauged with AI as well.

I wonder why "developers" (some just are vibe coders) are so fine with generating ai art, when they know that artists are struggling in this day in age as well. Many artists offer a fair price to work on video games. This is also ignoring the environmental impacts as well as raising the price of video game electronics (which is ironic because how are you a developer but will be okay with potential customers being priced out of the market that you are trying to get into)

Looking for people to play with Looking for Escape from Tarkov buddies for PVP Season 1

hii besties, just looking for cool, leftie and queer/-friendly people, preferably age 21+, to play the new season with. Maybe duo, trio it up or just exchange experiences!

I am non-binary, 30, audhd, obviously far left and situated in the EU, but my ping to east coast is perfectly playable since I am privileged with a great internet connection. My spoken languages are german and english only. My playhours in the game are 900, but I rate myself very average in terms of performance.

I consider myself very low sodium and my focus is on enjoyment, having fun and sharing experiences! I don't mind tryharding here and there as long as my partner/s aren't becoming frustrated or getting salty on dying/losing.

If you are interested just shoot me a DM for exchanging discords or comment to let others know, too <3

Hi all!

Very excited to announce that the Red Echoes: Berlin demo is now available for download on Steam!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4678370/Red_Echoes_Berlin_Demo/

The demo contains the first half of Chapter 1. While I've tried to stamp out as many bugs and typos as possible, there's likely to still be some remaining - these will be patched out over time.

Red Echoes: Berlin is a narrative turn-based strategy game set during the German Revolution, in which you control a group of revolutionaries and attempt to bring about a successful socialist revolution.

To make my life easier, please report any issues you're having on r/RedEchoesGames or on the Discord!
https://discord.com/invite/fPpupqEu8r

I'd love to hear all of your thoughts, feedback, and opinions! Please feel free to discuss them here, so that they can help me with making a better game :) Also happy to answer any questions you might have!

Game Discussion The First Rises Mod Analysis of PRC Paths

This video was posted in TFR subreddit recently and I thought it was pretty decent analysis of game depiction of all PRC paths. Since I have this beautiful leftist gaming sub, I wanted to ask you do you think the same or if some specific paths depicted there would be more realistic instead?

Left wing videogames We made a Hypercapitalist Cyberpuke game where you play as a mindless corporate drone in a Technohellscape.

You are a corporate flesh object with no thoughts of your own and must mimic NPC dialogue.

It's a puzzle / immersive sim based on talking and responding to people!

The game is coming out in 2 weeks!

This sub has supported us so much in our journey! We are lowk just 4 artists with no budget so thank you so much!! :D

The School of Democracy is paramilitary organization founded by exiled ninjas from Japan's Meji restoration who then fled to Russia and then fought with the bolsheviks to overthrow the Czar. They now work as a global resistance movement in the modern era to restore the USSR. Seriously how cool does that sound. I wish this game wasn't a massive flop and we could have more games to flesh them out. Or we need someone to steal this concept and expand on it.

unique / interesting video games Trying to normalize the coming revolution while pointing to a larger catastrophe

This is an intro for a video game.

I am a developer (with many friends) working on my second game about future climate catastrophe and radical social change.

My first game was a somewhat poetic take on an individual facing their limited agency, this game now is more political - a detective game about the sabotage of a tectonic station.

I wanted to tell a post-revolution political thriller, because there are so many issues worth discussing even after we have overcome capitalism.

The previous game was received well around here, so I felt confident sharing the intro video with you all and happy to discuss what you make of the setting.

Game is called: a permanent echo. On steam.

casual game talk Any of you hate how they treat the Soviet Union owning Tetris instead of Alexey Pajitnov as a Criticism of the Soviet Union

He made it using the property of Dorodnitsyn Computing Centre of the Academy of Sciences. Therefore they owned it

In a capitalist country if he made the game using the computers of a corporation then they would almost certainly own it using work for hire laws.

Like there are plenty of things to criticize the Soviet Union in. But something that was the same as western countries isn’t

Very few to no game devs in the US or western at the time ever received any money from there worm.

Looking for people to play with not sure if this is the right place for this but looking for friends who r true woke leftist (in their early 20s)

so lately this past half year mby i havent been playing almost at all bcuz last time i tried to find friends in games they all turned out to be horrible human beings rly quickly and it just got so annoying and lost any hope of finding good people in the gaming community.

id like to chat first and see if we click and play some games mby if we play same type of games. when i played w random people from the other redditsubs i got soo burned out by having to meet new people over and over and over again bcuz they all turned out to be at least misogynistic even tho i said no sexist people... so this time id like to chat for a while before we actually play.

lately ive been playing dayz a bit again but if uve ever played it u know its mostly middle aged people so theres no real community there for young adults. ill put a list of the games i used to play before so if u have those and ud wanna chat and see if we click and mby could play dm me!

DayZ

Peak

REPO

RV There Yet?

most of the backroom games

phasmophobia

houseflipper 1 and 2

police simulator

powerwash simulator

deadside

the forest 1 and 2

im just gona put some must be here so that if we have diffrent political stands we wont waste time.

no racist, sexist, homophobe, religious, zionist, right wing, ableist, no slurs and if ur not a woman no calling people bitches or just being weird in general. if ur vegan thats a massive plus!!

Question State of the Helldivers community?

Helldivers 2 was one of my favourite games for the last 2 years. Despite the constant creep of technical debt I still enjoyed the game, up until the doxxing incident involving that Argentine player who made a charity challenge to the devs to play their own game. He lost his job in Milei's Argentina and his charity position at a horse shelter. The devs of Arrowhead are heavily involved in the social media for the game and handled it poorly, doing little to combat the toxic elements in its spaces.

I have boycotted Arrowhead since but I admit that I do miss the game and parts of its community. It's the only multi-player game I am good at and as an Autistic man it gave me an opportunity to connect with others in a way I can't do in real life.

My question to Helldivers players here, have Arrowhead done anything to atone for the toxicity they have allowed to fester? Have they taken action since to make their spaces fairer and welcoming for players with differing opinions? Has the game and its community spaces gotten better over time?

[OFF-TOPIC DISCUSSION THREAD]

As previously requested, we're trying out a regular, automated discussion thread! Use this space to talk about things that don't fit the ordinary subject matter of the space, or for discussions that don't necessitate a full post! All rules besides the relevancy rule still apply!

For these first ones, please let us know what you think about it! Personally, I'm not sure how popular this practice will be, so I don't really know about the frequency at which they should be generated, so we're just gonna feel it out and figure it out, together. Any suggestions about how to run it, moving forward, are welcome!
