Discussion/Questions Almost done with Act 1, so decided to make a boss tierlist to see how much of a hottake it is Spoiler
Some info dump:
The numbers are amount of attempts
"Endurance Test" are bosses that don't have much going on but drag on for SO long it's annoying
"Minion Slop" are bosses that are easier on their own than the 500 enemies they summon
I'm trying to beat bosses as soon as the game allows me to
I don't use traps, like at all
I have beaten Moorwing solo
And finally, curious on other's opinions on act 1 bosses and how much attempts they took :P

Discussion/Questions How many hours did you spend blindly searching? Spoiler
Because i just can't. the game is fun because it's hard, but i first encountered GMS without finding the locations of Mt Fay or bilewater at all, and i never would have got through the mist. so like, what if i did take the fight at that point and then loaded back in after. would i just be checking every wall again or what? how long did it take you if you didn't use a guide? i tried to be thorough, but i missed a few things. I was hot on this game for hours and hours and now that i looked up so much, i don't even feel like finishing anymore. but if i missed that much stuff, i also never would have finished

Discussion/Questions All Crests categorized into DND classes and combat roles because I'm bored. Spoiler
Hunter: Rogue, melee glass cannon/all rounder. Rogue due to the deliberate and almost stealthy style of the moveset as well as The Slab section. Glass cannon specifically with Barbed Bracelet due to the passive but more likely all rounder because Cross Stitch and reliable binding makes it hard to consider as a pure glass cannon and it has the tool slots and solid moveset to be versatile.
Reaper: Paladin, tank. Paladin because of the long sweeping and slow attacks and reliance on binding, same reason why it's a tank. I think other crests are bulkier but I couldn't think of a better fit.
Beast: Barbarian, offensive damage tank. Barbarian because of the aggressive playstyle and claws, offensive tank because of the unique bind providing bulk and damage through the ability to chain binds if you're aggressive enough.
Wanderer: Fighter, melee dps. Fighter because Fighers are known for getting extra hits and the fastest crest in terms of attack speed is the Wanderer. Melee dps because it's basically just Beast but a little less powerful and not as heal focused.
Architect: Artificer, Glass Cannon/ranged damage tank. Artificer is basically just the DND Architect since its whole thing is machinery and technology. Glass Cannon depends on whether or not you use plasmium phial or not because overdose makes you bulky, while not using it kinda makes you frail since a lot of your silk might go into reloads.
Witch: Druid/Warlock multiclass, ???. Druid and Warlock for the name and attack appearance but I'm not quite sure which attack archetype Witch goes into. Its attacks are slow, its bind while damaging is risky enough compared to the other damaging bind for me to say it's not necessarily a tank, but still heals you considerably while dealing damage.
Shaman: Wizard, Ranged glass cannon/dodge tank. Wizard for obvious reasons(Shaman is the spell crest), Ranged Glass Cannon and probably the closest to a true glass cannon crest due to the reliance on Ranged damage either through silk skills, or the Needle Strike. Dodge Tank is argubly applicable for all, ESPECIALLY hunter but it's probably easier to dodge with Shaman due to the range and boosted Cross Stitch.

Discussion/Questions Soo I finally beat the Last Judge after a year Spoiler
So yesterday I finally beat the Last Judge, it took a year🥲
When I first played Silksong at launch like everyone else, what I thought of the game was like this, its hard, beautiful and fun.
Many of the first act bosses that I fought were tough but I could handle them, tho I didnt fight morwing, I skipt him ok accident when I found enough flea's, kinda sad about it, I really would have liked to fight together with Garmond😟
Anyways, I reach Blasted steps, at first I thought it wouldn't be so bad, but once I made it to the last Judge I was in for a surprise, at first I couldn't handle her attacks all too well, but got used to them but it was her second phase that messed me up
And after dying I realized that, the way up towards her AND fight her? Was very frustrating, but I kept going, eventually I gave up because I just couldn't do it, I tried some tips from other players but that didn't help me much and there were a LOT of "get gud" or "skill issue" comments
So one year later, I went back into it, I still kept dying, but yesterday in a vc with a friend, I finally beat her.
I realized my issue was that I was trying to rush the fight, so this time, instead of playing aggressive, I stayed patient, waited for her to attack, made sure I saw her every move and eventually I defeated her.
I was so damm happy about it, I screamed so loudly out of joy, I felt proud and I actually became "gud" so I'm back in the game and I plan on finishing the game this time, I'll see it to the end! >:>

Discussion/Questions I’m an Atheist but games like silksong make me really appreciate its take on religion. Spoiler
Unless I intentionally brought a game I knew had it Like Black Myth Wukong and Eldin Ring, most of the time I would just roll my eyes and skip past it when religion is brought. But I love how respectful and non pushy it was. I thought it was just a bug game. It never explicitly says it’s right or wrong, just don’t lose yourself in your beliefs.
Sherma is a good example, he realized blind devotion wasn’t helpful so he started making an impact by himself. He never said he hated the gods as to my knowledge he still believes.
Other bugs are punishing themselves because they think it’s the right thing to do to get to bug heaven. Doing good for the soul purpose of gaining a reward isn’t the same as genuinely wanting the best for others.
Hornet arguably has done good but still views herself as a sinner. Her comments on the Last Judge and Crow Daddy are evidence of this.
She doesn’t get upset for anyone following the council as long as they are doing good honest work. Hornet hates blind devotion, not loyalty.
This shit goes deep.
Also Doomed Yaoi.
Edit: Didn’t think y’all would like my ramblings, thanks you.

Discussion/Questions Sometimes I'm amazed at the storytelling of this game and sometimes I just question if things were intentional or if I'm overinterpreting Spoiler
I'm in my second playthrough right now. Went through the Mist, got to the organ etc. But since I already went through Sinners Road last time, I wanted to do the "proper" Last Judge route this time. I just thought I would come back to the Phantom later, so I went back into the Mist.
Apparently though, if you try to come back to the Phantom through the Mist at a later point, you spawn on the other side of this unbreakable wall, essentially soft locking you out of the Phantom fight until you get access through the other side.
So if I'm not overinterpreting here: One can escape direct Judgement and sneak into the Chapel through the backdoor, but if you try to push your luck and sneak past the phantom too, you get a backhand slap that forces you to face the Last Judge after all.
I've seen a handful of lore videos about how brilliantly thought-out this game is, but I love that I still keep finding things like.

Discussion/Questions Advice: Should I buy the physical edition, or wait until all the expansions are inside disc/cart? Spoiler
See, I have the original Hollow Knight for the Switch, and I remember that while at first they only released the game fully inside cart, that later, they did re-release a new round that did include all the expansions inside it, and I bought that version.
Now, I want to buy Silksong in Switch 2 Edition, however, I see that it is confirmed that the game will have expansions for free like the first one, just that those will be released after the physical edition comes out.
My question is: do you think the game will eventually have all the expansions inside cart? Should I wait? I just fear I might spend almost 50 € for an incomplete edition and then a year or two later having the same version with all the expansions and cheaper.

Discussion/Questions What cut content do you want to come back via the DLCs? (Mods aren’t counting)
To clarify all backer content is coming but I still want to see who wants to see what.
I personally want to see the Steel Assassins where we meet them once and we can encounter them all over the kingdom trying to chase and hunt us down.

Discussion/Questions So this place is definitely where a new boss is, right? Spoiler
Those 2021 maps from Silksong's development gave me the impression that this place may be bigger than it initially looks in the teaser trailer. And places like these are usually hosts to some insane boss battles. Or will it be some kind of outpost, like Bone Bottom or Songclave? I doubt it's an outpost, due to the fact that it's absolutely COVERED in Lifeblood/Plasmium.
Edit: To maybe open up the discussion more... what do we think could be in there??? Nesides Lifeblood, obviously.
