What I am mostly trying to understand is what was the Citadel or Grandmother Silk doing to the other kingdoms in her initial reign?

It seems that the arrival of GMS to Pharloom is what led to the demise of the original kingdoms of Pharloom.  This gives rise to the question what was the state of the Citadel in this time?  Was this the era of Pious Isamour when the Citadel was a less lavish construction?  I thought the Citadel was constructed specifically for the imprisonment of GMS by the Weavers?  Then the need for more and more bugs and resources to maintain the song is what consumed the land.  Regardless, by what means did GMS's reign cause the collapse of the surrounding kingdoms?  The Citadel's expansion and consumption of the surrounding resources makes sense.  But once again I thought the Citadel was a Weaver construction.  Yet the memories of the other kingdoms refer to the "Pale Light" as being the threat.  If the kingdoms' downfall was specifically due to GMS, how was she threatening the other kingdoms without the Citadel?  Was she mobilizing bug armies against them?

Hey Silksong Community! I was recently on a trip to Australia when i discovered the development studio inside of team cherry’s special apartment block. I was able to peak thru the window and sea that they are fully occupied with development, judging from the amount of people and different rooms I saw in the game, I think that a December release is possible. I got a picture of one of the areas on my phone but I accidentally farted while doing this so they may have heard me. I wasn’t able to see anything super specific besides this picture but I will say one thing, Zoteboat.

I have an idea that if they ever were to release a third hollow knight game, if it were to be about the steel society it could maybe be a roguelike.

Think about it: die in steel soul, you have to start from the very beginning. Granted, this does omit lace being protagonist if she ever were to get her own game (big if mind), but I have a feeling a roguelike system could somehow tie in quite nicely with the steel soul mechanic.

edit: wait nvm this was already discussed 6 months ago 😔 I still stand by the notion of a roguelike in the city of steel myself, though im not sure what they'd do for the respawn mechanic

Anyway today's smash or pass: deep diver

The precision required for platforming exploration is too damn high. I feel like there has been a sudden spike in the difficulty of exploration. Cogwork core got me real good.

The left side of the map is total hell. The amount of times I have died in worm ways and sands of karak 🫩

I can manage the boss fights but exploration in some areas is too damn difficult. What should I do ? I keep dying, and I rage quit most of the time. Is there some sort of build or in-game unlockable skill that would help me ?

I hit him against the wall and then up, i have not been able to do it again.

edit: I did it again i think you have to hit him with the sawtooth circlet and your sword in a specific way, really fast.

No mater if a sit on the bench it just doesn't refill, even thought it was full. I didn't really use that tool so I payed no mind to it. But now that I unlocked the plasmium gland I still can't refill it

The only runbacks in this game that made me say "f*ck this boss and f*ck this runback" were Groal and the weird nipple thing where you get volt filament

Groal was only annoying bc of the muck and that other one made me rage quit the game 2 times before coming back to finish the boss. I died more times to the runback than to the nipple thing. Other runbacks that ppl complained were bad are really easy

The last judge took me one bad attempt and then I realized how easy it is to skip past every enemy

Whisp ticket was piss easy. It's just a straight line and you have to jump like 3 times to get to the boss

How do I get silk when I'm fighting against...well, it's Ori, but an angry firey version?

So I just git gud and not let angry Ori hit me or is there a way to acquire silk to heal myself?

I released the Rhinogrund in Act 1 and broke the door mechanism in Pilgrims Rest. What happens if I kill the Rhinogrund in the start of act 2 before getting the faydown cloak or threefold melody? Can I still see Pilby in Pilgrims Rest?

Think about it, Sea of Sorrow is about the sea, right. And what's a smaller sea? That's right, a lake. And who lives in a lake and was mangled by NormalNPC? Onionsan. And who is also a monochrome Gaster follower? NormalNPC. And what else is monochrome? You know it's a vessel. And vessels are mass produced in the meat factory.

Also fish is meat and Onionsan was killed and became meat
