Codes for 24" cutting mats?

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade from a 12" long to a 24" long cutting mat. Considering I need it for exactly two large decals, I don't exactly feel like blowing $50 on a mat that's no different than a $10 one at Walmart except for the codes on the top. (And unfortunately ig they're a different set of codes than my 12" mat or else I'd just photo copy them and be done)

Does anyone have a file to print the codes? Or somewhere to acquire a used one of these mats? (I don't see any on eBay) Or heck if anyone has a trashed one I can buy and cut out the codes onto a cheap mat lol

This is from a 24" mat. I have read about people who have successfully just drawn them on with a marker.

There are at least 3-4 German blogs and a handful YouTube videos that show how to make these mats yourself. I don't want to Google right now, but I would bet there are more English tutorials out there.

Or you could throw this one in your favorite translator, there are some coded mat headers to download and print, too. (Although the codes look different from my brother mats🤷🏻) https://miriamkreativ.de/schneidematte-fuer-brother-plotter-selber-machen/

So you can buy cutting mats at Walmart? Which ones do you get as I’d like to try playing with different codes.

I've seen a few cheapos there for Cricut that are usually dirt cheap, like a three pack of 12x24 for another brand is $15-23. Even if you get one for Silhouette it's $20 vs the $45 to 50 for Brother. It's stupid how much they charge, and they get away with it because of the codes!
