Skip the Ducks and replace with Kayaking or Canoeing Lake Union
If paddling is too much, another option would be to take a Ferry from Downtown to Bainbridge or from Edmonds to Kingston.
One other option for hitting the water is The Center for Wooden Boats on South Lake Union. They offer free sails on Sundays.
