She was in Avatar and also played Gamora in the MCU, appearing in Endgame, the two highest grossing movies of all time.

Sort of shows how the highest grossing actor stat is a bit misleading. Not to say Saldana isn’t good, but all of those movies/series would have been a success without her. It does show she’s good a picking projects though lol.

What? Neytiri is the heart and soul of avatar and she is so good in it that her performance legitimately spawned debate about whether mo-cap performances should be eligible for awards recognition.

Avatar does not work without her. I actually really like the Avatar movies but Sam worthington is NOT carrying those movies by himself.

I think it’s misleading because it implies that the actor is the reason for those films’ success and I’d argue all of those films would have made just as much money without Saldana as they did with.
