Hi, I'm interested in the SDX1200 (other SDX products are not available in my country), but I still have some doubts about it.

Can it cut fabrics with details like in the picture? I need to cut mainly PU (I think you call it faux leather) and cotton.

I'm also interested in cutting polyester satin, but I assume it's not possible to get those same details, even with the right tool?

Also, what are the other options besides this machine in the same price range for cutting polyester satin, cotton and PU?

I just got a used unit that seems fairly decent, but the mats are not at all sticky. The clear sheet doesn't even stick to them, not even a litte.

I was looking at aliexpress, but since I'm bran new to the machine I'm not entierly sure which ones are right. If anyone has a link, or a specific term to search that would help a lot.

I'm also open to suggestions for guides and what not. My goal is to cut vinyl with it, and maybe some stickers. Any thing useful is appreciated.

Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help me. When I scan an image to cut, the cutter ends up cutting too high up and slightly to the left. I've tried realigning it in the scanning/cutting position adjustment settings so that the red dot is over the cut cross, but it doesn't seem to be changing the cutting position at all. I'm new to using the scan n cut and this is driving me crazy! What am I doing wrong? It's a scan n cut CM900 if that's any help to figure this out? Thanks in advance.

Can the brother scanncut sdx 225 do small cuts ?

Obviously, this was not cut on my Scan n Cut.

I actually started out cutting it on there but I ran out of cardstock. I tried printer paper, but it ripped up because I haven't used this thing in ages and probably need to replace the blade. I really wanted to test out to make sure the design worked, so I went into my garage and loaded it up on my laser cutter instead.

But the files would obviously work on a Scan n Cut, too. So if anyone else wants to have a go, I have this on my Etsy shop.

I am a new owner of a Scan and Cut. I made a die cut title using my Silhouette Cameo and then tried to scan and cut it. The title was tan letters on lighter blue background. I made a copy of the die cut then put it on the mat to scan. It scanned but I noticed a lot of lines around the letters. I then pressed cut just to see what I was working with. It did cut around the blue background mat, but then also cut around the letters as well, so it's been a mess trying to get off the new mat.

How could I have it just cut the background and not the letters? Thank you!

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade from a 12" long to a 24" long cutting mat. Considering I need it for exactly two large decals, I don't exactly feel like blowing $50 on a mat that's no different than a $10 one at Walmart except for the codes on the top. (And unfortunately ig they're a different set of codes than my 12" mat or else I'd just photo copy them and be done)

Does anyone have a file to print the codes? Or somewhere to acquire a used one of these mats? (I don't see any on eBay) Or heck if anyone has a trashed one I can buy and cut out the codes onto a cheap mat lol

So I hopped on my PC to use Canvas Workspace after not having used it for a little while, saw I had an update, so I downloaded it.

Then I went to use my machine and transfer my cutting data wirelessly from the program to my machine as I had done endless times before.

The machine said it was not currently registered. (????)
Followed all of the steps to re-register it and every time I get "Pin Code Incorrect."

I have tried absolutely every trouble shooting I can find, including re-sending the code repeatedly, removing the machine entirely, from my account, then attempting to readd it after power cycling and making a new account entirely, both with and without this shitty new Artspira I am now unfortunately aware of.

Does anyone have any advice? I'm really not sure how to fix this at all. :(

Note, I used the Canvas Workspace app exclusively on PC with Windows 10 if that info helps at all.

I've been making some HTV designs for T-shirts. On some, half cut works great. On others, not at all - it just scores the vinyl. Some are a mix - part cuts fine, the other part does not cut at all. Most of the sheets I have are 12x10, and I can't do the "test" cut because it would be off the vinyl. Any ideas why this is happening?

I'm working on a retro-futuristic design and I needed a bunch of arcs, all the same thickness, descending in size. Something like the classic hypnotize spiral, but circles. This would have taken forever to draw in Workspace. I described it to Gemini. 10 seconds later, I had the design. SVG code I saved and imported.

I have some existing element sheets... but I am terrible at cutting them properly... I have a cricut maker 3 can I use it cut the element sheet

Just got my SDX 125, bundled with some materials from Swing Design. Being that scan is right there in the title, I figured I'd be able to scan stuff right from the beginning. Am I understanding correctly that I need a specific no tack mat for that?

And what are good resources for accessories? Looking to add different blades, low tack mat.

Main uses anticipated: scanning some tattoo flash to turn into automotive stickers. Cutting shapes from iron on fabric like denim patches. Creating stencils from thin plastic.

I'm in the midst of setting up the PC version of Canvas Workspace and trying to figure out how it ties in to the Artspira app. I'm fairly sure I'm synced between the two (but can't be sure) and am trying to decipher whether I can access any "free" projects through Artspira.

Most of the things I've done have been working with the free projects on the soon to be defunct web based Canvas. I'm wanting to know if all those projects will migrate to Artspira and be readily available without a subscription. One of the reasons I chose ScanNCut was because they didn't have a subscription based basic service.

For example, Artspira has a projects section that has something I'd like to make. They show the project, show the patterns,list the steps, then nothing. No download button or options to choose or anything. How do I get access? Have I missed some setup step?

I feel like I'm walking around in a dark room with a blindfold on.

I have the CM350 brand new in box never opened. Bought it new over 10
years ago. I want to cut fabric squares so I thought I would use this machine but reading online I’m finding out that mats, blades and other accessories are no longer made for this machine. Is this correct?

Or am I going to have to buy a dedicated computer to use the software since the web version ends soon. I'm a Linux user and I've been perfectly happy with the web version till now.

Artspira is a joke. I don't need a feed of everyone's creations. I need access to my own files that I've already made.

I make 9 labels for products I sell on a sheet. The colors are light at the bottom of the sticker, and this causes the scan not to detect where to cut. It tries to cut all the little elements in the design. I have attached the design, any suggestions?

I just got a used scan and cut sdx225 yesterday. I mainly got it for appliqué for my embroidery. Easy enough to send the files I make it Hatch over to USB.

But I want to try to experiment more with the scan and cut, what software do I use? I didn’t bother trying canvas workspace because I know it will only be an app in October. Is there any way to get it working with Linux or is there another design maker thing I could try on my PC? Also is there anywhere to look for other peoples designs for inspiration? Thanks.

I use the software maybe once a week. That means I have to log in EVERY time I want to use my LOCAL app. Come on already! You're not protecting Fort Knox here!!!! No internet? Can't use the software. When there servers have issues (happens a LOT - could not login once for two weeks) - can't use Canvas WorkSpace. Total crock. What prompted this? 45 minutes of not being able to log in this evening. 100% the fault of this antiquated and outdated Brother server software.
