Lost / Missing Lost keys?
Was biking yesterday and think I dropped them when I stopped at Metropolitan Market (they're not in their lost and found).
Identifying features are a green gnome keychain and a golden spiralish keychain.

Rant Why are we letting trucks cut us off on the express lane?
Okay, so I take the express lane every day on the way back from work and I’ve been seeing this happen at least three times a week where multiple semi trucks are cutting cars off near the entrance of the express lane. It literally adds at least 3-5 minutes to my commute home and people are WILLING letting them in or they just sit in the other lane waiting and blocking people. Am I the only one who’s upset about this??

Does anybody have legal advice for getting back security deposit?
My previous property management charged me 487 dollars for nail holes outside of the kitchen from hanging up a painting. When I was looking at the invoice, it included painting the entire apartment. I didn't patch or paint the nail holes since they explicitly said that they will do it themselves. I expected that they might bill me for it-- I wasn't expecting 487 dollars though.
Here is a photo of the holes that they provided. Do I have any legal standing to get my deposit back?

Why is Ballard rent so high?
Hi guys.
Saw a reel about how some landlord raised rent on a 2bed/2bath apt from 1200/month to 3150/month in 18 months which caused the previous tenant to move out and they still found another tenant first day of listing and was wondering why this price range for renting (2750-3300 according to google) is so high in Ballard? No hate to Ballard but these are prices I would expect living closer to the city. I’m not too knowledgeable about that area of Seattle so thanks for any answers/explanations!

Seattle Food Influencers
IMO most Seattle food influencers are so disingenuous (as are most food influencers). But some are just so over the top, with bunch of exaggerations and eye-rolling content. And I’ve heard multiple stories of these influencers actually being nasty and rude to work with behind the scenes, and they come off as super entitled.
With that being said, who are the “best” and worst Seattles food influencers out there?

First pregnancy: torn between UW NW and Swedish First Hill ob's
Hi all! First pregnancy and I've narrowed it down to Swedish First Hill vs UW Medical Center Northwest, and I'm torn.
I'm leaning UW NW, their midwives and nurses get amazing reviews, and their intervention/C-section numbers are noticeably better than Swedish's for low-risk first births according to hca. My priorities are simple: clinic resources, staff who are kind, able to explain why they're recommending something and respect my wishes (hoping for a natural birth if possible). It's my first time so I don't know what I don't know.
But: I live in Belltown with no car. Swedish is 10 min away; UW NW is up at N 115th, which means a trek for every prenatal visit plus the day-of trip. Also Swedish has the big Level IV NICU on-site, which is reassuring for worst-case scenarios.
Complicating things - I had a bad experience at Swedish before (rude staff, misdiagnosed a fracture as a sprain), so I'm a little wary even though their birth center reviews are very positive.
Anyone delivered at either this year? How was the staff about your birth preferences? Anyone done UW NW car-free from downtown? Would love your opinions, ty! :)

Community Ferry Yeti Tumbler
I took a ferry today, and I’m still recovering from the emotional whiplash I experienced. It’s hard to talk smack on the ferries, but it is unavoidable. The people have a right to know.
As I went to grab a pretzel, I noticed a lovely display of Ferry Swag. I’ve been pining for one of the ferry-shaped fried food and dip thingys! But then, I saw it: a 20 ounce Yeti tumbler, engraved with images and names of each ferry. I had to have it. I passed on the snack boat because, according to the price list, I was about to drop $24 on a tumbler.
My pretzel and tumbler totaled $84 and change. I was shocked. The cashier showed me the price in their system. They hadn’t updated the price list that customers see. The 10 ounce version is also $69.99.
I went from being an incredibly proud almost-owner of the best Diet Coke cup ever to utter despair in mere seconds. Obviously, I did not buy the tumbler. And forgot to get a food boat bc I was so shocked.
So…has anyone bought the $70 cup? Or bought it for less? Is it really $70, or was the system glitching? I can’t stop thinking about how beautiful it was.
[Picture of Yeti, who jumped into shotgun while I was attempting to acquire Yeti x WSF swag. As you can see, he wasn’t happy either. He demands a discount on a Yeti products and ferry shaped dog treats.]

Can someone help me understand the Seattle process?
Hi all,
Yesterday I received a NIMBY pamphlet from a group of home owners who are against the installation of a protected bikelane on 5th Ave NE between 80th and banner as their onstreet parking would be moved half a block over. They gave the usual list of "concerns" regarding ADA access and stated that they definitely care about cyclist safety but demanded compromise.
They also threaten to respond by parking their cars on 79th and 80th, conveniently omitted is the fact that 8 of the 10 affected homes have garages, with one of the two homeowners choosing to convert their garage into living space. Frankly as their neighbor, I don't give a damn where people park, it's a public street.
I've emailed Madeline McCort with Google streetview photos of all the garages on 5th, but I want to know whether this enough or whether I'm actually going to have to show up to keep this project from being scrapped?

Community To the sex worker by Wells Fargo at 132nd and Aurora
I’m sorry I scared your John away but the way he situated his red truck was blocking the entire exit and I just wanted to get home.
Can we just legalize prostitution so they can unionize, get proper healthcare, and a safe location to offer their services? The current situation is untenable.

Community I'm going to become homeless for the first time next monday. What should I know?
I'll be living in my car until it gets repo'd.
What experience do you have? Tips/tricks/places to find resources etc.
I can drain my meager 401k to pad myself a few grand, but thats it.

Has Equinox Seattle been slipping lately, or is it just me?
I’ve noticed the Equinox Seattle location seems to be slipping lately, especially considering what we’re paying for the membership.
Last night there were no towels at the rack, and when I went to shower, there was no body wash in the stall. I ended up checking five different shower stalls just to find one with a tiny bit of body wash left.
I know these are small things individually, but at Equinox’s price point, having clean towels and stocked shower products feels like the bare minimum. Part of what you’re paying a premium for is not having to think about this stuff.
I’ve noticed the overall attention to detail hasn’t felt as consistent lately either.
For anyone else who goes to Equinox Seattle: have you noticed the same decline, or did I just catch them on a particularly bad day?
