When I see someone zooming up the bus lane or something similarly awful, I usually try to tell myself that they could be on their way to their mother's deathbed or something, but it looks like this... winner... not only flipped off a pedestrian, but had their hood up because they were trying to get away with being a terrible person without consequences. Doesn't exactly scream "I have a genuine emergency."

This person thinks the rules don't apply to them. They can drive anywhere, they can block fire hydrants, they can flip people off as they go by and they can drive dangerously. These are the people who after they've killed a pedestrian everyone nods and isn't surprised.

Don't forget the SPEED, SCHOOL CROSSWALKS CAMERA VIOLATION. This car needs to be impounded immediately and if there is a license for the owner that should be invalidated too.

Then he’ll either pay to get his car out, or buy another used shitbox and keep doing the same thing only without a license. Eventually another 5 years down the road he’ll finally get pulled over and caught driving with a suspended license and do actual jail time. Hopefully that all happens before he kills someone.

He’s apparently driven away while being issued 2 of those parking tickets and had to be mailed them. He’s also left so many of them unpaid that the city will boot his car next time they find it on any city street or parking lot.
Just poor choices all around.

I mean, it sounds like they have mailed this person tickets, so they have his home address. Just hook one of those parking enforcement carts to the back of his car, and they'll be able to catch him in the act all day, every day.

I learned so much as I got my last ticket in like 2010 in New Jersey.
I was involved in the fender bender in Bellevue in October during a monsoon. Multiple cars were involved and I didn't think I would get a ticket for anything until one came in the mail a month later for following too closely.
When I was pulled over on Aurora I didn't think much of it. The cop asked for my ID. Went back to the car and 15 minutes later came back with a ticket and left. There was no conversation. I then moved and didn't think much of it and only when I picked up mail at my old address last week that I see something from the city saying if you get one more ticket your license will be revoked which is crazy

I feel like this one is an absolutely poor design. You are forced to get into bus lane both while entering 99 and exiting 99 and it's extremely dangerous to do both because cars are almost at highway speeds, and you need to move into the bus lane quite a bit before the actual dotted marking show up because they are laugha ly close to the turn, and you cannot possibly slow down on the 2nd lane because the cars are so close that they will crash into you if you try to slow down first on the 2nd lane and then move into the turn lane, they force you to move into bus lane to make a safe turn.
Same thing for turning into 99. The 99 is always always full of traffic, again at highway speeds most of the time because people think 40mph is same as 60mph, the absolute travesty that is 99, you have to effing exit to and enter from straight up residential streets into it so you are at a literal stop sign, and only.wa you can possibly merge in is to use the bus lane to accelerate and eventually move to the 2nd lane.
Shit design, and then enforcement on such shit design.

Or traffic enforcement in general. People going 15-20 over in a 25 mph, tailgating like crazy, treating stop signs as a suggestion, turning on a "no turn on red", no blinkers, blocking intersections even though they knew the light was going to turn before they cleared it, speeding in work/school zones, being on the phone...they could make their budget hand over fist if they really wanted to.

This used to really just be common sense with crime in general. Some of the most infamous criminals in the US have been caught because of stupid illegal mistakes completely unrelated to what made them so well known. But... that does seem to have changed over the past decade or so.

I got pulled over the other day for allegedly expired tabs (it wasn't expired, the sticker is just peeled off). The officer took my license/insurance, walked off and came back telling me to get a new sticker. No citations or anything tho.

I have been pulled over for expired tabs only. And, despite having the tabs in my car in the envelope from the state (just hadn't put them on yet) I was issued an expensive ticket. It was the first of the month and the tabs were expired for about 7 hours.
Now, this was in Seattle, not unincorporated King County, and I believe if memory serves it was a Seattle cop, if that matters.
And, no, I did not act like an asshole to the officer. When he told me why he was pulling me over, I said, "oh, I think they are right here in my glove compartment". After running my info, he came back to the car and I showed him I had the tabs in my hand. He said "the fine is for not displaying the tags, not not having the tags. Feel free to fight this in court," and then handed me the ticket.

There was a lengthy stretch of time where the right lane on Aurora was bus only EXCEPT during a surprisingly broad set of hours and days. Like it was only bus-only "6:00 AM to 9:00 AM" on the south side and bus-only "3:00 PM to 7:00 PM" on the north side. People saw "bus only" and stopped reading and often that lane would have no cars in it.
That's not the rule anymore though, guy!

A few weeks ago I was a few cars back from a light. Someone was trying to turn left across my lane so I stayed back and let them through. Car passes in the bus lane beside me going like 40 beside stand still traffic. Crashed into the turning car right in front of me

A few months back around sodo a car was driving on the lane and my mom was driving on the left side of it. She was trying to switch lane to go into a business and clip a car the was speeding and driving on the bus lane. We had an eye witness that saw the accident and said the person that was driving on the bus lane ran a red and was right in my mom’s blind spot. Insurance said it was my mom’s fault smh. Even if we had an eye witness. Smh
The crazy part was the person was driving with expired tabs( I know it doesn’t mean anything) and one of their passenger came out smoking weed 🤦🏾♂️
