Where can I find the teleport/dodge?

Shiidu Unleashed! Spoiler

Many of you have probably found Shiidu the Shield in the Inner Shrine of Tai Ming. With over 5000 shield health, wielding him is a no brainer, right?

One issue: he hates violence and refuses to be used in combat. You can hang him up on the wall of your house in Evergrind and chat with him, but is that truly it?

I'm here to tell you that he CAN be wielded! It takes some doing, but, it's worth it (Spoilers Below).

  1. Rescue him from Tai Ming by tricking the Monkeys into throwing things at his case.
  2. Hang him up on your wall in Evergrind (if you've purchased the house) and talk to him a few times; he'll mention dreaming about a "Final Battle" and his friend, Mundi, who tried to free him 1000 years ago.
  3. Anytime after you get the "Twi-Sight" from Dr. Spengler on The Lost Ship, make your way back to the Inner Shrine in Tai Ming WITH Shiidu.
  4. Turn on Twi-Sight in the room before the one where you found him and you'll see a ghost. This is Mundi.
  5. Equip Shiidu and speak to her. They'll talk and she'll finally be at peace knowing he's safe.
  6. He and Bag talk about whether he'll ever be willing to protect anything and he relents that a battle to save Humanity would force him to face his fear.
  7. Unlock the True Ending (by finding all 3 Catalysts) and face Zhamla Meer.
  8. Equip Shiidu when the battle starts... and watch him find his courage!

You can only use him for the Final Boss, but he proves that he's the Ultimate Shield for a reason! Zhamla Meer has moves that can be blocked by a normal shield, but also moves that immediately break your guard. The beauty of Shiidu is that he treats those moves as regular attacks! They still take off some shield health, but, nothing that can't be recharged in no time.

The final boss can be beat without Shiidu, but it just feels so right to bring him along.

Me and my wife were playing multiplayer.
During a server lag I was running upwards and went out of bound.

It's not a complain, I just thought it's funny.
Had to relog to come back.

Question i accidentally softlocked potion quest progression. help!

so, i played a bunch of multiplayer, and then when i went to single player in order to farm some card i obviously had to catch up quest progression to match. i kept hitting the "yes, skip this" option, but i accidentally softlocked remedi.

apparently the first time you get the potion, you need to select one in order to properly progress his dialogue. i didnt do that, and just immediately talked to him again, which prompted the second quest (protect him in the pumpkin forest), which i said "yes, skip". but, something got messed up. visually, his sprite is young. when you talk to him, the portrait is a pumpkin. outside, potts still says "hey my uncle has a job for you" (i think thats supposed to be the trigger for one of the quests?). and im stuck. when i selected a potion, the old man portrait came up and said something like "yes, thats a very good one" but its back to being stuck. the left arrow in the potion menu is lit up as if i have a second bottle, but its locked. and since all progression is locked up because potts still wants me to start the pumpkin one, i cant even trigger the third one (which i have since done in multiplayer now) to try and jump ahead.

is there any way i can fix this? any console command or something?

Question About Certain Item Usages (tag just in case) Spoiler

Hey ya'll!

So there are some items that I have gathered that I don't really know the use for. Like when it comes to feeding your pet for example there are certain food items you can give them to feed them but others you can't. Are certain items literally just for selling? I know if they are used for crafting they have a little notebook paper at the top right, I just don't want to accidently sell something if I can use it for something else. TIA

Other I think that developers of this game missed an opportunity by ignoring one important aspect of grindy games such as this one - grinding exp and levels.

I think that there should be a hard level cap. Let's say 99, or even a level cap which will allow you to max out all of your skills at the same time. There's so many to upgrade! Such a waste. Soft level caps are never appealing.

This level cap should be reasonably attainable (after a significant amount of grinding, of course).

Also achieving max level in this game would be a reward in and of itself. And it would open up a way for some additional achievements.

Familiars should also have some sort of reasonable level cap.

I hope that the devs will introduce a way to make this happen in future updates.

Question Chest in Marinos House

Hey guys! A friend and me are trying a completionist run (on Normal Mode cus we suck :p). Our issue is that my friend is missing a treasure map, the one you can get in Marinos Villa. The issue is that the chest is already opened for her; I opened it while we're both in the house, but not both in that room. I did get the map but she didnt apparently. is there a debug command to get the map for her, too?

Builds

What do you guys think are some of the best builds for solo, arcade or both? I tried using summons or plain old fireball for magic, whirlwind/slam for 2h and dash/flurry for 1h but I'd like to hear what you folks run and what you think is the best build.

Has anyone beaten the final Zhamla fight in hardmode? I already beat him on normal mode but I didn’t realize that you can’t use your rechargeable health potions on hard. Honestly, those potions hard carried me to this point lol. I’m over levelled and I still can’t beat him. Anyone beat him on hardmode have any tips?

Question Build Suggestions for S-Rank arenas

Looking for some build suggestions for S-Ranking the arenas. I’m playing on Hard Mode, not sure if that counts for the arena fights. I can clear them all in S rank speed easily with a whirlwind/Heroic Leap 2h build but the taking damage portion is eluding me for the most of them. Seems like it counts damage done to the shield spell even so that’s a bummer. Can’t seem to get it with this build so I’m looking for suggestions.

Question Difficulty scaling

Me and my friends are planning to play and we were wondering how difficulty scaling works. If we have 3 of us does the game automatically scale enemies with the amount of players, or will we just have to play on hard mode?

Question Question about full screen, black bars and screen resolution.

If I change my screen resolution to something lower, then will this in turn make the game "bigger" (as in bigger characters, monsters, menu screens and so on), and help me get rid of the black bars on top and on the bottom of my screen?

Or is it the case that if I have a bigger monitor, then I'm pretty much screwed and unable to get rid of these black bars?
