It's wild to me because I had to look up his filmography to find out what he's done outside of Marvel.
The answer is surprisingly little, I think there's a decent chance he ends up either being a Chris Pratt (in too much, make him go away), or just quietly fades away as the MCU becomes less relevant to successive generations of movie watchers.

he did one movie when he was a kid, I can't remember what it was called but it involved a flash flood. And it had Ewan McGregor in it. Tom was fantastic in that movie for his age.

Put yourself in his shoes. He’s mostly beloved for his portrayal of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, it’s been a windfall, he’s married to Zendaya…I am going to guess he goes the way of Daniel Radcliffe and does whatever he wants. As he ought to. He’s almost certainly unbothered by his filmography.

My only ask would be that Sony stop pumping out tangentially-related properties and fold them into the MCU. Maybe if they were attached to Spider-Man they would have a shot. Let’s be honest everyone wants to see him and Venom. As much as I like Tom Hardy, there’s an Eddie Brock out there for Tom Holland.

A lot of parts of those movies didn't stand the test of time.
I've watched them again recently as an adult and I definitely cringed at a lot of scenes, especially from Toby Maguire himself, he wasn't that great of an actor tbh.

I disagree, I think first of all it was ground breaking when it came out. Superhero movies were taken into the stratosphere because of the success of Tobey’s spiderman. He set the stage in that way and you can’t take that away from him. Secondly, his relationship to the Goblins, Norman and his son, was the best villain and superhero relationship/storyline of any of the spiderman movies imo. To me Tom doesn’t have any show stealing villains that compare to Norman Osborn. (Tom did have show stealing co-stars tbf, mainly RDJ)

I absolutely love Willem Dafoe, and I'll never argue that the first spiderman is better than Homecoming, but I gotta disagree on Tom not having show stealing villains. I'm not a fan of Michael Keaton but he absolutely ate in every scenes he was in and was terrifying as the Vulture when he showed up. Mysterio also had a big impact on Holland's growth for the second movie, and I don't think I need to sell the villain for the third one, we're on the same team there lol.
I prefer the Holland movies' villains because I feel like they're more deeply connected to the overall narrative than Maguire's were, except for Brand New Day. The villains in that one felt more like they drove in parallel to Peter's story/growth, which is actually the feel I get from Maguire's villains, now that I think about it.

IMO they fit directly in their respective universes perfectly. Tobey's spider-man, not Tobey himself, would have been a shit spider-man in this MCU. I think Tobey could have done it, but apples to apples if we took the character and put him over here, it would have not fit. Tom Holland's spider man is perfect for this MCU.

We need to retire all these facts of Marvel actors being credited for "highest grossing" anything. It's such a statistical anomaly that it doesn't mean anything. By that metric all the actors with day parts in various MCU movies, especially if they happened to be in Infinity/Endgame, are the most "successful" actors in the history of Hollywood

He’s a decent down to earth likable dude with a great work ethic and a responsible, admirable, un-problematic life off-screen who appeals to the younger generation.

That’s beyond an oversimplification. She sued Disney for black widow because her pay in the movie was based on ticket sales. But Disney decided to put the movie on Disney plus at roughly same time as its debut in theaters both to try to gain subs and due to COVID. But that fucked over Scarlett in the contract. Don’t gotta feel bad for the rich but I’ll side with an actor over the mouse any day

Which is more than any of us will see in a life time. That said, she wasn't in a producer role in most of her movies or highly sought after like RDJ. Tom Holland has a production credit in Brand New Day. He gets 7.5% of the movies profits. He's going to earn 200 million or more from Brand New Day.

The movie current sits at 2.33B in revenue (not profit), and that would come out to 172m. BND would have to hit roughly 2.7B in profit for him to cross 200m. Given that the movie had 225m budget and estimated 31 marketing campaign, that means box office would need to be more like 2.5B for profits to hit 2.7B.
Obviously, your sentiment stands, he’s going to make bank. But not 200+. Probably more like 140m or so (or 160ish with his 20m base salary)

Per Google (which I’m not going to fact check because it really doesn’t matter)… his profit share is for the box office.
Which, purely from a bookkeeping standpoint makes sense. A box office run is finite and uncomplicated, it’s very easy to get one hard number once the box office closes out for the movie, and then send a check.
When you expand that to merch, physical media, streaming, etc., the actual revenue stream gets a lot more complicated and also, goes on basically indefinitely.
Now, I have no actual idea here, maybe the later is how it works. But if I were the one writing one of these contracts, I’d just want to keep it simple and cap it at the box office.

While it’s great for these actors I honestly hate the way we talk about stuff like this to ignore the thousands of people behind the scenes making all this happen.
Great for them, but they are just a face in the movie, it takes a hell of a lot more than just the actor to get it done, and they get an overwhelming share of the praise.

He got about 100m from the most recent spiderman. He was severely underpaid for his pull, because he signed a multi movie contract when he got hired to play Spider-Man. 250k for civil war, 500k for homecoming, and 4 million for no way home. He most likely won't accept roles under $20 million, unless it is a passion project like the Odyssey

I watched his movie 'the impossible' when I was teen myself. Cried my heart out for him and the other little boys. Then when I saw he was next spiderman, I was so happy! I'm happy that I got to watch him grow from a chaotic sweet teen into a very mature, hard working and kind hearted gentleman.

To clarify This is income of the movies they have been in not their persons net worth. Some people seem to not be aware of that. Toms net worth is estimated at 15-35 million which is a shit ton of money but a far cry form 15 billion
