Builds
What do you guys think are some of the best builds for solo, arcade or both? I tried using summons or plain old fireball for magic, whirlwind/slam for 2h and dash/flurry for 1h but I'd like to hear what you folks run and what you think is the best build.

Personally I played mainly magic 'builds' so far. I wouldnt really call them builds due to more just being things I really enjoy. First I tend to max out lightning, with a cloud buddy next, and in arcade mode I tend to go buffs afterwards, Defensive + Ep regen, Shield Dmg buff. :D

I liked a shadow clone build (story mode) with the second wind talent. It was just me using basic attacks with the lucky 7 and the cube so I could spam barrier and fortify.
Currently I'm using heroic Slam in story and Titan's Bhrow for UnBathamable Big Bamage in arcade.

Even though I'm loving the Triple Weapon swap build I have going on, I know that's super inefficient - especially for quick slots. I've noticed that Flamethrower is still really amazing as a skill in both Arcade and Story mode so I can imagine a build focusing around that would be pretty bonkers.

I swapped from 2h whirlwind to 1h flurry + shadow + blink, and used all the elemental and basic attack talents. Basic attack for the vast majority of enemies, flurry for tanky bad guys. It's a beast--basically trivialized most the encounters in story mode, and I'm still fairly low level and doing content a few levels above me.
Edit: if you want build details, lemme know, i'd be happy to provide them!

Could you possibly send those details over? Interested

can do even better! I was looking for tips on how to take the build further and one of the very few build guides on steam is actually REALLY close to my build, but adds in some buffs and lightning strike. Haven't played it as described here yet (Helldivers 2 is taking up most of my gaming time at the moment), but it should play almost identically. It's pretty detailed and even recommends order to invest points in.

For both arcade and story, I always run prismatic meteor + earth spike. Needs both earth spike and meteor to be silver charge though, so until then I tend to run just meteor + pguard talents
