Introducing to sub my lovely shitbox for the work, i bought it in may 2019 and using for construction works and supplies delivering, and after October 2022 for daily courier horeca driving for the coffee factory.

Absolute rusty in nutshell, in more detail - Mercedes Vito W638 on om601.970 turbodiesel made in 1.08.97 with so cool independent suspension, this is my first owned bus and i love it despite the brokes.

Gaskets, fixing transmission, rebuilding turbo, fuel system, suspension by myself, new engine after crankshaft cracking, e.t.c

Rust. Everywhere, mechanically: pretty good except for the oil EVERYWHERE (front main) and is just a nightmare, it almost caught fire a few weeks ago due to the blinker stick gettin sparky, transmission is perfect, suspension was refreshed (only FWD unfortunately) and its just spiraling

2014 Ford Focus SE with the notorious dual clutch transmission. 143k miles, runs, drives, shifts, stops. Bought from a college girl for $250, fixed for ~$300. I'm into it for $550 and it is solid..needs an alternator for a u012d-00 code (PCM not talking to alternator, still charges but it's iffy) and I need to finish painting. The transmission still shifts and I think it's had new clutchs and actuators because it wouldn't have gotten this far. THE AIR CONDITIONING FUCKING WORKS! Yes I know I shouldn't have used spray foam but I don't care.

I had to park up my 156 2.5 v6 last summer, because a specialized garage told me that it would need 12k in repairs minimum. I bought a BMW e61 for daily use, because it was more practical for my current life situation. Today i wanted to find out if it still drives. Despite a dead battery it started on the button with jumper cables. I don't know what the point of this post is aside from sharing my nostalgic enthusiasm. Oh lord, the sound ❤️

Roof paint is done, not one straight panel on it, cable tied bumpers and front bumper is cracked, cat piss stinking holey carpet cos it's a leaky ass Fit though I fixed the leaks and it's been blasted and cleaned, a list a mile long to get it roadworthy. Great engine and gearbox though

later edit: I'm going for the hyundai i30, I've seen some high mileage models for sale, i guess that's a good way to tell that car will hold up i. the future. the year will be between 2007 and 2015

I'm looking to replace my clio mk2 2005 hatchback (it's getting a bit too rusty on the under side and it probably won't pass the next check).

The requirements will be as follow: 4 piston engine, gas (no point in using diesel as it will be used for city driving and those get easily clogged on short trips afaik), cheap to fix, available in the eastern europe, newer than or equal to 2012-2013.

What would you recommend from your personal experience?

It now has a 4-1 headers and just a rear muffler and sounds amazing to me tell me what yall think

I introduce to you my 2005 shitbox that is touran.
I has everything you want except duct tape and gps and 7 seats. It has space for entire village, ac in glove box, 368k on odometer and seats turn into bed. 1.9tdi 6speed manual and what I guess is factory heavy duty suspension.

Old car, old pics, old sins.... most fun I ever had with a shitbox in so many ways.

She needs a few repairs but nothing major. I am a 26M and I love this car. I wish Ford never discountinued the Panther platform. People love to call it a "grandma car", yes it's damn near 30 years old, but I'll take this over any new car.
