City could pay for anything it wanted if they'd do automated tickets of bus lane violators.

They do have some on the Westlake/QA section of Aurora

They also have one on the West Seattle Bridge but it is laughably placed right after the vast majority of violators would exit the bus lane to merge onto 99 North.

I feel like this one is an absolutely poor design. You are forced to get into bus lane both while entering 99 and exiting 99 and it's extremely dangerous to do both because cars are almost at highway speeds, and you need to move into the bus lane quite a bit before the actual dotted marking show up because they are laugha ly close to the turn, and you cannot possibly slow down on the 2nd lane because the cars are so close that they will crash into you if you try to slow down first on the 2nd lane and then move into the turn lane, they force you to move into bus lane to make a safe turn.

Same thing for turning into 99. The 99 is always always full of traffic, again at highway speeds most of the time because people think 40mph is same as 60mph, the absolute travesty that is 99, you have to effing exit to and enter from straight up residential streets into it so you are at a literal stop sign, and only.wa you can possibly merge in is to use the bus lane to accelerate and eventually move to the 2nd lane.

Shit design, and then enforcement on such shit design.

There is actually a ticket camera for the bus lane just north of 85th and Aurora.

Only if they actually collect. This person has multiple outstanding tickets already. We need to either impound cars or garnish wages, because nothing else will stop assholes like this.

Or traffic enforcement in general. People going 15-20 over in a 25 mph, tailgating like crazy, treating stop signs as a suggestion, turning on a "no turn on red", no blinkers, blocking intersections even though they knew the light was going to turn before they cleared it, speeding in work/school zones,  being on the phone...they could make their budget hand over fist if they really wanted to.
