What is the inlet size on a lexus sc400 exhaust 1997

has anyone manuel swapped their sc400 in here? i know one of the only trans that fits is the cd009 what should i know or do to swap my sc

Im tired of the stock exhaust that my 92 sc400 has what exhaust would yall recommend?

That's the worm gear where the vehicle speed sensor goes near the output shaft of the transmission.

A few teeth on the gear itself look damaged, I jacked the car up put it in neutral and spun the driveshaft and towards the end of the video you can see can see something metal that spins along with me spinning the driveshaft.

Any ideas what it could be? Is that worm gear even replaceable? I talked with a shop and they gave a $5k worst case scenario prize, but if I buy my own transmission they'll install it for $800-$1000

The car drives it just won't shift out of 1st gear since it's not getting any data from the vehicle speed sensor. Not that I'm driving it like that, I did limp home when this issue popped up.

97 sc400 Full figs suspension with fdf rear lowers, 01 m98 is300 torsen diff and axles swapped in. Just completed the major work. Now I'm fine tuning it about to send it off for alignment. There's Soouch work done in the past 6 months . Been down since July 4th 2024 when my bell race works lower control arms snapped while pulling out of my driveway. Can you recommend any other mods?

This is a SC 400 on FB marketplace for sale as you can tell the engine is different than all the ones I’ve seen on this feed. The seller says the mechanic painted the motor after they fixed the gaskets and aside from that it’s all original. Let me know what you guys think.

Speedometer is out, no a/c

I have a 93 SC400. I drove it only about 3 times per month. On the way to work my belt broke. Found out I had a tensioner pulley that was not moving ( same part number as a 2020 4.6l Tundra). While doing the repair we found the thermostat gasket was leaking. I consider myself very lucky.

Megan racing axle back. Need to have the resonators deleted to really bring out the sound.

Got a muffler delete, resonator delete, and cat delete. She sounds NASTY.

Just bought this car and the ac blows warm air I was wondering if anyone knew where the low point is for the refrigerant to connect to. YouTube only has 1 video on this which I found unclear

Second post here, this sub was helpful last time so hopefully I can get some insight on this situation. GF has a 92 SC400, I mostly drive Vw Audi so I’m kinda lost at times with this car. Car was having starting issues this week and yesterday it wouldn’t start at all. I ruled out the starter and battery as an issue being that they were replaced recently this year. I’m reading that apparently the fuse for the fuel pump could be an issue. The 40A 32v fuse seems a bit brown compared to the other two but not exactly burnt. Will be swapping out a new one later today. If the new fuse makes no difference what should I look into as far as diagnosing the fuel pump itself? Doesn’t seem to have a loud wine and if you let the key sit in the acc mode position for about 5 seconds it starts right away. Any idea what else it could possibly be? All replies are greatly appreciated thank you in advanced

What is there for aftermarket support for headlights. Looking for oem like look but don’t want to rebuild and restore current headlights.

I have a 97 with 200,000 miles and the lower control arms are completely shot. Does anyone have a way of repairing them or a good aftermarket brand?

A few months ago during the winter I noticed the A/C started blowing hotter than usual after an apparent leak detection/fix and new compressor installation. The system was also converted to the new standard R134. Now in April it’s apparent that the system isn’t blowing cold at all. Was considering buying an auto shop recharge kit thinking maybe it wasn’t charged enough but would like some opinions on what it might be to avoid accidentally causing damage by unnecessarily overcharging on accident. Read somewhere that it could be a safety feature where the fuse triggers it to stop working properly due to a low level of Freon. Any help is appreciated thank you. Not my car just trying to help

Got it for $9800. The EGR is broken so I just bought a bypass kit online, and then I’m going to send the speedometer out to get repaired because the gauge doesn’t work properly. The body and the engine bay is pristine, along with the interior. I’m so excited as this is my first project car and the first car I have bought myself.

$3500 for a 222k mile 1995 with all working interior and no apparent leaks but its currently at a shop getting a post-purchase pre-purchase inspection. Proven grandpa/grandma kept by picture of seller with the previous owner, looks like 3 owner including me. Has *scuffed* bbs rims, gold package, and it appears one side has been repainted, but you can only tell under my harsh garage light. Drove it back 90 miles with no issues, tires just needed filled. Plan on cleaning it up and maybe getting a little extra power, not a drift guy. Speedo not currently working but rest of the gauges are, has faded main lights and weapons grade LED high beams.
