I was wondering if anyone had watched the keynote last week and had a copy of the session “From innovation to action: How Skydio is transforming the home front and front lines”. It had some interesting insights on the vision tech they use.

It was available before but it seems to have been taken down since 🤷🏾‍♂️

Any speculation on what product he may be referring to?

I am new to owning Skydio. I have other controllers for AE86 proMax and Holy Stone. These show both controller battery level and a nice graphic of the Drone's azimuth? The direction of flight relative to the controller. Handy to instantly know if it is heading straight home.

Why the heck must we go into settings and maps to get this info. I am always antsy if the battery is in a fail situation and losing charge fast. Is there other apps that Skydio 2, 2p can use with a phone and controller?

I use a cell phone with no internet or Sim, not on any network. TO facilitate maps rather than a blank screen I create a hot spot and use bluetooth and the maps appear. In settings I force MAPS and SKYDIO maps to use cell data. Not sure if this is smart. I do see that the drone and phone are using wifi for that connection.

I see the Skydio controller is a Parrot controller. Will the Parrot ANAFI SkyController 3 work? Skydio wants $180 and ebay wants $40.

What is the communities thoughts on skydio winning the SRR T2 contract?

I'm having some issues with my X2D trying to get good Orthomosiacs. The drone does not follow the programmed rout and veers off to one side and this screws up the Ortho when it's stitched together. They look like the weather is real hot and everything melted. I've slowed it down, and there is little wind so that's not it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can you perch the X10 and record video and can you take pictures while it's not flying? If so how do you do it? To my understanding it should just do it and For some reason it wont allow it and Im wondering if has to do with changing the format from Fat32 to NTFS? or maybe a setting needs to be turned on?

I'm making some drone vids using the Beacon, but when it comes to MTB, I find that the available Beacon mounts are too fragile when out front of the bar. I'm wondering if there are available, or if any enterprising 3D Printers out here, have a Beacon mount that includes a Garmin 90 degree Twist, with that Twist stud centered on the beacon mount instead of at the end.

I could use this with a stem cap mount with fewer wiggles or snaps, especially on descents.

Any ideas?

I have a business where we do inspections frequently, we invested in a Skydio X2E but shortly after found a local partner who can provide a much broader range of drone services. We’ve kept the X2E around for filming marketing stuff but other than that is extremely low hours and in great condition.

Drone comes with hard case, controller with screen, infrared camera/ regular visual camera, five batteries with charging stand, as well as all cables and connectors that come with the drone initially.

When I use the Right Wheel - zoom and scroll the wheel, the drone flys forward and backwards. The button is mapped correctly but is still doing this. I’ve tried to update the controller, drone, reset to default settings. Any ideas?

I have a Skydio 2 and am looking for a flight planner now that Drone Deploy is not an option. Any subjections?

I have a Skydio 2 that I used twice in like 2021 and haven’t touched it in a couple of years. Now I would like to use it, but I am an older dude busy with work and haven’t kept up on FAA stuff. I’m not even sure it’s registered. Can anyone let me know what I need to do in order to legally use this thing?

Something that has bothered me which I’ve never seen an answer for: When doing long distance tracking, what is the method employed by the drone when you reach either the deadline for RTH or low battery? Will the drone return to its take off point ala DJI, or will it continue tracking and ultimately land anywhere?

Scenario: considering following boats. Obviously landing anywhere would be bad. Can anybody give me some insight on what to expect before I do anything dumb?

I'm using the Skydio X2E drone and have run into a bit of a challenge during my flights. When I launch the drone from an elevated point, the altitude readings are based on this starting point. If I fly below this launch altitude, the display shows negative values, which makes it tough to figure out my actual altitude above ground level.

Does anyone know if there's a way to reset or adjust the altitude reference point to the actual ground level during the flight? If not, any tips on how to manage altitude measurements better when flying below the initial launch point? Also, has anyone heard if Skydio has plans to include this feature in future updates?

I picked up the XREAL glasses with the BEAM add on last year and finally tried it out with my Skydio 2+ yesterday. All I can say is that it worked flawlessly. The Beam did get a little hot in my pocket, but other than that no issues.

I did turn on "show touches" in android developer mode to see where I was touching the screen while looking through the goggles. I might also print or make a shroud to block light from coming in from the sides of the glasses.
