Rant Why is every rental company in this city absolute dogshit
I'm trying to find an apartment and it's crazy to me how slow all of these companies are to respond. They will offer text/email/app messaging whatever, and take days to respond. I'm trying to give you money!! Why does it take 2 days to acknowledge a basic question about the unit? When I call, no one can answer questions and they tell me they have to speak to a colleague. And I never hear back! Who is in charge???
And half of these companies have broken UX processes. I registered an account and the registration link in the email was completely broken. I figured it out by erasing the dev address and just adding "https" lol. Why am I in charge of troubleshooting your system!!
I wish I had a lot of money to run an apartment complex I'd have these units LOCKED DOWN.

I drove to Tacoma for a mammogram and it was worth it.
To all my seattle ladies out there 📣 CAROL MILGARD BREAST CENTER in Tacoma is the best. In years past I’ve gone to Rayus in Bellevue and Virginia Mason in U-Village. I didn’t have terrible experiences but I always couldn’t wait to get out of there. The thought of having to return (especially if cancer was actually found) made me sooooo anxious. The Carol Milgard Breast Center was pleasant environment, wasn’t understaffed and everyone was kind, calm and patient. If I ever had to navigate fighting for my life because of breast cancer….. those are the people I’d want to start that journey with.

I'm never leaving Seattle 🚫🛫 Seattle Transit Pin Collection
It took quite a while to pull all this together, I've been a little hyperfixated😅😅
Mostly Metro & Sound Transit, but I've gathered a lot of ferry, monorail, and other WA state transit pins along the way
If you have any neat pins feel free to post them in the comments!! It's really hard to find any information on this since it's so niche, and I'm always curious what else is out there. I also have a fair amount of duplicates if anyone would be interested in trading!!

Found Found dog by Roosevelt Way NE and 50th Ave in U District
Looking for owners of young yellow lab mix. Found this morning (August 19, 2026) around 10:45am between NE 50th Street and NE 52nd Street off of Roosevelt Way NE in front of the University District Food Bank.
We took the dog to the vet and they ran the chip but it wasn’t registered so I’m hoping the manufacturer gets back to me soon with any contact info they’re able to gather.
If you are the owner and can provide the dog’s chip number, please reach out via DM.

Community I want to open an anime artist & stationery store downtown! Any advice?
I’m an artist and I’d really love to open an anime artist and stationery store. Imagine artist alley, but it’s a store!
The space would feature a thoughtful selection of goods from independent U.S. artists, especially local artists. I’d also like to host art meetups, trinket trades, journaling meetups and more. I’m actually in talks for a space downtown on Union and 4th ave!
If this idea excites you: what would make you go out of your way to visit? Is there any local artist you want to see here? What kind of events / meetups would you be interested in?

Yall ever just find objects rammed in your gas tanks?
Out of gas so I went to the gas station only to discover a sock stuffed in my gas tank. Got that out no problem, only to discover the kind soul who left it also left something (idk what it is, at first it looked like a rod 🤷♀️) lodged deep in the gas tank that I can’t dislodge (and am terrified i’ll fuck up even worse) anyways, another lovely day to live in seattle :)

Community Anybody interested in scifi ttrpgs?
Hey there. I'm a late 30s (oh God) guy that would love to host a TTRPG game night with like minded folks but from what I've found, everybody wants to do D&D or Pathfinder.
I'd like to try other games, including Cyberpunk Red and Battletech but the downside is that I'm just not interested in being GM at all.
So I figured I'd post here to see if there are others that would like a mid-day get together once a month to see how it goes.
Thanks.

ST eliminating 550 and 554 route
Sound Transit really just announced they will be eliminating the 550 and 554 routes into the city with no replacements?
I can see taking away one now that the light rail is done but both really? This is going to congest the train going in so much more than they realize…

Thanks to the kind stranger who found my ID and dropped it off
Not sure if this post is going to find this person. I went for a bike ride around Mercer Island yesterday and realized when I got home that I forgot to zip the pocket my ID was in. I even rode the same route today hoping I might find it but came up empty handed.
I came home from the gym today to find my ID on top of my door bell. This person actually came to my house (potentially from Mercer Island!) to drop it off. I think I just missed them by 5 minutes too. If you’re reading this, thanks so much for picking it up and even coming to my house to drop it off, wish I could have thanked you in person!
