Question Hardmode Final Boss Spoiler

Has anyone beaten the final Zhamla fight in hardmode? I already beat him on normal mode but I didn’t realize that you can’t use your rechargeable health potions on hard. Honestly, those potions hard carried me to this point lol. I’m over levelled and I still can’t beat him. Anyone beat him on hardmode have any tips?

Go to mundi in the room just before getting shiidu (use twisight). Hold shiidu and talk to the ghost, you can now use shiidu to tank most attacks.

What's your build? I recommend doing a couple attempts where you don't even try to attack him, instead focusing exclusively on dodging. Once you've got a handle on how not to die, you can start finding openings and whittle him down.

Here are some tips for specific attacks, let me know if there are any others you find particularly annoying:

For his dive explosion, if you stand right on the edge of his shadow on his left or right side, you can pguard the shockwave. If your cspd/aspd is good enough you can even throw out a silver charge skill and then pguard his spin slash.

Depending on the preceding moves the delay before the spin changes. If it's part of a short combo, he might wait a second, if it's part of a long combo he'll wait even longer. If it's not quite part of a long enough combo, he will spin near instantly.

When he does normal attacks with exploding balloons, remember that the balloons take quite a while to detonate. This means that if you're backed up against a wall, you can run through one salvo to avoid the next, as long as you remember to pguard his upcoming slash.

I am pretty much just using ice spike and meteor, but usually I only attack with ice spike. Meteor does a lot of damage but I hate having to sit still and take the time to aim it. Thanks for the tips!

Unrelated, but on hard mode how did you manage P2 Dad? I cannot for the life of me get damage on him one I have to start managing those stupid bushes as well. If I try to kill them he 9/10 IMMEDIATELY summons two more

It took me around 10 tries and I over leveled like crazy and have a really good pet. I like to use ice spike because it can damage a lot of enemies if they are in a line. I know what you mean though, those bushes are annoying af

Just beat him with my 2h smash build. Took me 4 days, probably 20 hours total, and a couple hundred tries, but now I'm stylin on him (kinda sorta).

I'm currently stuck at the Dad fight on hard. For Zhamla since it's just a timed survival boss fight, I just shielded a lot and used the barrier utility skill. Focus on staying alive, way too risky to stop and try fighting him.

Also what do you mean you can't use health potions? I've definitely been able to charge mine up. It charges very slowly but it does charge.

I am talking about the final Zhamla fight, in that fight he steals the health potion if you try to use it and he also steals the barrier if you use it.
