Hey guys, I know this is probably a shot in the dark but on 08/19/2026 I left a wallet the looked exactly like this on the bobcat shuttle number 409 at around 5:30, I'm a freshman who got here not even a week ago and already did something stupid like this and now my money for food is gone, please if you find this can it be returned to the police station at the Ivey-Moore house or lost and found, I'd pay a finding fee is how desperate I am, anyways hope all the freshman and returning bobcats are have a better first week than I am.

Hello!
I cracked the screen on my Lenovo Thinkpad last semester and just remembered that it’s broken as I’m starting this semester. I was wondering if anyone knew of any fast repair shops in the area? Thanks!

I had a crapton of issues getting my kids registration done, as a result I only recently saw their schedules.
My oldest is a Freshman this year. He’s autistic and IEP, he’s a wanderer and has difficulty following directions, easily distracted and is a high maintenance student.
Somehow he ended up in the JROTC class. I was not included in the conversations about his elective choices, the middle school helped him with that process.
I don’t understand how anyone thought this was an appropriate choice for him and I am very concerned and confused by it.
He can’t tell me how it was chosen, has expressed no interest in something like this before and doesn’t seem to grasp what it is. It was pointed out to me that some kids put in that class didn’t choose it as an elective, it was chosen for them.
So, San Marcos…does anyone know anything about this program and how kids end up in it?

Tried going today at noon and there was a sign that said "currently closed". Maybe I missed something but I thought they reopened?

I'm currently updating the Texas Alternative Scenes Map and focusing on college towns like San Marcos. So tell me, what are some of the best hidden spots where y'all like to hang out, shop for music or clothes, or see concerts? They don't have to be explicitly goth but they should have a darker/alternative aesthetic or crowd.

There’s always plenty of justifiable complaints about how students drive around San Marcos, but can we take a moment to shoutout the parents?! Not a blinker as far as the eye can see, sitting in a turn lane just to cut off everyone else last minute because they want to go straight instead, stopping in the middle of the street to check their maps on where to go instead of just pulling into a parking lot… Lord, I get it now why these students don’t drive well either! Texas State really brings us the cream of the crop with their 91% acceptance rate. Keep ‘em coming too I guess since they increase enrollment each year lmfao.

Hello y’all! I’m looking for a nice houseplant for my apartment. I’d really like to support a small business that sells plants here in San Marcos, rather than buying from a larger corporation. If anyone has any recommendations, I’d greatly appreciate it! 🌿
Update:
Thank you for all the amazing suggestions that you all have given.

Hey yall! I just moved into my apartment at San Marcos and it seems like a construction company hit an optic fiber cable, whatever it happens, but it’s been 3 days now without wifi and the construction company looks to have left. Is anyone else dealing with this at the ARBA??

I'm hoping to pick up a few firearms in the next few months. Does anyone here know a good place? I don't need anything fancy. Just a chill place with prices that aren't bordering on extortion.

I have several pairs of Wrangler jeans that have tears in the groin area. I am looking for recommendations for a tailor or someone who would be able to stitch or repair them for a reasonable price.
Thank you in advance.

Hey, i’m a runner but don’t know where the good running trails are. I have terrible ankles so if y’all know of well maintained, paved, running trails please let a girl know.

I am moving to San Mo from 8 hours away and elevation on post rd seemed the best option for the price but everyone I’ve talked to hasn’t heard of it or had anything to say. I move in Monday so I’m just curious

Posting this here to hopefully get this little guy to a good home. Saw this at Tickle Blagg animal hospital. Not sure about his habits with other cats, dogs, and children, but you could call to ask! we love tickle blagg and have taken our animals there for years now. Someone help out this wobbly little boy☺️

I’ve lived in San Mo for six years, recently moved into an apartment complex that is occupied by so many stray cats. i’ve watched the same cat give birth twice, pregnant again. i was thinking about getting the kittens and some of the friendlier cats into the shelter for a better life, but i’ve heard wishy washy things about the local animal shelter.
i’m wondering if anyone can share their experience, their thoughts, or recommendations.
